Welcome from the host. Early check in and the food. The afternoon tea was tasty and they catered for my little foibles
The mattress was too soft for me.

Location was wonderful, large rooms.
Garden bar in the sunshine
No hot water, large room small lumpy bed. Breakfast was very average for price, the buffet part was pathetic. Poor coffee.
Staff apologetic/nice but didn’t not resolve issues- understaffed.

Old building very central to the town . Lovely bar and restaurant attached to the property.
Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely building with history, good food and excellent location. Very nice room with comfortable bed. Staff were welcoming in general and Andrew was outstanding .
A minor issue was reception and check out were a bit haphazard. Bill was itemised wrongly. Did not spoil our enjoyment

Great location, old historic building.
Bedroom could have been cleaner. Breakfast took over an hour to be served. The guy serving breakfast did his best but he was the only one working and was rushed off his feet.

Beautiful location though and helpful staff.
No parking. So continually monitoring times for parking meter. Very annoying and would not do again. Still managed to get a parking ticket!

The food at the local restaurant was absolutely delicious!!!

The hotel had easy parking, (not free, it was £7.60 for 24 hours) and the hotel had a lovely view overlooking the water. The food was beautiful and my dessert was the best Creme Brulee I've ever eaten and I travel all over Europe for work.
Special thanks to the server/ waitress Renae (not sure that's the correct spelling) who was polite, chatty and confident. She really will go places in her future!
Also special thanks to a male who I didn't get his name, he was wearing a green jumper on Tuesday 9th Jan, he showed me to my room, helped with the bags etc and he had the most incredible manners, I've never encountered such manners in a person. It really makes him stand out. (Profile name for the company is Dean but i'm actually Amy)
It was a bit chilly in the dining room but this was only a minor niggle and I'm sure if I had mentioned it someone would have given me an alternative table so its not a complaint to the hotel as I never mentioned it.

Historic, great location and breakfast. Susan was the perfect host!.

The setting, location and restoration of this historical building are fabulous.
The staff were warm and welcoming with nothing being too much trouble.
Would highly recommend dining in. Dinner and breakfast were great with good selection to choose from.
There is no free parking with the building due to its location however, there are plenty of metered spaces immediately outside and a long stay car park a couple of minutes walk away.

Delicious breakfast in a charming room.

Staff were very friendly, excellent breakfast, bed comfy, great location.
Works needs doing in the bathroom.
Taps were broken in bathroom but still worked. Smell from the sink plug.
Tiles loose behind the toilet.
Door stop came off the wall.
Shower pressure wasn’t great.
Light bulb out.

beautiful architecture, major heritage to it, amazing historical surroundings.
very underrated town in these days
probably the high wall in the garden which stops you from seeing the river, even though I was inside..

The whole stay was very pleasant. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, including breakfast and evening meal with good choices. We decided to eat there on both nights. We had a lovely room overlooking the river with an amazing sunset
Car parking was an issue as none on site, we had to park about 10 minutes walk away

Very good location.

A very nice hotel in an excellent location right by the river. Very convenient for exploring around the town. Very nice room, kept very clean by the hotel cleaning team. Excellent breakfast options and a very good evening meal. Parking was offsite as very time limited around the hotel but the reception staff were very helpful with best options and costs and only 5 minutes walk away.
Nothing really a very pleasant hotel to stay at to explore Kings Lynn.
4.5
Very quiet location close to the quay, but a ten-minute walk from a public car park, although there is a drop-off point and this is mentioned on the website.
Freezing cold on the first night, but then the heating was turned on. Dinner variable: sea bass excellent but chicken supreme was ordinary. Check-our experience was terrible; an inexperienced Duty Manager could not find our pre-payment and I was made to feel like I was defrauding the hotel. Did receive an apology a couple of days later with a suggestion that some compensation might be appropriate, but then heard nothing further.
