Unique house in secluded area. Had large family group
Accommodated all easily. Lots of deer and even bald eagles. House had a lot of cool wood crafted areas.

Stayed Father's Day weekend with 4 other couples. House was wonderful. Everyone was impressed with the house, with the amenities, with the seclusion, and with the wildlife that was abundant.
Stock up on groceries in Cambridge on your way in. There are two wonderful restaurants/bars in Taylor's Island (Boats and Hose; Palm Beach Willies) that were open on the weekend.
We boats and went crabbing/fishing.
The owners were great to deal with, and were very responsive to questions.

This was our 2nd Thanksgiving stay. Family and dogs had a wonderful time. The house and location are beautiful. The owner is very responsive.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at a VRBO rental on the Chesapeake Bay, and I can't say enough about how perfect our week-long stay was. From the beautiful surroundings to the endless activities, this vacation exceeded our expectations in every way.
First and foremost, the location was nothing short of idyllic. The house sat right on the Chesapeake Bay, offering breathtaking views of the water that greeted us every morning. It was the perfect backdrop for a week of relaxation and fun.
One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of outdoor activities available to us. Fishing in the bay was a daily adventure, and we had no trouble catching a variety of fish. Kayaking along the calm waters allowed us to explore the shoreline and get up close with nature. And crabbing – it quickly became a family favorite. The rental even provided all the necessary equipment, making it incredibly convenient for us.
Speaking of convenience, the house itself was well-equipped and comfortable. The spacious living area was perfect for family gatherings, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms were cozy, and everyone in our group slept great.
One thing that made this vacation truly special was the fact that we were able to bring our Vizslas along. They had an absolute blast running around the large yard and playing in the water. It made our family vacation feel complete, and we're grateful to have found such a pet-friendly rental.

The property was great. Very tranquil and picturesque. So many birds from eagles and osprey to dozens of shore birds. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing. The house has just about everything you need for meals, entertainment, and beach/water activities. We planned on spending the majority of our days at the house and cooking all meals on site.
We did some crabbing, fishing, kayaking, sitting on the beach, yard games, grilling, board games, puzzles, listening to music, walking the grounds. In our group we had some older family members who stuck to the first floor bedrooms, and some younger kids and parents who used the 2nd floor. Because of how the house is sectioned off, sleeping was quiet and we didn't hear anyone in the kitchen early before we were ready to wake for the day.
The jellyfish were present in large numbers five out of seven days in both the bay and creek, so swimming wasn't really an option. As expected the mosquitos were bad at times. We sat on the beach and used bug spray. Some days the breeze was enough to keep the bugs under control. Neither of these items are something the property owner can control and are part of being right on the water. They did not meaningfully detract from our great experience.
Thank you!!

Great house for celebrating Thanksgiving and my husband’s 80th birthday. Four sleeping areas for privacy, great kitchen which is well equipped, and beautiful views. Property is amazing with lots of grassy areas and walking trails—the dogs loved it! Highly recommend this house…

Great house and property. We hiked, fished, kayaked and enjoyed both amazing sunrises and sunsets from this unique location. The kitchen is spacious enough for multiple cooks to work simultaneously and it’s very well equipped. Laurie, the owner is very responsive and thoughtful, ensuring we were comfortable during our stay. The only drawback was that we couldn’t stay longer.

We are a three-generation family of 12. Every year we rent a place by the water where we can bring our boat and everyone can have a bed. The house was big enough that each family unit had their own wing within the multi-level floors. So everybody was able to have their own space and privacy as needed. It was also big enough that we could all sit together at the dining room table (very important for us). The openness of the gathering rooms (living room, dining room and kitchen) worked out really well for our large group. The front porch with the rockers was a great treat as well as the back patio overlooking the water.
The house was perfect for us as well as the many acres of ground surrounding the house for us to enjoy. Unfortunately, due to the massive amount of jellyfish, we were unable to go into the water. On the bright side, we brought our 24-foot boat and were able to dock it right on your property. This worked out beautifully. The kids (big and small; old and young) did a lot of crabbing and fishing at various places around the property. We all had a blast. True there were lots of mosquitoes, but only to be expected. We all had a great time and loved the house and the huge property. I do have two suggestions: because of the size of the house and how many it can accommodate, I suggest another refrigerator/freezer. Because the stores are so far away, we brought all our food (again for 12) for the whole week. We ended up using coolers and getting ice locally everyday. A fridge would fit nicely in your mud room. Also, as I said we brought lots of food, there was no cupboard space for any of the stuff we brought. Needed to leave in bags, on countertops, or in the mud room. But it all worked out. We all enjoyed your hospitality! Thanks for another wonderful vacation with the family.

