Quiet yet convenient it’s a great place for a base of operations in Bali out of the beaten path. They took care of me and my luggage through multiple comings and goings.

I loved being surrounded by the beautiful, lush green garden that encompasses the whole property. I looked forward to having a cold shower in the outdoor bathroom every day! The rooms were also beautiful and had a feeling of privacy whilst also being quite open and spacious. It was great to be in a quieter part of Denpasar, with a fair few small local shops within walking distance. The locals were super friendly and welcoming, and the staff at Katang Katang all had a very calm, gentle vibe going on. Breakfast was simple but good, and I really appreciated them having a water filter in the kitchen.
I liked everything :)

Ade, the primary contact for the accommodation, was very communicative once I booked the room. His English is certainly advanced enough to fulfill most, if not all, of your needs. He offered a ride from the airport to his facilities, and I strongly suggest you take advantage of this service.; Upon exiting the airport, you'll encounter a wall of drivers holding up names and a small group of people offering transport services, which may require negotiation. I have confirmed that his price is competitive. I met the driver, and we proceeded to the hotel by car, which took about an hour. Upon arrival, Ade himself greeted me, along with another individual who helped carry my luggage. Ade ensured I was hooked up to the Wi-Fi immediately, which allowed me to transfer payment directly to the driver.
Katang-katang is located away from the city center, although it is still within the city of Denpasar. It is very quiet, which is what I wanted. You will hear a howling wind which blows across the tops of the numerous trees that surround Katang-katang. I think it's absolutely brilliant. Naturally, you will hear a cacophony of fantastic bird sounds as well. If you enjoy these natural sounds, you'll be perfectly happy at Ade's place. The Accommodation is amongst a typical Balinese neighborhood, so you will get the feeling of what that's like. Just outside the gate and to the left, there's a charming little shop selling a variety of household items, snacks, and cold beer. There appears to be a cultural acceptance of barking dogs in Bali. Occasionally they will bark and moan, but if you can put up with that, then you will have no real issue.
I asked for a quiet place and good internet speed. That's what I got. The breakfast was a lovely bonus. I could drink as much coffee as I liked.
There was a bit of dust under the bed that I thought could be cleaned.

Awesome accomodation! The owners can help you and advise you on everything. It is a very quiet area and still not too far from nice sights when renting a motorbike. I highly recommend the guest house!

The room was very lovingly furnished. Towels and water were available after a long flight. The air conditioning kept the room pleasantly cool. The communication was friendly and helpful.
The room is very noisy. I could hear the chairs moving outside my room at any time. The bathroom is very simple. Most importantly the faucet needs an upgrade.
I had requested a transfer from the airport. the host was very nice and organized a very courteous driver. However, after my research, I found that 200.000,00 IDR from the airport to the accommodation was completely overpriced. I also found it strange that I shouldn't give it to the driver directly, but to the host in cash. As a result, I no longer had much confidence.

Very homey, quiet, peaceful, and clean. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. There is ready breakfast in the morning. Facilities are working well. Place is near the famous tourist places. Only 1 hour away from Ubud.

This traditional Bali house is well away from the tourist area of Sanur. We had the two rooms upstairs which overlook the garden. The beds were comfortable and the open air bathroom downstairs very pleasant with a hot water shower. Breakfast was simple but suited us fine. Highly recommended if you would like to experience a little bit of Bali life away from the tourist area.
A bit hard to find a meal nearby but we ate a meal one night at a local warung which was tasty and cheap.

Good value for money. Nice room, one of the bathrooms was sort of outside, which was a nice touch.
Unfortunately the owner can't do much about this, but I stayed for two nights, and both nights I was kept awake by the barking of stray dogs.
Apart from that it was a nice place to stay.

Super Nice garden, location and staff. Even both our grab drivers were surprised about how nice the aria was. The room was beautiful! The airco was really good as it was quiet and not blowing so strong well cooling really good. The breakfast was simple but perfect after so much rice in the morning at our other stays.
The bathroom was not clean, but that is common in Indonesia.

Very quiet and good starting point for your Bali adventure; as usual, bike riding is a must in Indonesia, or a Grab bike is a tap away. I recommend Six a Six nearby for a nice chat and drinks with locals

We really enjoyed our stay at Katang Katang Guest house. The room was comfy, clean and beautiful (we got the one with the balcony). The house itself has a really peaceful vibe.
The only tiny downside would be the location. But you can rent scooter or take taxi for cheap to join busier areas.

Beautiful garden, spacious room and very friendly and helpful owners. I enjoyed my stay at Katang-Katang guest house immensely and would stay there again if I make it back towards Denpasar. The family running the guest house was very nice and I learned a lot about Balinese culture and traditions by talking to them. I also appreciated that the guest house is in a quiet neighborhood and on day trips to other parts of Bali Denpasar traffic can easily be avoided.

Pretty property, fairly clean with comfortable beds, aircon worked well and there was a shared kitchen area. balcony was nice to have and shared bathrooms were always clean.
To be honest this property was a little strange to us. The owners are not really around and other reviews mentioning their absence are correct. the balcony had no furniture on at all and in our twin room there was one bean bag. lastly (and very annoyingly) we only had one PowerPoint in our room! this was a huge problem as we couldn’t use the lamp when charging our devices so we had to have the very harsh overhead light on all the time. the shared kitchen was not the cleanest but passable, and they do do scooter hire which was useful. overall, if you know your way around, and only want to sleep there it’s ok and in a good location to get laundry etc done. Grab can also be delivered.

The location is idyllic, the room was cosy, we even had a small balcony.
Bathroom is shared but it is an outdoor one, which made the whole stay even nicer.

Very affordable and a family run business. Very kind and friendly staff. The option to borrow a scooter is what makes this an exceptionally good offer.
The bathroom is getting well used, and not much to do, or places to eat which are walking distance from the property.
