About this house rental
A wonderful 19th century Cotswold farmhouse restyled for 21st century living in a setting to take your breath away. WiFi, Freeview, home cinema, log fires and a jacuzzi bath will tempt you as much as the big outdoors where you can laze in hammocks, BBQ till dawn or just enjoy your own private meadows and woods. For an additional charge, you can also enjoy our beautiful outdoor hot-tub which comes with ambient-lighting and music. Whatever you are planning, the farmhouse will help make it special.
There is an outdoor pizza oven and BBQ which is free for you to use. And the icing on the cake? All power and heating is generated from our own on-site renewable resources!

Children and pets can run and explore to their heart’s content – as can grown-ups too! Overspill accommodation can be made available and caravans or camping is also possible (additional charges would apply). Really nice private house in the countryside

The photos really don't do the sheer tranquility of the settinf justice. Total isolation in the cotswolds, beautiful surrounding scenery.
The house is nice if not new spec on all the funishings, but the real win is the location and the setting.
Perfect for our group of friends who wanted to relax and stay up late drinking and chatting and enjoyinf the hot tub.
But I'd also come back with my family any day of the week.
If you do stay, check out the Rose and Crown in Shilton for a great meal.

We have just had a wonderful 6 night stay for Christmas. The house was amazing, very homely, warm, and lots of space for all the visiting extended family. The kitchen had a ridiculous amount of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, wine glasses etc, great for catering for the large family. Hot tub was fabulous on the cold starry nights, and we were kept warm by the log fire in the evenings. The location was quiet and peaceful and felt safe with 3 young children. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

Stayed for the weekend for a hen do. Had a fantastic time, Tad (the owner) was very helpful throughout process and on check in. Property was lovely, perfect for big groups. Pizza oven and BBQ were great and eating outdoors under the pergola was wonderful. Lovely grounds and beautifully quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub at night under the stars. A great weekend all around; would totally recommend!

As a family we get together every year, during May half term, and Kencot Hill Farmhouse is by far the best house we have stayed in thus far.
The house is perfectly situated within a short driving distance to many attractions such as the Cotswold Wildlife Park and it is also only a stones throw from the beautiful village of Burford.
The grounds attached to the house are vast and our dogs and children had much fun in exploring them. Never before have we stayed in a house where you can just open the gate and have so many walks on the door step. It was also fantastic to see herds of deer in the grounds along with its other vast array of wildlife.
The house has all you need for a weeks holiday and is certainly well equipped. The pizza oven was a huge bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking in it several times.

What a truly wonderful stay at Kencot Hill Farmhouse.
We wanted to find somewhere that could accommodate a large gathering comfortably, be a safe place for children to roam freely and of course have the pleasures of a holiday such as the pizza oven, outdoor speakers and a hot tub. And this place delivered. Great communication with Tad and Liz throughout the planning and booking process and the house was extremely accommodating with small things such as crockery, plenty of towels and just the little things that sometimes get forgotten. We would all highly recommend staying here and would love to come back again in the future.

I hired the farmhouse for a hen party weekend of 10 people. The house is a great size with plenty of room and all the amenities you could want. The location is beautiful and with no neighbours keeping the noise down really isn’t a issue. We hired the hot tub and with the Bluetooth sound system it was lots of fun, sitting in the hot tub at night star gazing was stunning. Tad the owner was very accommodating on a few requests we made prior to our stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We had a great weekend in this property. It is sometimes hard to find properties for large single set groups, but this was ideal. It is set in 50 acres so you don't need to worry about the neighbour's and it is so well equipped to ensure you have a fantastic stay, for example there is a big cupboard full of towels for the hot tub in the utility room, the kitchen has plenty of crockery, glasses, serving bowls, decent knives etc. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't find (and all in a logical place). The bedrooms are great and all have lots of space, the upstairs bedroom with a double and a sofa bed is really two rooms. Ideal for several families or big groups. There is a big, well maintained hot tub with lots of outside lighting around it and in the trees, and places to sit next to it, making it really sociable. You can go on some nice walks from the property and it has it's own woodland to explore. Tad, the owner, was very welcoming & great at communicating with us prior to our stay. If you are considering a stay here I would recommend you do it - you won't be disappointed!

