Location and view was great. With a few improvements this property is a good place to stay.
8.0 / 10.0
The rooms are very nice except for the blinds in the bedrooms. Carpet near the front door has a lot of stains and the upper deck needs work. Definitely NOT in walking distance to the beach but other than that it was really nice! Surprised it was 2 stories.
6.0 / 10.0
The negative reviews of this place are pretty accurate. This is a hillside property with steep and narrow roads. The view is spectacular with plenty of window and oceanviews. The layout of the house is pretty decent. The king was pretty comfotable.

Pictures are false!!!! First off, View is spectacular!!!
But place is super un down. Very dirty. Place needs to be taken off VRBO and have have some major work done!
Carpet was absolutely disgusting. Deck had rotten spots and no stain like the picture. Mold growing in every window. Bring you're own kitchen supplies, Teflon peeling. Rusty kitchen items. Spider webs. Couch only seats 3 people. Kitchen chairs, all the backs are loose. Questionable stains and blood on a comforters and blanket. Food under bed. Spoiled food in cabinet and bottom of dishwasher. There's more. But this is enough.
VRBO is wonderful to work w and customer service is great! Will rent from VRBO again! Just don't rent this particular place until it gets redone!

Beautiful house. Had a few issues but were addressed within a reasonable amount of time. The views of the pacific and the Rockaway beach. Cute little town with a awesome gift shop.
We would stay again

First off the reviews left for this location are SPOT ON. They may not have been all positive ones, but they were very useful for us, while navigating our way through the house. It was an amazing view and a lovely home. Most of the negatives you can read on other reviews. They were all manageable and hopefully the owner/manager will strive to take care of these issues. Overall we were very happy with what the house offered and it was extremely peaceful. We would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

A gem in Rockaway with an amazing view of the coast. Highly recommended for those looking for a larger pet friendly home.

We loved the view and the relaxing environment the house provided!

We were super excited to get away for the weekend but there were so many things that need improvement in this house. Also the pictures online are old as there is no longer a blue couch and other things are changed. Pictures need to be updated.
-There are barely any kitchen utensils which made it difficult to make any meals. They only had a 1/3 measuring cup and then tablespoons
-We couldn't dry any clothes since the metal hose was sitting on top of the dryer.
-The house reaked when we got there.
-There was food still on the floor and the floors seemed to not be cleaned at all.
-The blinds in the room with the king sized bed were missing more then it even had so couldn't shut them.
-The downstairs bathroom was missing the toilet paper roll to put the toilet paper on so it had to sit on the window ledge
-The dishwasher made a terrible sound every time you opened or closed it. Seemed like it was broken.
-The stove was so old or outdated that you couldn't read any numbers on it to know what temperature you wanted so it was a guessing game.
-All the puzzles had pieces missing same with the games.
-It would be nice to have a baby gate for the stairs we could put in when childern are there.
-The beds were so uncomfortable we could not sleep.
-The bedding in the bunk bed room seemed to have yellow stains on them, I am not sure if it was pee or what.
-There was many issues and I wouldn't likely go back.

There was no walk way to beach. The road is very windy and steep with no guard rails so it would be hazardous to try to walk road down. The view was spectacular and the ocean sound carried up so put us in trance. The locks are difficult to operate and the deadbolt needs to be installed correctly as it's not currently secure. The carpet upstairs has to go. I vacuumed the cushions in furniture because there was a landfill under cushions. Great layout of rooms. Loved having the full size washer and dryer though the dryer vent was not installed properly and the lint was substantial and leaking out of vent hose. Bathrooms were great. deck has some rotting areas with exposed nail heads. Don't walk barefoot. bring your own speaker for television as tv speakers were difficult to hear.

My friend and I absolutely LOVED this house! The view from the balcony is breathtaking. It was a very bright and welcoming home to take a vacation in. There was a slight dog smell, but I am not complaining as it is dog friendly.
The bedroom downstairs is so comfy. I actually want to get the same mattress now.
My friend and I are already talking about coming back to this house next year.

My family enjoyed the wonderful view and that is was a very short drive to easy beach access. The house was clean when arriving and we were cleared for early check in. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of that. This is a place I am hopeful to stay at again. Love Rockaway, Oregon.

This property is as advertised. The view is A-May-Zing. Worth the stay. It’s on the bluff above Rockaway with sweeping views of the ocean. The house was clean and there were plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. The beds could use new linens and the mattresses should be replaced. However, this alone wouldn’t stop us from renting again. There is minimal seating with just a couch in the living room. But again…that view. It snowed on the beach which was pretty cool. Parking can be tricky if you have a full size pick up or larger SUV.

