Had a great visit. The house was very comfortable for our little kids. Everything we needed to make meals and go to the beach. Just wish the outlets had covers (we ended up covering them ourselves). Bring a semi wide gate for the stairs if you have little kids/babies. We will definitely visit again!!

The seahorse was the perfect spot for our stint in Santa Cruz. Our first time there the house was steps to the beach, volleyball courts, and restaurants. The house was very clean, could hear the crashing waves, and appointed with beach chairs and boogie boards too. We can’t wait to come back!

We rented this house in June 2021 and loved it so much we returned to ring in 2023. There were 6 of us in our party and the house comfortably accommodated all of us with plenty of space. You can’t beat the location of this home. Only steps from the beach and able to hear the waves crashing at night when falling asleep. The kitchen is fully outfitted for making family dinners, decor is on point, and the patio in the front is perfect for watching the waves.

This property really is awesome. The location is steps from the ocean, has a great patio in front with a view of the ocean and the entire upper level of the home has varying views of the beach. The bedrooms are all large and comfortable. There is plenty of space for everyone to eat and hang out. The furniture is comfortable and the television in the living room is enormous. The kitchen is decently-sized and has everything you need to make meals with your family and the back patio has a nice grill. The owner is incredible communicative and helpful. The location is also excellent, steps from the beach and a short walk from a couple restaurants. It's a short walk from a lighthouse, several other scenic beaches and about a 20-25 minute walk from the boardwalk and wharf. Lastly the property has all of the fine details covered....the linens are high quality and comfortable and the entire place is very clean. The artwork and entire beach feel of the interior is well done as well.

Owner was very communicative. The property has great views of the beach and the ocean. If your group likes to walk, making it to the lighthouse is a good goal. Property is a block from the beach and a block from the fire pits on the beach, which is the only place you can have fires on the beach. Overall great property and great location. Property is very spacious inside and out. Between the beach and on-site seating there are plenty of spaces to gather with your group and just hang out. Including the fire pit in the back… s’mores.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, this is one of the best rentals you can find in Santa Cruz. Two houses away from the beach, walking distance to Crows Nest and Johnnys Harborside (which has amazing fresh catch of the day fish), clean and tastefully decorated. The hosts are on top of it and communication is a breeze. Looking forward to our trip back next year!

Awesome location
Loved the house! SO close to the beach with lifeguards on duty. Felt very safe! Easy walking distance to shops and the beach. My only complaint was that the floors were very dusty making walking barefoot nasty. Some of the dishes were dirty and we found old candy wrappers under the bed. They need a better cleaning staff. Bring your own spices and cooking oil. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Boardwalk and the Beach
My family and I have stayed at this home in early July for three years. Now my teenage grandsons walk by themselves to the Boardwalk and then join the family at the beach in the afternoon. We all enjoy the nearby restaurants and views from the front porch and upstairs living area.

Perfect Everything
My family rented this house for a quick summer getaway. There were six of us, ages 15 - 43. This home is located in an amazing spot, steps from the beach, beach views from every upstairs window. The decor and furniture was pretty, comfortable, and plenty for everyone. Beds were comfy, the multi bed room was perfect for our son and his friend, lots of space. I enjoyed having a glass of wine every evening on the front patio while watching the waves roll in. We cooked dinner every night and kitchen is super functional with everything you need. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Just okay
The location was wonderful! The house was cute and clean with all kitchen amenities needed. The check in process was not good. We were never was given the front door combo to enter and had to repeatedly ask for it after arrival. The owner finally sent it hours after check in time. There were 3 TV's, but no stations available, not even local news. When calling the owner to ask for help, he was not helpful at all and was annoyed we called. He told us, "it states it in the contract you need your own passwords." We figured out how to get on Roku ourselves. Also, it doesn't state it in the contract, but the owners posted signs in the property stating that there would be a $50 additional cleaning fee if we didn't wash all of the towels, washcloths, and sheets before checkout. Bring your own washcloths as the ones provided were very used. The house was nice and close to the beach and Crow's Nest restaurant. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Beautiful home and location for a nice family weekend.
We had a great time at this home. All kinds of room and space for our adults and teenagers. A few steps from the ocean and beach. We were able to fall asleep to the sounds of waves each night. We had a BBQ, watched movies on the giant TV and walked on the beach. Perfect place to get away and relax.

BEST Location
Rented this gem for a birthday weekend for a 17 year old and 3 of her friends (with two adults). First, it had plenty of room for 6 of us and could comfortably accommodate a few more. The location is unreal, the beach is less than 100 yards away and the girls had the best time being able to just walk down to the sand and lay out all day.
It’s perfect for entertaining and just relaxing on the front or back patio. Beds/furniture are comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked and ready for making meals and the bathrooms are clean and well appointed. I can’t say enough good things about the house, the hosts are doing it right.

Open and airy house right by the beach and yacht harbor.
Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The house is updated and clean inside and out, and the location can't be beat. Upstairs, where the kitchen and living room are, there are tons of windows overlooking the water. We enjoyed eating family meals out in the cozy fenced backyard and being able to walk to the beach and several popular restaurants. Brian is kind and accommodating and made sure we had whatever we needed.

Amazing house, terrific hosts!
We spent 9 fabulous days enjoying the views and the constant sound of waves. Brian is a wonderful host, great at communicating, which was especially Important in Summer 2020. He was very flexible with us, allowing us to change our original booking to later dates as we had to work around covid lodging closures. The house is super welcoming and comfy, we felt completely at home. We can’t wait to rent it again. ❤️
