A most beautiful place to stay. Full of charm and character. Staff fabulous.

The location and the character. The staff were some of the nicest and most delightful I have ever met. And we have been to many different places in the world.

Our stay exceeded our expectations, dinner and the style of the room were wonderful.

The room was really lovely and had everything we could need. Very comfortable. The restaurant meal was exceptional.

A wonderful hotel to stay

A fantastic place to stay, very quaint and picturesque and quiet. Just perfect and lovely food.

I would have liked baked beans to be included with the full English breakfast.

Good location nice people very nice food and drink

Accommodation was very clean and tidy and well stocked tea and coffee, nice being slightly away from the pub Food was very good both dinner and breakfast

The service was very good and nice people only thing I would suggest to improve is the timings of the food in that our mains arrived to soon after our starter and likewise with breakfast cooked was served very quick after our cereals

Great style and comfort

Beautiful room, great breakfast and in-room coffee / tea facilities. A stylish and well thought through, romantic and a little quirky.

Bathroom is okish, could do with an update to meet the standards set in the other parts of the stay.

A great spot to stay.

An truely delightful and well equiped room with an excellent host. The evening meal was good and the breakfast was very good. Very good value for money and somewhere we would stay again if in the area.

Nothing within the control of the venue - chaotic diversions in the neighbouring Midhust - allow extra time if you plan to travel through Midburst to the venue

Lovely stay with an amazing breakfast

Lovely rooms and an amazing breakfast.

Pillows were a bit too soft for me but that’s personal preference other than that it was lovely.

A quiet and welcoming inn with comfortable accommodation and pleasant but limited food options.

Very quiet rural situation, convenient for Petworth, Midhurst and surrounding areas. Friendly, informal atmosphere. Welcoming staff .

Although room was comfortable, it had limited comfortable seating and no desk or table. The room lighting was poor as it was not possible to make it very bright.

Staff very friendly - food the worst ever - Room overpriced and average at best

Breakfast was okay. The dinner was the worst meal we have ever had - both mains and starters were borderline inedible

The room was freezing when we arrived - had to ask for a heater - took 2hrs to warm up. Bathroom basic - room ok but not worth the money

Great find

Only found this great place as we were planning a trip to Petworth and Amberley. Couldn't get in previous accommodation that we had used and glad now that we didn't. Lovely rooms, exceptionally friendly staff and food in restaurant was excellent although possibly a little pricey.

Didn't sleep well but that's nothing unusual for me

Lovely country pub getaway

Lovely little country pub ,great staff friendly and welcoming, the food was fantastic the open fire was a real plus as it was -1 the day we went . The bedroom was a great size with very comfortable bed lovely , great corner bath as well definitely will be going again thank you

Only think I didn't like was the sticky toffee pudding I had for dessert was served cold and had a slight elderflower taste to sauce but that's all I can say I don't like sorry
