Excellent food. Very clean and excellent staff.
‘Superior room’ was tiny.

The decor inside the property is immaculate, stylish and luxe. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We will 100% be staying again. We received a room upgrade when we checked in which was a lovely touch and really made our stay.
There was a few marks on the walls but very minor and did not affect our stay.

The staff were lovely. Really helpful and friendly
The court yard rooms were a little bit noisy

When we arrived we were surprised to hear that we had been given a complimentary upgrade.
The room was lovely.
Fresh milk supplied in a flask to keep fresh.
The earplugs in the room were a nice touch as the hotel is on a well used main road. Although not needed as we slept well.
Plenty of parking on site.
We had our evening meal and breakfast. Both enjoyable.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We found the pillows to be a little hard for our liking, and it would have been useful to have had more accessible plug sockets in the room.

Everything! From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough to help us. The rooms have been refurbished to a really good standard. The evening meal and breakfasts were excellent 😃
Nothing all good

Jessica was great with breakfast in the mornings and did all she could to make sure we had everything we needed and gave help and directions to questions asked. The breakfasts were great. There was a good choice to cover every requirement and the setting was pleasant and clean.
Great hotel with wonderful staff, just a pity about the location on a major round about.

Nice rooms, clean and a good location.
The Beds were the most uncomfortable I’ve slept on for a long time - absolutely rock hard. Breakfast was slow and low quality - flabby bacon, rock hard black pudding, crusty mushroom.

This is the 2nd time have stayed at The Prince of Burford this year, this time we stayed in a signature room with out little French Bulldog Gigi. The room was very comfortable with lovely bedding and a wonderful bathroom with organic toiletries, lovely big shower too. Also another lovely touch was Gigi got a little hamper bowl with doggy body wash, treats, towel and a food bowl. The staff here are so friendly, professional and they always go that extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is amazing the Chef certainly knows what he is doing, we ate here both nights and the roast dinner was the best we have ever tasted and not forgetting the breakfast too. The Prince of Burford is within walking distance to the lovely high street. We will definitely be back again.
We loved everything

Only slight issue was going out even though short walkway was covered to bed room. Minor issue.

very nicely decorated and good location.
uncomfortable bed, two pillows like rocks.
breakfast was a bit of a mystery - had paid in advance, but the menu was slightly confusing. ended up paying extra for the pastries we ordered even though nobody said it would be extra. 🤷🏻♀️ + no cereals or toast or fruit etc.
booked for evening meal both nights, second night they had run out of most things.

Position of hotel, room.
Seemed to be short on staff.

comfortable rooms. but most of them small. usual facilities included.
The service needs huge improvement. meals forgotten, small potions. Had to ask for cutlery for our mains- should have been provided to start with or at least once they had our order. No egg on the breakfasts that are clearly included.

beautiful
No milk for tea making. Some tissues in the room would have been good.

The room was lovely cosy and a lovely place to sleep. Extra touches of sleep spray to put on the pillows and a cafetiere for coffee were great

A Beautiful boutique hotel situated only a 5 minute walk from the historic town of Burford.
The room was so classy with lovely little boutique touches such as the old fashined bottle of milk given at reception and the home made biscuits and old fashioned radio

Food for breakfast and dinner was very nice
Very poor communication. Me and my partner stayed away expecting a quiet night for new year in the Cotswold country pub. It was a dog friendly hotel which was perfect for us. A week leading up to our check in we tried numerous times throughout the day to request a early check in but never got through. On arrived around midday hoping of an early check in but was turned away. We tried again at 2:30 before we had to go out but had to wait until 3. This didn't start of things very well for us.
We were told after checking in at dinner that there was going to be evening entertainment, no start or finish time. Bare in mind we booked this place due to being pet friendly and expecting a quiet night in the Cotswolds. We were in the room right above the music which was incredible loud and so bassie. Our pet down was very unsettled which the hotel clearly knew we checked in with a dog above. We didn't want to cause a fuss however it came to 00:20 and the music was still going in full blast. I spoke to the manager on duty asking how much longer this was going to go on for. She replied with 00:30. 00:45am the music was still going, this time my partner who was very destressed went down and had a word (bare in mind I was told it was going to stop at 00:30). Finally at 1am the music finally stops.
We were extremely disappointment with the such poor communication from the pub on the enterainment side, while they well knew we had a dog. The check in process needs reviewing and someone just needs to be picking up the phone.....

The room was very nicely decorated but it was quite small & the pillows were very hard!

Excellent with a good choice of breakfasts. Staff all friendly and helpful, lovely locally sourced food served in the bar area.
Only sourdough bread for toast! A choice of breads would have been better. Bathroom had insufficient heating, and no need for books on the bedside tables!

The location was perfect - very close to the centre of Burford. The hotel was a very interesting old buildings. Staff were nice. It was a cheap offer so we got what we paid for I suppose. Hopefully they will have new mattresses in the refurb! We stayed September 2022.
The springs in the bed were lumpy and I woke with a painful hip. Bathroom mouldy - needed a few squirts of anti mould cleaner. Veggie breakfast was eggs or ONE croissant or ONE piece of toast! No proper veggie cooked full breakfast. No fruit or cereal available. I note they are closed for a refurb and will only offer free continental breakfast- hopefully will be a good range of food that doesn't leave guests hungry.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Cotswolds. The pub has great food and we had a wonderful breakfast. The staff was phenomenal. It's a short walk into Burford to explore other pubs. It's also a great location to explore other areas in the Cotswolds as it's just a short drive.
No issues.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was very good
Bathroom was dreadful with mould on the grout, tiles loose around the toilet and chipped toilet seat, In the bedroom there was mould in the corners of the window frames and the varnish on the bedside tables and desk was peeling. The partition wall to the adjacent room may as well not have been there as we could hear every sound.

Central location. Staff were friendly. Spacious car park.
Breakfast could have been hotter. Had an English breakfast, but not given toast afterwards. Only 1 cup of coffee.

just tired , in need of refurbishment

Lovely helpful staff. Always polite and pleasant under difficult circumstances at times.
Food often cold and not as described on menu. Window would not close. Room clean but scruffy.