Since 2020, our family has gathered on a yearly basis for a family vacation. In 2020, my husband was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia and thus, these family vacations are bittersweet. This is by far our best family vacation. Our stay at this beautiful property was just amazing! Words cannot describe it. The openness and layout of the home is inviting. There was more than enough room to accommodate our family of adult children and grandchildren. The property is secluded and private. We saw a bald eagle and many deer during our stay. The lawn is magnificent and perfect for a game of whiffle ball or a water balloon fight. The dock was great for the grandkids to try some fishing and my son and son-in -law to try “their hand in catching some crabs”. The tower on the top floor offered magnificent views of the area and a must do is to watch the sunset from the tower. There is quite the mosquito population, so lots and lots of bug repellant and “after bite” cream/spray is a necessity. The only downside is the beach area. We found many, many jellyfish (we are from New England and not familiar with this problem), we did find “ a work around” of swimming during those times of the day when the jelly fish are not present. Water shoes are also highly recommended, especially for little one as the beach/water bottom is quite rocky with broken shells

Heaven on the Shore
We booked this property for a group of 10 for a summer fishing trip. Plenty of space, the property is spectacular, secluded, private and amazing. Plenty of space at the dock for the (2) 25' center consoles. Highly recommend

Secluded serenity
Beautiful well designed home with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and gathering spaces. Property is stunning. We went on walks, fished, floated on tubes and hung out in beach cove. Loved every aspect.
House is secluded and jus what we were looking for. Seamless transaction. Everything listed was available and easy to find.
There is not much shade on backyard, dock or beach. We bought a couple beach umbrellas and that worked well.

We feel so fortunate to have stayed at this beautiful countryside/waterfront estate to share our wedding with our children, spouses, significant others and grandchildren. Everything about the place was perfect. We were amazed at how well stocked the house is (EVERYTHING you might need is available), how it easily accommodates large groups in a variety of areas, how private and spacious the bedrooms and bathrooms are, and how beautiful the setting along the Chesapeake Bay. Laurie, the owner, was available and accommodating at all times, the grounds were nicely manicured, and we wanted for nothing. Grandkids caught a few fish, we had lots of space for kite flying, and ample room to play outdoors. We had planned to have our wedding ceremony outside, but the weekend happened to be very windy, so we moved inside into the large upstairs tower with 360 degree views of water and greenery -- a perfect spot for the vows and photos, with ample room for the family.

Great Family Vacation House
We stayed at this property with extended family including a toddler and two babies. Having the beach close by was great. The house was huge and has plenty of space for everyone. Everything is clearly labeled and the kitchen has everything you could need. We saw deer, turkeys and bald eagles on the property! There is not a close grocery store so make sure you stock up before getting to the house.

The house was clean and spacious. It has a beautiful, large kitchen. All bedrooms have single beds, except the master bedroom. Next to the kitchen is this great eating area with 180 degrees view of the backyard and water view. Also next to the kitchen is this spacious family room, however, we wish the TV could be larger. We spent very little time outdoor, because there were a lot of mosquitos. We wish we had known about the mosquito situation, because we wanted to spend time outdoors. It was very nice to see a nesting pair of American bald eagles on the property.

Family vacation, beautiful accommodations, perfect Covid getaway
Booked 12/20 when we were unsure of how safe it would be to travel during summer of ‘21. Remote setting, plenty of room to play and explore, surrounded by water on 3 sides, kayaks , fishing/crabbing, and beautiful accommodations made it perfect choice for extended family to vacation together. House is gorgeous, fully stocked kitchen, best we’ve ever experienced. Shopping and restaurants minimal unless you’re willing to drive 20 miles, but we’re an eat-in family for the most part, so no problem for us. Great small seafood bar and restaurant close by open Fri- Sun. It’s a birders paradise, cormorants, egrets, blue herons, and eagles are all around. Hosts very responsive to questions and requests during stay, WiFi spotty, but if you’re looking to get away from it all, perfect place.

We have rented homes from Key West to the Adirondacks. This home ranks at the top. The kitchen was amazingly well appointed. If you needed a pot, a spice, or a sharp knife, it was there. The grill was hooked up to a large propane tank so no worry about running out of fuel. The house and grounds gave all 11 of us plenty of room to play, relax, rest and enjoy the incredible views. We caught some amazing crabs off the dock and enjoyed both beaches. We loved the experience. Emily‘s produce is a terrific place for veggies etc. but the ice cream is to die for. Woolford General store which was very close allowed us to replenish paper towels toilet paper and bar soap. A special kudos shout out to Laurie. Super host! Thank you

Last year we visited for 2 weeks and this year we were there for almost 3 weeks. The home and property are incredible. A true Chesapeake Experience. And Laurie was incredible from the minute we started booking the trip until we left. Plenty of personal touches. We truly appreciate Laurie and her family for sharing such an incredible place with us. This trip has become a tradition for our family and friends.

