The evening meal was outstanding.
The bed was extremely comfortable
Breakfast was a little disappointing with staff not even asking what how I wanted my full English.
The executive rooms were similar to a Premier Inn but a lot more expensive.

What a suprise! Warmly greeted on arrival, our room was huge with a large ensuite and patio doors leading to the carpark at the rear.
The food in the in house restaurant was amazing, i had the suet crust game pie, my wife had the 24 hour slow cooked braised brisket, it was so good and the portions were not small!!
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Beamish area

Location is good fabulous staff excellent food both the evening meal and breakfast.
Only one small comment and that would be that the room could do with better ventilation or airflow as all the windows steamed up and a very slight musty smell but it would not put me off coming back again

The property is an ideal base for Beamish Museum. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, the bathroom was spacious and towels were changed daily if required
We had a faulty door handle and we were asked whether we wanted to move rooms or maintenance to sort it we chose the latter and it was dealt with when we returned later that day
The restaurant area is well set out and the food was very nice good portion sizes nicely presented
The bar / lounge area was comfortable to relax after a nice meal and a busy day
We also liked the fact that we had a parking space right outside our door which was most convenient
Nothing

Staff were very welcoming, amenable and enthusiastic, especially the breakfast server, Chris, who was keen to tell us about places to visit.
The breakfast was served hot with plenty of toast etc
The room was very nice with a comfortable large bed and warm.
Nothing to criticise except the wind....!!!

The hotel's configuration and the access via car park means that you can park your vehicle outside the room and have a large Sliding 'patio style' door for entry/exit which is highly convenient for anyone with heavy baggage or mobility issues.
The room we were in was very comfortable and impeccably prepared too, with easy access to the reception, bar and restaurants. Food and menus were superb with us opting to book dinner, which was a true delight,as was our cooked breakfast.
Nothing, wouldn't want to upset the perfect balance.Fo

Great breakfast. Location suited my needs but maybe remote for
some.
No signage to rooms, strange layout. Had to walk through wedding area to get to room. Rooms tired in places, shower screen loose, extract fan on bathroom almost blocked with fluff.

Lovely room and very comfortable bed, good shower and excellent breakfast.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The Lillys in the bar, only because they upset my asthma so I ran through the bar to go for breakfast.

Bit of a shambles. I’d booked an afternoon tea via the website - there was apparently a mix up as the app isn’t theirs and it hadn’t gone through. Ok but it was handled by a long argument about what I had or hadn’t done and was very frustrating
When I arrived, I was before check in. That’s fine, but reception just said I was early, made no attempt to check with housekeeping or see if there was a room ready, it was just no. I’d driven 350 miles I had to ask to be told where the ladies was.
Meal booking didn’t go right once.
Mix up on last morning, due to the Queen’s funeral, they put a note under the door the night before but didn’t actually tell guests that they’d changed the times for breakfast so again I was early.
Will not stay again.
Rooms are comfy, but think 80s motel - dark, dark reds and browns and no light

Everything about the hotel was very good.

Excellent room with extremely comfortable bed. Evening meal was very good Staff friendly and very helpful
Didn’t like walking through room set out for wedding. This felt intrusive.
Having no lift is a serious disadvantage and would put us off visiting again. We did not know about the lift situation when we booked

Drove 4.5 hours to get to the hotel, they cancelled my stay 45 mins before id arrived said my card was declined as they tried to take the money for the room ( but was pay on arrival and i hadnt arrived) they said they tried to phone me but hadnt. I was receiving calls all day. A lady who worked there was nice enough to escort us to another hotel ( that was far cheaper if id had booked as far in advance as i had this hotel) but it worked out similar price but had to get cabs to the venue of the wedding and back and it was alot further away.

Breakfast
Being able to park outside our room and also in inner corridor to get to the restaurant
If you did not like burgers or pizza, the choice for dinner was more limited

The Executive double room was clean and in good order. The bed comfortable. Plenty of hot water etc. Staff very friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
We were surprised that our room (3) had actually a parking space immediately in front of the room's external sliding glass door; very motel not hotel like. No photos nor description suggested this. We were given a key for the sliding door and a key for the interior door. Having unloaded our luggage from car to room, via the external sliding door, we exited into the main hotel straight into the wedding hall! The 'atrium' outside our room (and several others) goes straight into where a wedding had just been held. Fortunately the ceremony had finished. Apparently the area is permanently set up this way with white curtains that cover the bedroom doors for the wedding ceremony itself. None of this was 'offensive' nor seriously affected our stay but we just found it very odd.
