We had a great time at Seagrapes. The whole stay was smooth starting from booking, through getting all the information before we landed there. The places is awesome, private, easy access to the water. Great sunsets and star gazing in the nights. A safe place. Great home good food from Meloine. Got a lot of snorkeling gear from Bertrand. The great place to stay and relax. Walking distance to Ricks Cafe for Cliff diving.
Overall, a great place to stay and high recommend.

Loved it, we’ll definitely be back! Everybody on the property was fantastic and food from Melonie and in the surrounding area was amazing. Snorkeling was great and place was very private and relaxing. Would recommend one of the two smaller ones for the best views of the ocean.

Great alternative to a hotel or resort stay in Negril
We had two wonderful weeks in Wild Grape, one of three "villas" on this lovely tropical property on Negril's West End Road. Our villa is the closest of the three to the ocean and we had breakfast every day outside in the shade of a roof extension overlooking the water. Wild Grape is exactly as described online with two bedrooms...one large and one smaller; a nice kitchen and living room.
Each room is lovely with wooden ceilings and fans and both bedrooms have air conditioners...which we used most night to cool the room a bit and then turned off for the rest of the night.
Staff at Sea Grape are truly wonderful: Bentley who greets you most times at the gate and tends the garden, Omar who prepares the included breakfasts and other meals if you wish; and Christine and Lana who change linens, clear the villas and otherwise make your stay comfortable.
We had a few early problems with the Internet (due to problems on the road, not Sea Grape) but for the most part the WiFi was fast and excellent. There is a flat screen TV in the living room, but none in either bedroom...fine with us! A decent selection of channels such as CNN and major U.S. and Canadian channels. But really...who needs or wants much TV when you are on vacation!
Each of the three villas is quite separate...visually and by the pathways to the oceanside resting areas, so you feel very private here.
We recommend Sea Grape enthusiastically. The owners, Marc and Margot, are very responsive to any questions you might have..and advance or when you are in Negril.

Great Family Vacation!
My wife, teenage stepdaughter and I had an outstanding time and about a relaxing experience as could happen. Juicy, Bentley & Christine were wonderful hosts and took care of our needs, and the outdoor show with the master bedroom was a daily joy 😄 We can't wait to go back!

Sea Grape
When a friend of mine invited me to stay with her for a week last year at the Sea Grape Villa, I knew this would be the perfect place to bring my husband for a vacation. And indeed, not only did my husband and I have a lovely week this month, we already booked the same week for next year! We love the natural beauty of the property along with its privacy. The views of the Caribbean from our villa, patio and cliff's edge are stunning. It is a swimmer's paradise (my husband swam 3 times a day) and the outdoor showers are wonderful. I know there are good restaurants in the area, but we did not feel the urge to have dinner anywhere other than the villa as Juicy is a terrific cook and the view of the sunset over the water can not be beat. Bentley keeps the grounds looking beautiful and Christine freshens up the comfortable rooms nicely, along with the vases of gorgeous bougainvillea and other local flowers. Marc arranged our airport transportation with Donovan who is a very reliable driver. I enjoyed a few visits to Ras Rody across the way for lunch and a chat with the cooks. We also bought supplies from two nearby markets and a local fruit stand and especially savored the tomatoes and pineapple. Activities could have been arranged easily, but for us, a week at Sea Grape is best spent soaking up what is right there. I look forward to our return!

Sea Grape Cottage
I just love Sea Grape Villas! We are partial to Sea Grape Cottage we have stayed there three times now. We have stayed at the other two villas but always come back to this one. The master bedroom is very nice and the bed is comfortable! I LOVE the outdoor showers! Everyone I have come in contact with is so very accommodating. From the time you make the reservation with Marc to Donovan picking us up at the airport, from Juicy always cooking our first meal the day we get in, Bentley for taking care of our stuff that we leave down on the cliffs because it is going to rain and Christine making sure that the place is tidy everyday! No TV needed. We enjoy sitting outside playing games and just relaxing in the hammock or down on the cliffs. To say that we love this place is an understatement! I cannot wait to see Blackie and Lucky on our trip that is coming up April 2016! We have had friends join us over the years and like it so much that they have booked as soon as they get back. My husband and I are now staying for two weeks so the we can be with all of them who by the way have rented out the rest of the villas! Boats come by daily and although we use a certain one, we go to the beach or snorkeling. Always something to do. We hit up Erica's for a couple of meals, gotta have their Conch Soup or Stew. My husband has been going there to eat since 1983. Although Erica is gone her son and daughter in law have taken over and will treat you right! To sum it up, If you are looking for a very relaxing slow paced vacation spot, this is the place for you!