Nature lovers paradise!
We spent a wonderful week with 3 generations of our family. This house has it all, with space for everyone whether it’s hanging out together or spending time in solitude. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly want with enough elbow room for multiple cooks to work together. We came well prepared with ingredients for our meals since the closest big grocery store is 1/2 hour away. That said, there was flour, sugar and spices already stocked in the kitchen. Uniquely situated, this property has amazing views of sunrises and sunsets. We spent our days kayaking, fishing and exploring the property. We saw eagles, herons, egrets, terns, turtles, crabs, an eel and a variety of frogs. One evening we got steamed crabs from Lindy’s seafood at 1/2 the price we would pay in town and fresh produce from Emily’s, both conveniently located just off the island. I can’t say enough good things about this property and the owners. Laurie was super responsive to my communications with her during the week. If you love nature and really want to unplug and get away, this is the place for you. Can’t wait to come back next year!!!

Family Vacation
Our family got together to spend some precious quality time together. The property was perfect, the kitchen and dining area is beyond fantastic! Everything you could possibly need is supplied and in great shape. We were able to launch a boat at the boat ramp down the road and docked at the property. Also had a local charter boat come right to the dock and take us out for a day of fishing (HIGHLY recommend Brandon @salttailcharters) what a awesome guy! Only negative is a couple of the twin beds could use better mattresses other than that everything was GREAT!! Thanks Laurie

Wonderful secluded retreat
We had a wonderful time at Holland Point on Taylor's Island. The inside of the home exceeded our expectations! We loved the huge family room and dining area as well as hanging out on the turret. The kids loved crabbing and fishing from the dock and exploring the land. We would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Beautiful Nature
The house was lovely and as advertised. Laurie was very communicative and it was easy check in and out. But beyond the walls of the home is the real experience. Surrounded on three sides by water it is a natural beauty. And nice and quiet too. We saw a pair of eagles, osprey, grey heron, hummingbird, cardinal, lots of geese, cormorant, box turtle and more. Plus an amazing lightning storm rolling over the land into the bay -- with awesome vantage point in the watch tower. Followed then by an amazing full rainbow. Sun rise was gorgeous too. All in all a very nice visit.

Vacay in nature preserve
3 generations had fabulous time in a beautiful hunting lodge mansion. We kayaked in the bay discovering small islands for kids to explore, had outdoor games tournament on expansive lawn by the water and lived watching kids play on sand beach and explore for oysters. The house was beautifully decorated and the 3rd floor observation room gave 360 degree views. Really felt like a Maryland get away. Thank you

Once again, we had a wonderful stay! There is so much to do for all ages including kayaking, fishing, biking, and hiking just to name a few. Finished off that day with awesome dinners with a table large enough for the whole family and game nights in the tower.

Bachelor Party
This is one of those properties you have to see to really appreciate, but let me describe a few of the things that stand out. The privacy can't be beat, and not because its isolated in the middle of nowhere, there is so much water front that you feel in the mix and wide open, there is just so much land around you between you and your nearest neighbors that you really feel like you own the whole island. The second thing that stands out is how flat and open the yard is its perfect for yard games, including football, wiffle ball, or cornhole. The house exceeded our expectations. The main room and the kitchen are very big and well equipped. there is lots of seating and the lookout tower is so unique and fun. While there isn't a grocery store near by (30 mins) there are stores for beer, ice, food/general supplies. There is a county inlet very near that is open 24 hours and is free with a big parking lot, so bring your boat. The dock is wonderful and super relaxing. Everyone of us loved the place and would recommend to others looking to get away for a big group party time.

Thanksgiving at Taylor's Island
The house and the setting are both wonderful. Watching the sunset from the tower was a great way to gather before dinner.
The kitchen was completely stocked with everything a cook could need. Everyone in our party, from 5 to 78 had a terrific time. We are sure that Holland Point is lovely other times of the year but it was particularly perfect for Thanksgiving.

Fantastic Family weekend
Everything about our stay at Holland Point was awesome! The owners were very responsive to silly questions before our stay. The home is even nicer than the pictures portray and I have never stayed in a place that was any better stocked for anything you might need to cook for a crew or prepare a gourmet meal. Having stayed other places we took our own paper products, trash bags etc. None of these were needed. We made use of the 2 kayaks and did a bit of fishing too. Our family likes to play games so we brought our own indoor and outdoor games......again, not needed! Honestly, pack a bag, your food and beverages and the rest is there! We played games in the yard, enjoyed the screened porch, had cocktails on the front porch and played Bocce Ball, ate crabs on the the back patio and had s'mores over our portable fire-pit. To say the least, it is an excellent place for almost any occasion! Thank you for a great stay!
