OK for an overnight stay.

Easy on street parking. Bus stop outside for easy access to Cardiff. Ease and flexibility of access at night. Exceptionally Clean sheets and towels. Friendly host.

When l stayed here 10 yrs ago it was immaculate and breakfast was the best I'd ever had. Honestly. If I wasn't constantly sent emails asking me to 'Rate my stay' l would have prefered to have put it down to experience, as the host was a really nice guy and obviously overwhelmed, with the amount of visitors. The place is very tired now. In the room we stayed in the executive bed was falling apart, as were the blinds and the room was definitely in need of a good spring clean (in my opinion). And ...............No breakfast, so overall very disappointed.

Overall, a very pleasant stay, a great base to go out each day.

The location was perfect for us, as we like to walk and it’s about 15 minutes into the city centre. The room was clean, of an adaquate size, with a very convenient en-suite. The hosts couldn’t do enough for you and we’re very knowledgeable about the area. They were always contactable for any help you may need. Tea and coffee facilities were available and a very welcomed bottle of fresh water to drink in the room.

Sadly, the location of a shared washroom was next to our room. Not a massive problem but as I’m a light sleeper, any time it was used, in the night or early morning, I was awoken. Just unfortunate. Also, I think there may have been a boxed in boiler or main pipes in our room, so whenever another bathroom was used, the sound in our room of the pipes, seemed magnified. Also, the decor is very “tired” and in desperate need of refreshing. I completely appreciate these guys are still recovering from the devastation of covid and revamping decor is a pricey business, they do however, absolutely allow for this in their nightly rate. My humble suggestion would be to at least invest in some new pillows and bedding overall.

Great as a stopover.

Cheap considering that the city centre isn’t to far away. Free WiFi, hosts friendly and have enough information about hotel and local area on arrival.

Dated TV’s, room wasn’t particularly clean plenty of dust under bed, lights hanging in bathroom and boiler for hotel based in room 1. No breakfast anymore and while there technically is plenty of parking available there is no dedicated spaces for Ty Rosa so finding a space maybe a fair bit up or down the road.

I would recommend.

Clean and cosy room and clean toilet. Friendly owners and staff. Good living room. Close from the city center. ADORABLE CATS, they are seldom seen. If you are lucky, you could see them.

The floor is a little squeaky, so a sensitive person can feel uncomfortable sleeping. It was bearable for me.

We enjoyed our time at Ty Rosa. Everyone was friendly and we had a lovely room.

Beds squeaked alot. Every time I turned at night it woke me up.

If u want a quiet holiday don't stay here

I liked the fact that the people was polite and friendly

The fact there was hooligans outside a couple of nights that chased us in from out side and wen we first arrived the fact there was loads of flys around to the point we had to go buy fly spray and air conditioner they give u a tv in ur room but the signal is crap and u can't really watch TV only 2 channels worked in the evenings it was nice until the people in the rooms next to us kept going in nd out at all hours of the early morning my son couldn't sleep

great location, friendly host but overall the stay was disappointing

Comfy, clean bed.

The bathroom door didn't close properly, so wasn't very private, and it had a layer of thick dust on it. There was a boiler in the room that we stayed in, which was noisy when being used. The shared bathroom was right next to the room we stayed in and unfortunately you could hear when people were using it.

Waste of money

The price, but you get what you pay for unfortunately.

The owners didn't even ask who we were when we arrived which we found very weird as we could've been anyone. The bandb itself was not covid secure and we had to share a bathroom with multiple people and it never got cleaned. The owners seemed to always be in the kitchen downstairs and it was obvious they lived there. They never spoke to us during our stay. I had to drive a long journey home in the middle of the night eventhough I'd paid to stay because these owners let others smoke spice in their room. The street outside is awful, a young boy asked me if I had any drugs and witnessed groups of people doing drugs and being extremely loud all night. I wish we had booked an air b and b because it would've been more worth the money and its the same concept! Also, this isn't the best street to park your car on as I got mine keyed

Lovely, friendly place ^^

The staff were wonderful and the room itself was perfect for what we needed - bed was very comfy, lots of storage space. It was in a pretty convenient location for what we needed to with bus services to the city right outside.

Worth giving a try if on budget.

Decent stay. Close to place of work and a smiling invite on arrival. Easy access to nearby places and a,ple roadside parking slots including a quiet neighbourhood.

Breakfast not available citing reasons of pandemic (No alternate arrangements were available). Toilet was clean but freshners at toilet were not available on request. Television screen showed multiple lines denoting a failing picture tube/ electrical failure. Rest all met expectations.

Friendly welcoming people accomodation average but beds clean towels etc clean nice touches with shampoo and shower gels also had hairdryer i forgot mine also had iron and fan well worth the money

The location but not that bad and not there fault a little bit scruffy around the area . There property looked nice but surroundung ones not very nice and alot of roadworks but that cant be helped