No. Not for us
The snorkel area has nothing to look at. Two small fish in a half hour. The ladder back up is treacherous and requires a fair amount of strength to pull up. If you are young college students you are good. Not so much out of shape middle aged ladies with a low center of gravity.
Maids were lazy. The laundry basket is where you put clothes to be washed...twice in a week it was done and I left with damp clothes. You'd think wash clothes are automatic. No. You have to ask for them. Every day...and the maids aren't there all the time. Why should you need to ask?
It's in the info sent that you are expected to tip. My husband did, but grudgingly. They didn't even wipe the mirrors in a week's time. We are crazy neat...they weren't picking up after slobs and only have three cabins to look after. Bath at was filthy.
Note at the owner is too cheap to screen the living room. After a long day of events if you want to cook or watch the sunset or tv after your shower, these are your choices: hide in the screened bedroom, slather more stinky bug repellent ALL OVER YOUR BODY (yes, I put it on myself where not covered by clothes. I have over forty bug bites on my trunk.), or get bitten. And the sea grape cottage has a nasty old waterbed with foam and a dirty blanket, NOT the sofa shown on the other cottage picture!
Totally disappointing. If you are young college kids who don't know better, this is fine. But the lady I was talking to who stayed in the other cottage described it perfectly when she called it "rough." She and I agreed it would not be a place we'd recommend to friends.
This could be a great place with a little diligence. The kitchen is poorly stocked. The property is not well managed. Dogs barked and waked us up twice. The lady in the other cottage said she had to wear ear plugs to sleep.
If you are going to party, smoke weed, and don't care about much else, you will be satisfied. Otherwise, not so much.

Paradise
I hesitate to write this review as I want to keep this gem to myself. We rented Big Grape and Sea Grape for our wedding with some friends/family and couldn't have had a better time. The owner, Marc, was responsive to every email I wrote him in advance while trying to plan. Juicy, Bentley, and Christine were always accommodating to our every need. Marc gave us great info on the surrounding area before our arrival which was a tremendous help. We left to a different area of the island for our last few days on the island for a quick honeymoon and the entire time we wished we were back at sea grape. It was a clean and upkept property with comfortable beds and everything we needed. It's nice to have the market across the street for unplanned needs. We never had a problem hailing a taxi- don't rent a car! Marc's recommended driver, Donnovan, was great! Use him for any long excursions you have planned or for your airport pickup/drop offs. We went to luminous lagoon/glistening waters- it was an incredible experience that we would highly recommend to anyone going to Jamaica! We've been home for 2 weeks and I still wish I was back at sea grape. Can't wait until we can return!

My wife and I recently returned from our second stay at Sea Grape in Negril this time with our daughter. It was truly an amazing experience and two weeks later our daughter continues to talk about her trip to Jamaica. We stayed in the Sea Grape villa that overlooks the cliffs and beautiful Caribbean. The view and atmosphere is so serene we can definitely understand why Bob Marley once stayed there. From our morning hunts for hermit crabs to our daily swims in the cove by the cliffs (where one morning dolphins passed by just 50 feet out past where we were swimming) to the amazing sunset dinners on the porch with Juicy's delicious meals you could not ask for a more incredible vacation. The property staff of Juicy (chef), Christine (housekeeping) and Bentley (grounds keeper) were all kind and greatly appreciated. They give you the privacy to enjoy your trip but are there whenever you need them. The property itself is private and feels secluded even though you can easily walk to plenty of restaurants and bars like Rick's in the immediate vicinity if you choose to wander about. Additionally it is an easy cab ride down to the seven mile beach area if you want a change of scenery (you definitely don't need one though).Sea Grape is amazing place that will continue to be part of our lives for years to come.

Engraved in my memories forever
Armed with my fancy Nikon and two friends I came to celebrate my 40th birthday. What I didn't know is I would spend my evenings starring...awed by the sunset that my 64gb memory came back home barely used. My friends and I had never vacationed together. Seagrape delivered the ultimate comfort that we all were at ease. Well mannered and efficient staff. Clean accomodation. Well manicured gardens privacy from other villas. The private cliff access to the sea made you feel like you were in a millionaire beach mansion in Malindi. We were graced by Dolphins about 100 feet from our cliff. There were maps and directions to remove any rum induced fog. Walking distance to the Rick's cafe and short drive to the 7mile beach...if you find it in you to leave the residence. There were a few rainy days.....all 15 mins of it were welcome to calm down the heat for the evening. Juicy was timely with his meals as requested and cook he can. Thank you for the fresh flower arrangements in each room.....something about the bougainvallea. Only regret is that we did not stay longer. A definate must do again vacation and am bringing my family along this time.

Authentic, Romantic and Stunning
My husband, 2 duaghters under the age of 7 and myself enjoyed a relaxing stay at Sea Grape Villas. Our family had some very special family time, with heavenly sunsets, amazing meals in a well maintained and clean accomodations. We did everything from swimming in the ocean, hike by the waterfalls, and enjoying the local flavor....Juicy's delicous jerk chicken. I highly recommend Sea Grape Villas as the ultimate relaxing holiday! Thanks Marc and Lynn for helping us create these memories.

Can't wait until my return!!
This past December, my boyfriend and I stayed at Sea Grape for just under a week. I had been to Negril numerous times before but had never stayed at Sea Grape. We arrived just as the sun was setting over the clear horizon, and bid adieu to the cloudless day with two dolphins jumping in the middle of our picturesque view. From then on, it was a trip to remember, with plenty of privacy, perfect swimming and delicious home cooked Jamaican fare.