Just loved the view. The home was very nice. Roomy, very bright and cheery. Complaints would be the bottom bunkbed mattress needs replacing. It seems to be a children's mattress but it needs to be upgraded for an adult. Bottom out all night. Master bedroom sliding door blinds are missing quite a few strips. More teaspoons as there are only two left of the set. A supply of coffee filters are a must. There is some there now as I left what we bought. Replace the burned out outside bulbs in the carport, please. A suggestion would be removing the upstairs carpet and replacing with something like wood laminate. It would look so sleek and fresh and be much easier to keep clean. Overall we just loved staying there and would do so again, the mattress is the only big issue. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful cliffside home and allowing us to bring our furbaby. We had a fantastic stay.

We actually left a day early. Not a great place for eight people for sure. Kitchen definitely not set up for cooking for a lot of people. Not a lot of space. Thank goodness I cooked some meals a head of time. Cookware was something I could easily gotten at Goodwill. Not enough utensils. No place to put your luggage. No drawers available. Bathrooms were very nice except...4 rolls of toilet paper for four nights? Not enough for adults and teenagers. Carpet definitely should at least me spot cleaned, really awful. One of the outdoor chairs was broken so we set that aside and brought up the one chair from downstairs. Deck is definitely going to need repair. Not a lot of seating for TV/Movie watching. Did play with some games. Beds definitely need updating...springs were quite noisy. Last but not least the decorators need some classes unless you really love bright yellow...EVERYWHERE. Would not want to stay here again. Actually for the price I really expected a lot more. Please make a note, I’ve asked several times, take my husband Ray off the records as he has passed away.

I loved the home it was like 2 studios with a view downstairs and a view upstairs cute decor and loved the neighborhood but the kitchen floor was dirty had food still on floor and wasn’t moped well lots of stains and food splatter all over walls. Carpet so so tried to re vacuum and they were broken anyways the price was good for the size and view but if you are picky about being clean I wouldn’t suggest place o and floor boards were filthy needed to be repainted to! Love the view!!

This is our 2nd time staying at Hip Nautic in Rockaway. It was as wonderful as the 1st time. It has a very homey feeling that is relaxing and memorable. As a cook....I am always impressed at how the kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything I would need. The view is incredible and we spent most of our time at home on the deck watching the sunset. Thanks for another great trip Hip Nautic & Rockaway Beach! We'll be back soon!

It was a great house. A bit smaller than expected in the living room, only 1 large couch for all to sit on and the bed in the 3rd bedroom definitely needs an upgraded mattress but it was a fun stay. The view is spectacular and we cooked most of our meals so the kitchen was adequately stocked. Make sure you see the 2 car rule. It’s kind of tricky getting in and we had three cars but were lucky to find somewhere relatively close. The neighborhood is nice so we did not worry about vandalism. Fun town with lots to do if you can force yourself to leave the beautiful beach.

Nice place. Comfortable, easy drive to beach access and all of the fun downtown spots.
I’d suggest mattress, bed, and downstairs blinds upgrades.

Wonderful view of the Oregon coast from the deck.

This house was wonderful! And the view was totally what sold this rental! It has the most incredible view of the beach! But we were kind of disturbed about the fact that we had a few other parties, renting a few other houses in the area for this reunion. And their houses provided so many more supplies. Such as saran wrap, aluminum foil, plastic bags, storage containers for leftovers, since there is a kitchen. At this property, bring your own everything.😉

The is a great place to stay and explore the northern coast. It was so nice to come back after day of exploring and sit on the deck and watch the sunset.

Situated near the top of a steep hill, the house was very accommodating and well furnished.

As advertised in the property description. Out of the way and yet has great view and can hear the waves. Do the shopping at the grocery store in Tillamook to save money.

Wonderful view and a very comfortable and cozy home.
6.0 / 10.0
Great view! Not enough seating for 5 adults (family with adult children). Could be cleaner, found hair in upstairs bed (short ones). Pictures make it look like there are 4 places to sleep but futon is in master bedroom and lower bunk bed mattress was too thin and not comfortable. But what a view!! With a few adjustments the place would be perfect.
4.0 / 10.0
The house needs a good cleaning for what you pay per night. also smells like dogs. If the view hadn’t been so amazing I would have it a one star
8.0 / 10.0
Nice house with great views. Neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing. There was a couple issues with the home. We arrived with a half full garbage can which eventually overflowed. The upstairs patio screen door is in need of repairs, the bottom screen is torn away from the frame. The futon in the master bedroom is not very comfortable and is more suitable for children. The master bed was very comfortable though. Bunk beds were moderately comfortable and a bit noisy. Queen bed was very cozy. We did not have any dishwasher detergent so I called management and they responded promptly. We were also a little short on laundry soap but brought some with us for back up. The upstairs side door is hard to open. Overall we had a great time.