This place looked great on the website and was even better when we arrived. Tad the owner was on site to meet and greet all the family and 3 dogs. We felt comfortable right away with the tour of the house and grounds. And what a house it is. Superb rooms throughout for 10, plenty of rooms to spend time in. All of which are highly decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The grounds are perfect for dogs and thanks Tad for taking on the 3 dogs (rabbits not so slow btw). The garden area was perfect for family boules and wine sessions. The only problem with it was ...... not doing a full week. The location was spot on for Burford, Bourton and Stow as well as ideal for early morning cycling. I no doubt assume we will all want to return.
Tad was also kind enough to go to the trouble of posting back a foot pump we'd left behind. Thank you for a great stay sir

The house is lovely, very well equipped and comfy, with loads of towels for the hot tub, which was wonderful. We were a large party of 12 and filled the property but there was more than enough room for us all. It is quite difficult to find as it is set on its own in the middle of the countryside. The site itself is interesting with an old disused runway close by and a large field of solar panels. It is however very quiet and we saw different wildlife, rabbits, red kites and deer during the course of our stay.

Stayed at Kencott Hill Farmhouse with all the family, I can only say what a wonderful place to stay, remote enough to to chill from the hectic lives we live, but close enough for all that the Cotwolds has to offer. The house is superb all you could desire spacious, mod cons and comfortable. All the family from the grandchildren, my daughters and their partners and my wife thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the farmhouse. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

We had a brilliant week at Kencot Farm. The surroundings are amazing and it's so peaceful. The house has everything you need and more. All the rooms were comfortable, the beds were amazing( best sleep I have had in a long time) and everything was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed watching the aircraft from Brize Norton flying over and were amazed to see four deer walking across the grounds. Kencot is a truly wonderful place and we are really looking forward to our next visit.

We had a lovely stay at Kencot Farm. There were 12 of us celebrating a hen weekend and the cottage has all you could ask for and more - large bedrooms, comfortable entertaining areas (with huge home cinema TV and sound system for a proper party!), a jacuzzi bath, a lovely garden and even some resident cats. A little difficult to find, but once you do, it is well worth it! Would definitely recommend!

We have just come back from this house after spending a week there. We had our wedding blessing and reception in the spacious grounds. Tad happily helped us out where he could, and we really could not have asked for a better day. We, and the guests were in awe of the location. The house is well equipped, and my partner (now husband!) was very impressed with the huge 4HD TV, and surround system. The external lighting is exceptional, and perfect for family time, chilling out or romance. We were incredibly blessed with good weather and our time at the house will remain with us forever :) Thank you

I booked this for a group of 12 girls to have a relaxing hen weekend and this was perfect. We had plenty of space and it never felt cramped, the beds were really cosy. Very quiet location, lovely walks, nice garden area to sit in. The two cats were very friendly. Very well organised and we did not need anything. Owners are lovely. I highly recommend and very safe if you bring children. Burford has some lovely shops and pubs too. I would definatly come back.

We have rented a large house for family and friends for over ten years now and this one comes high on the list of "best houses". It was very well equipped (although some of the china and glass needs renewing) and clean. The amount of equipment provided was amazing (we really loved the telescope). The grounds and surrounding area were just what we wanted and the dogs had a wonderful time. We did not however realise there was a pond in the garden and one of our dogs just loves water. However, we did manage to keep her out of it. But for families with young children this could be a problem. It was nice to have the enclosed garden and be able to let the dogs out without worrying as long as we kept an eye on Billy to ensure she didn't go diving! We would definitely book this house again as it is only an hour or so away from where we all live so we did not have a long journey. Even though there were floods and rain all around, this seemed to be a little oasis of dryness and we managed several walks in the sunshine and even the dogs didn't get muddy. If you need a big holiday house, in a beautiful area - then this is the one for you. Thank you Tad!
PS The house is quite hard to find in the dark!!! More signage needed maybe?
