Ground Floor: Living room: With open fire, wood burner, 55" Freeview curved TV, Blu-ray player, beams, wooden floor and 2 sets of French doors leading to the garden. Dining room: With wood burner and slate floor. Kitchen/breakfast room: Farmhouse style with electric range, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher, seating area, slate floor and French doors leading to the patio. Step down to... Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, wooden floor and 2 steps up to en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and slate floor. First Floor: Wooden floor throughout. Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed leading to dressing room with single bed (for child), pull-out single bed (for child), wall cupboard with washing machine and tumble dryer, French doors leading to decking, and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 3: With kingsize bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 4: With twin beds. Bedroom 5: With twin beds. Bathroom: With free standing bath, shower attachment, shower cubicle, shower seat and toilet. Located across from the main house, and above the garage. Littlepool: Steps to entrance. Hallway. Travel cot and highchair. Large lawned garden with garden furniture. 6-acre natural and landscaped woodland. Hot tub (private, available Apr-Sep). Ample private parking. Electric vehicle charging point (at cost). No smoking.. Slowpool is a detached period property which has been extended to provide spacious accommodation for a large family or friends - who want to holiday together or have a special occasion to celebrate. It occupies a very rural setting at the end of a track in a 6-acre wood, 3 miles south of Honiton. The wood is a haven for wildlife with regular sighting of badgers, deer and an abundance of birds. There is a network of footpaths in the woods for guests to use at their leisure. The coast of Sidmouth is a mere 20-minute drive. This is a superb house with total privacy; it has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and boasts two wood burners, together with many original features and even a hot tub. The ground floor bedroom and the kitchen/breakfast room both have a window seat looking out to the grounds. The kitchen also features granite worktops and a large island with stools. For walkers and bird-watchers, this really is the most suitable accommodation. There are so many walks to enjoy from the front door. Many activities are available in the area including golf, fishing, horse riding and sailing. There are also numerous National Trust properties - all within a short drive. Exmouth is close by and has a lovely 2-mile stretch of beach and was once home to the wives of Nelson and Byron respectively, whilst a bit further on lies the genteel town of Budleigh Salterton with its white-washed and thatched cottages which attracted such visitors as Noel Coward and PG Wodehouse. At Exeter, the South West Coastal Path Park is an ideal family day out. Exmoor National Park is also worth a visit, with its rugged landscape and ponies. Beach 2 miles. Shops and pubs 3 miles. Free WiFi The hot tub is cleaned and refreshed before the start of your stay. As the volume of water takes a while to heat up, please be aware that the hot tub (April-September) will not reach its optimum heating settings until the morning after your arrival. Please note, the chapel is not available to guests. Zappi EV chargers have been installed - please let the owner know if you intend to use the EV chargers as there will be an additional charge levied.

We are five friends who get together once a year for a week. We have stayed in various places and this is one of the best. The house is beautiful and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The garden was large and while we were there, the weather was perfect for sitting outside at the outdoor table and chairs. Everything was very clean with good quality bed linen, towels etc. There were many nice touches that made our stay very special. We would highly recommend it to a group of friends or a family.

This is such a stunning house and grounds. We booked as a big family event. 75th birthday. Excellent communication from the owner and manager meant we arrived without a hitch and so pleased to find Slowpool is everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in the countryside in beautiful woodland the house is amazing. Inside it was immaculate with a real home feel we felt relaxed almost immediately. The decor is so well thought out. Lovely and warm throughout plus the wood burner in the living room added a super cosy feel in the evenings. Lots to do and see in the area. Exeter Christmas market is a must do. A perfect stay and thank you

Great house, lovely gardens, peaceful and quiet.Everything was as anticipated and we had a wonderful holiday. One point to note is that as the week progressed there was no way of checking the ph levels in the hot tub or using chlorine tablets to refresh the water.Consequently, towards the end of the week the hot tub was unusable.

There were 11 of us age range 20 months to 63 and we all agreed that it was a beautiful house and the location was so peaceful with fantastic views. The beds were so cosy and comfortable. The lounge very spacious and room for all. We saw deer on the field and heard the owls. Superb place as a base for visiting surrounding area.

Great house for a family reunion and celebration - plenty of space and very comfortable. Amenities are very good and quiet and secluded location. Ideal for us as happy to drive to places - shops are about 15 minutes away. Many pleasant evenings spent outside catching up, playing games and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Large country home, close to the woods built into the hill side. More steps than we expected inside, could benefit from some smaller saucepans in kitchen and more cupboard space in bedrooms. No shops nearby, had to drive 15 mins or so into Honiton for any goods. Whilst access could be difficult if you are looking for somewhere away from it all this is the place for you.