There were 7 of us, we enjoyed family time and putting on a thanksgiving spread. We enjoyed the view/ sunsets were amazing!!
Couple suggestions would be a few extra folding chairs might be nice, bunk bed mattress wasn’t to comfortable. Regardless it was a great time by our family!

These are the things we were unhappy about... At the door is askes for you to take your shoes off but the carpet was so dirty none of us wanted to even walk around in our socks. You could tell it had been vacuumed but was no way clean. When it came time to cook the pots and pans are in horrible condition! I send Vacasa pictures to show them what was unacceptable and asked for new fry pans. We had them bring new ones the following day and the man that came was very nice and looked at the carpet then we told him of other issues. The coffee pot still had grounds from the last tenant. A few of the plates in the cupboard were dirty. Not many bowls for cooking either. Just not set up for cooking for a large group. The last night we were there we found another pan that had not been cleaned but was put away. How can the maid not check on these things? on the plus side the view is beautiful! the showers had great water pressure and there were lots of towels to use. the beds were decent except trying to sleep on the lower bunk there's not much of a mattress, but if you take the top one down and put on the lower one it made it doable. We were very happy for an early check in! I would stay in this house again if Vacasa takes care of the carpet and making sure the kitchen has cleaned and usable equiptment.

We booked this home for our Honeymoon and it was perfect. Quiet, clean, AMAZING views and an overall great experience. We are already planning to book this home for our 1 year Anniversary. Wonderful experience! Thank you!

Nice view.

I've stayed at many vacasa houses over the last 25 years, this was by far the dirtiest house to date.
I used the bedroom on the main level, due to not being able to navigate stairs. There was a strong pet urine odor in that room that only temporarily went away when the window was open.
The floors were very dirty. My husbands white socks were brown on the bottoms, and did not come clean when washed.
The duvet on the master bed was covered with dog hair. The person staying in that room had allergies and could not use it. The house in general had a lot of pet hair everywhere in it. The dryer filter looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while, and was almost entirely pet hair. I have stayed at other pet friendly houses in the past, but none of them have been this dirty ever.
The screen door that led to the deck was ripped loose at the bottom, which kept us from leaving the sliding glass door open for ventilation and the deck was not fully fenced off, so the fear of the dog getting out the ripped screen door and running away was a huge concern.
The couch in the living room only sat 3 people, unfortunately there was 4 of us so we had to take turns sitting on the hard wooden kitchen chairs. Would suggest adding a chair or recliner to the living room.
The stay was enjoyable, but could have been better if we didn't have to clean prior to that enjoyment. If this is a normal condition of cleaning, I would recommend looking for a different property.

Cute house with a spectacular view, just right for the 6 of us. Lots of extra linen and dishes too.
6.0 / 10.0
First the positives: The view is gorgeous. The main living area is light and bright. There is a full bedroom and bathroom on the main level so anyone who has issues with stairs could stay on the main level. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and the bathrooms were a nice size if you are sharing
Concerns: When we arrived, the home smelled overwhelming of febreeze or some other chemical. While the downstairs was relatively clean, it as clear they had not vacuumed the living area and the stairs. When I found the vacuum and tried to vacuum, it didn't work great and smelled horribly. The whole area smelled after I vacuumed. We opened the windows and lit a candle which helped. The carpet is stained and there was an unpleasant odor if we shut the window. Vacasa did reach out but I had already vacuumed and other than cleaning the carpet, I didn't see anything would help. In short, if you are dog friendly rental, carpet isn't the best option.
Tips for other guests: The upper lock box is easier to. open. They have replaced the furniture in the living area with only a small sofa. It was fine for a family of three but if we had another couple there, the only options would have been the kitchen chairs. A lot of the restaurants are closed during the week in Rockaway and open Thursday or Friday. The ice machine is extremely loud. We turned it off at night which solved the problem. The Sea Baron food cart in Garibaldi has the most amazing fish and chips.

we enjoyed our stay very much. the kitchen was marginally equipped, no wine glasses or normal size water glasses. microwave range hood was not working. No BBQ grill. The living room had one couch for seating, we brought in deck chairs for our group of 6 to sit and talk or watch TV. The view was undeniably the best part of the house
