Our family of 13 had a wonderful experience at the Montgomery Inn. Great access to beach and a large property for family games. Very historical with connections to LM Montgomery. Paul M was a great host. Always available to answer questions and chat.

Everything in the description of the property is exact, plus you find some pleasant surprises when you get there: the walk to the beach provides you with some of the most beautiful scenery of the island. The area (Park Corner, French River ) is one of the most beautiful part of P.E.I. yet less crowded than the most popular beach areas and close enough to the stores (Kensington/Summerside)
Paul was there to welcome us personnally and was very responsive to any specific needs we might have had.
All in all a wonderful two weeks , would recommend anytime.

Everyone agreed the Montgomery Inn was an ideal place to stay- we walked to the beach and drove to sites around the island interchangably and had a perfect week. The scenery around this spot cannot be beat anywhere else on the island.

Paul was an excellent host, although I never got to meet him as I arrived after my group and ended having to leave early, he was around and available to the group when needed! He also thought of all the little details to make our stay seamless. Thanks so much for a great stay! Excellent space for a large group.

Cannot imagine a nicer place to visit, or a better location to stay at. Paul is a great host and ensures that all the little details of this historic home have been thought of and looked after.
Beautiful views of the surrounding area and a short walk to the beach are just a couple of the perks in staying at this home.
Whether you are on a site seeing vacation or a golf vacation this is the place to stay.
Thanks to Paul and Michelle for a memorable vacation of a life time.

I think there is no higher compliment I can give than that I have never been at a place for two days and never had to call the host even a single time! All the amenities and facilities described in the ad were available and the location is just perfect for a quiet get together with family/friends away from all the noise. There is a beach nearby where you can have a fire and camp at night. A field for a game if you will! Almost all rooms have attached washrooms and TVs. The historic significance is an added attraction. The host was wonderful and very polite.
Suggestion: Lights near the barbecue grill on the patio.
Add a pool/jacuzzi to attract potential visitors.

We were pleasantly surprised by just how grand the Montgomery Inn was! There was plenty of space for our extended family to stay and enjoy our time together. The set up was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The property is within walking distance to a gorgeous and private beach and is a short drive from the attractions in cavendish and surrounding areas. We had a wonderful weekend and will be sure to return in the future

Our family, from the western U.S. and Scandinavia, met for a special week in The Maritimes. The time spent at this beautiful, interesting inn was one of the great highlights. Our group of 12 enjoyed special meals at the great table that accommodated us perfectly, slept well in the comfortable rooms, laughed and sang, explored the area, swam at the nearby beach, and thoroughly enjoyed it all! Thank you, again.

The Montgomery Inn at Ingleside is a great place to visit! It was the home of one of the first Senators of PEI, who was also Lucy Maud Montgomery's grandfather. You can see (and sleep in) the room where Lucy Maud stayed when she visited, and you can see features that were described in the "Anne of Green Gables" series of books. The location is great too: across the street from the Green Gables museum, close to the "Lake of Shining Waters" and a ten minute walk to the beach (you can also drive to the beach). But best of all are the hosts, Paul and Michelle Montgomery and Denise, who tends the grounds. Paul made sure we were comfortable and knew where everything is without being at all intrusive, and Denice directed us to nearby points of interest (eg, Teacup Rock). We had a great time!

This place is perfect for anybody but really great for families! With 11 Adults and 6 Children (Ages 1 to 6), our family fully utilized the 7 bedrooms and 6 and half bathrooms. Paul and his wife have retained the historic charm of Senator Montgomery's home but have completely refurbished with updated higher-end appliances, (including large capacity washer & dryer), ensuites and bedroom furniture. When we got there Saturday July 8, Paul was installing a baby gate at the top of the back staircase..so thoughtful! The kitchen is fully equipped with more than enough cutlery and dishes for a small army. We wanted for nothing - except a few beach toys for the little ones - which we left behind for all to enjoy. We were a ten minute drive from Kensington and 20 mins from Summerside. Also Thunder Cove Beach (Tea Cup Rock), Cabot Beach Park, Cousins Road Beach all were within a ten to twelve minute drive from the house. We were a 40 min drive from Charlottetown...worth the drive even if just for scenery! New Glasgow Lobster Supper was only 20 mins away! Sitting on the large deck out back we could hear the waves! So peaceful and very safe for little ones to play in the large well manicured lawn. Couldn't have picked a better spot for a wonderful family vacation! Thank you Paul!
