Quaint Cottage out in the countryside. Good local walks and not too far from the town of Ashbourne. Had everything we needed which made it a very good stay and would happily book again.

Old world feel. Great view and quiet village atmosphere.
Low doorways and uncomfortable seating.

we like having our own front door

The location was good, the rooms were good sizes, bedroom was large and bright
The bathroom had a very strong smell of damp that affected my breathing when I went in, no window in there… paint peeling due to moisture, sink was dirty, the shower head was dirty….there were damp marks up the curtains in the bedroom.
Generally dirty, dirty crockery, dangerous pan handles, the bed was very uncomfortable, no games or books as advertised, bulbs missing from lights above bed, dirty dish brush full of food. Tea and coffee remnants in the pots - should these have been either filled or cleaned? We moved to a different property after a fight with booking.com and Sykes Cottages due to the damp issue but are still seeking a refund for having to stay here the first night.

Great location, large nice shower.
Hard mattress (which when you have to take off the mattress protector before you leave is very stained), tiny tv that we could only get to work in black and white.

it was perfect for the two of us. it was everything we had hoped it would be. close to the local pub which was great as was the food. we will definitely book again at the cottage.
there wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Perfect location for the Peak District
TV a bit dated and some crockery a little sparse

Quaint little cottage.
Very good space in bedroom
Good spacious shower with easy access.
Efficient microwave and fridge freezer.
Fabulous views. Good location for exploring the countryside with easy access to Ashbourne town and its facilities.
Parking available for 1 car.
Useful porch allowed space for luggage, boots and coats.
No bread knife. Trying to cut bread with a paring knife was not good.
Clothing left in one of the bedroom drawers, didn’t inspire confidence in the deep cleaning schedule.
Would have liked more information about access issues in the description; I could not reach any of the cupboards or shelves in the kitchen. The stairs were very steep and narrow. The sofa was very low so hard to get out of it!
Electricity kept tripping out.

The Location was excellent for what we wanted to do. Walks on the doorstep we’re wonderful
Bathroom needed some attention and property was a little bland but that could have been the consequences of COVID 19

Location was amazing! Walks from the door, and a stone's throw away from Ashbourne for supplies. Local pub - the Okeover Arms - was great, a lovely addition to the village. Cottage was great, had everything we needed, and a little more. Clean and well presented. Nice and minimal decor as well made for a cosy feeling for us. Paintings by the owners were amazing! We want to buy one they were that good!
Slightly larger TV would be a plus, but not a necessity. Board games or something to do would also have been a pleasant addition, but understandable with the COVID regs put in place.

Location was good, with lots of walking nearby
Fabulous well equipped cottage ideal for two
Not really a dislike or did it pose a problem for me but the bedroom doorway was very low and was issue as was not labelled an hazard.

Everything. Beautiful cottage in a wonderful area and everything and more than expected.
Nothing and that is a very genuine comment
