Ths aartment is in an older complex but it is updated to a very nice level. Very comfortable quiet and convenient to town.

The property is near the center of town and is very easy to access. There’s parking and keyless entry. The apartment is very clean, and the owners have included several features that I found great to have, from the electric teapot and good selection of spices to the hooks in the bathroom for hanging wet towels or bathrobes. Washer and dryer were great to have too. Definitely would stay again.

We were minutes from the headwaters of the Upper Sacramento River; shopping for crystals; Handsome John's Speakeasy for pizza/sushi/beer at the end of the day; the town of Weed; and Mt. Shasta, of course. The apartment was roomy, comfortable, and private. Totally recommend this property!

LOVED staying here!!
Super clean and cozy. Equipped with everything I needed and quality kitchen supplies. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve encountered in a rental like this and the water pressure in shower was fabulous. Amy was not only amazing to rent from but is also an incredible yoga teacher (definitely check out her studio Shasta Yoga while you’re there). I can’t say enough great things about my time there. Thank you Amy!! I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing stay
Beautiful cozy place for a stay in Shasta area. Thank you!

Perfect location
The space was comfortable and well equipped, the price was comparable to a hotel which made all of the amenities and space that much more worth it. I loved being able to have quiet walks around the neighborhood, or into town to grab a bite, but even driving there were lots of interesting things to see only 15 minutes away.

Snowy Anniversary
This place was good for hanging out, walking to town, parking under a roof. The furniture is comfortable and tasteful. The heaters work well. Don't expect beautiful views from the windows, or two hot showers immediately in a row. The code operated door lock was finicky. We never managed to open the key box.

Mt Shasta City Apt.
Convenient, clean apt. in Shasta City. Wi-Fi, Netflix, no tv, full kitchen and very small yard. Responsive owners.

Home away from Home
This was our first time with this type of lodging; we will gladly stay there again if we ever return to area (which I really hope to!) Owners are really nice and respond very quickly to our questions. Quiet neighbourhood, clean appartment; we loved it.

Property not as expected
I was staying at this nice apartment in July 2019.
I booked this unit with Air Conditioning on VRBO since we had temperatures in the mid to high 90s. (On the VRBO website it is not possible to see what kind of A/C is on the property: centralized A/C, window unit. Misubishi unit, etc. That needs to be addressed by VRBO!)
Upon my arrival I noted the A/C unit is in the kitchen, a mobile unit with a hose through the wall to the outside. I turned it on and it was loud. I couldn't listen to music, meditate or watch TV.
At night my bedroom was really hot. The cooler air was not coming into the bedroom because it was in a different area of the apartment.
I notified the owner of this problem and was instructed to put a fan into the living room which would blow cooler air into the bedroom at night. This is unacceptable!!
You pay a lot more money for properties with A/C instead of one that doesn't have A/C.
If I would have known that the apartment was like this I would have not booked it at all. It was too hot to sleep and with additional fans on way too loud. The property was misrepresented!
Also vrbo renters have to pay a steep Cleaning fee and Service fee! At this property guests were asked to wash their dishes, take off bedsheets and throw towels into a hamper before checking out. THAT is for the cleaning service to do or the owner has to waive part of the cleaning fee.
I am very responsible with other's property. I am clean and quiet.
Besides that the property is in a nice location . One can walk to town in no time.

Good and Bad
Smoke from this season's northern California fires left us unable to hike, sightsee or spend time outside. So we were forced to stay indoors for our 2-night stay. The good: a comfy bed, nice kitchen and laundry facilities, nicely appointed living room. The bad: no TV, poor lighting and a small bathroom. I slipped and fell entering the old bathtub/shower.

Very clean and comfy!
The apt was exactly as described and pictured. The furnishings are very nice and it’s a pleasant space. The interior is much nicer than the outside.

Wonderful place right in the heart of beautiful mount Shasta.
My husband and I loved our stay here it was excellent to be able to walk around town so easily from the apt. And to drive up mount Shasta to the main parking in just 15mins. Thanks for a lovely place to get a nice sleep and feel at home. :)

Perfect location, great apartment, amaxing views
Rick and Amy were responsive when we asked to stay for another night. I think it was with. 10 mins that I got an answer. The apartment was in a perfect location so we could get to everywhere we wanted to hike pretty painlessly. The apartment was the perfect size for my husband and me and the kitchen worked for us to make our own meals or go out when' we wanted. We love the town and surrounding areas.

Quiet, Comfortable, Peaceful, Tastefully Decorated & Safe
I very much enjoyed my stay at this property. Everything was as advertised. It's perfect for a single person or couple. As a single woman traveling alone safety is important and I didn't feel unsafe at anytime. The neighbors I encountered were kind and polite. Being so close to Mt. Shasta was energizing. A very easy walk to all the local shops and restaurants. After a busy day of activities it's the perfect place to unwind. The washer and dryer was a huge plus - who wants to do laundry upon returning home from vacation?! I have many friends who travel to Mt. Shasta and I will recommend this property to all of them. It's a place you would want someone you care about to stay. :-)

Comfortable convenient lodging
Rick and Amy's apartment is comfortably furnished, convenient to town and winter (or summer) activities. It's central location is ideal. Rick and Amy were both very responsive to our requests. Rick was kind enough to loan us a pair of snowshoes and Amy promptly installed a light blocking curtain in the bedroom. We enjoyed our stay. My only recommendation for improvement is that a microwave would be helpful. Thank you Amy and Rick for a pleasant stay.

Weekend Stay
Amy's and Rick's apartment was clean, warm and cozy. My husband and I arrived a few hours earlier then check in, we texted Rick and he warmly texted back, Make yourselves at Home. We enjoyed our three night stay. I would recommend a rubber mat in the bathtub, it is a slippery surface, other then that the apartment was great. Thank you.
