Perfect! Everything we needed to have a relaxing break away.

Hotel stay gets top marks. Location to city centre is perfect. Simply a short walk to shops, pubs, museum and more.

The NCP car park opposite is expensive despite applying the hotel promo code.

Sadly the jazzcui wasn't working when we went which was gutting as it was on of the reasons when we went as it came with swimming sauna and jacuzzi

Relaxing (wife had massage in Spa), welcoming and memorable.

Wonderful stay at hotel. Made hotel aware it was special occasion for my wife's 60th birthday. Reception said happy birthday when booking in, goodies left on bed in room and as I had booked restaurant for meal that night staff there were aware of the birthday and said happy birthday and gave her a lovely dessert with birthday message.

If I had to find any fault, and really struggling to do so, then breakfast in morning was not as we have had previously. However am aware wedding day before so probably went for breakfast at a wrong time.

Overall it was excellent. Pity about the breakfast.

Seemed a little tired as though it had been cooked and kept warm. Not as fresh as it could be. Bacon needs to be crisper as it was a bit rubbery.

Fried eggs need to be softer. Bacon could be crisper.

Great room, great pool, lovely staff, fantastic location.

Room and en-suite were lovely and a good size. The swimming pool was excellent and we really enjoyed this experience. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The options for vegans were non existent and when we asked we were told there was no stock of vegan yoghurts. We were told the day before that there would be plenty of vegan options and this led us to purchase breakfast when paying for the room. It was disappointing to find this was so limited the next day. We would have been better finding somewhere vegan for breakfast. The staff were helpful and apologetic for the limited offerings though.

Lovely hotel, staff amazing, great location. Worth a visit!

We went to a concert at Cardiff Castle, the reception staff, cleaners, restaurant staff everyone was amazing. Great choice of breakfast the room was lovely fantastic value for money. We will definitely be coming back loved it.

Nothing we loved it. Next time I will definitely be trying the spa we just didn't have enough time.

Amazing location easily walking distance to the centre, fabulous room, comfortable, clean, lots of extras , great size , amazing breakfast and lovely pool and great gym

Good stay - a few touch up's needed to make it better.

Location - great location and able to easily access attractions such as the castle and city centre. Around a 30 minute walk to Cardiff Bay. Access to the spa facilities made it a nice extra touch to the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was pretty quiet considering the location.

Room - some aspects of the room needed updating. The window was dirty and the bottom of the window needed replacing. Bathroom - good sized shower and separate bath tub but needed grout cleaning more in and around the shower and the shower door needed cleaning better.

Staff were very friendly and helpful - the location was very convenient for exploring sites like the castle - had a lovely dinner in the very comfortable restaurant - the room was comfortable and cosy for our winter time stay

Okay but would pay more for a better located hotel.

Staff - all friendly Gym - excellent.

Location - opposite NCP, Yates bar , a club and another young pub. Not a particularly welcoming area. Parking - dirty and very difficult to pay. Ended up paying full price as machine broken and NCP app difficult to redeem dis pint.

Great location for all amenities definitely stay again.

Room location was great near lift. Breakfast was good lots of variety and freshly cooked. Loved the size of the bed and so comfy too.

Would not return. Not my definition of a 4 star experience!

The staff were very friendly and the Sunday lunch was good

Breakfast was cheap and tasteless I tried once and not again. Housekeeping was appalling - both days I had to chase to get my room made up and on each day it was after 430pm when the room was cleaned. I have NEVER had that experience in any hotel I have ever stayed in I was in an executive room and booked 3 massages and had to pay to HIRE a dressing gown for the sauna- unacceptable The TV didnt access any main channels

Wasn't the best this time round.

Staff were friendly and helpful, food was amazing and the bar staff were brilliant.

Room was super small as was the bed, we requested to move rooms as we ordered and XL bed, after 10 mins of explaining this we were finally moved. The new room had a lovely size bed but the air con didn't work, no toiletries were left and dirty tooth paste around the taps. We asked if they could change the AIR con in the room to a lower temperature but were told they could not do so. The TV was broken, therefore unusable. Such a shame as we have stayed here many of times and come back due to the higher spec.

Superb

Room very clean and large, with even a safe box to keep your things in. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were also very nice, and they opened early in the morning to let you enjoy a swim before going into the city. 24 hour room service was also amazing, calling them at any time if you needed anything and they would promptly bring it to you; whether it was a spare HDMI cable, a bath robe or even complimentary bottles of water.

Prices of the food in room service were quite expensive for the portions you get. Also, the breakfast was not nice at all - I could not even finish it and had to buy breakfast elsewhere. I had also paid for later checkout by 2 hours, however they blocked my keycard at the normal checkout time so I was locked out of my room in my swimsuit.

I didn’t realise that breakfast wasn’t included in the room rate. I paid £318 for 2 rooms, paying that much I would have thought breakfast would be included.

I wasn’t given the opportunity to book twin rooms on the website and we were told when we booked in that they would get housekeeping to go in and change the rooms from doubles to twins but it didn’t happen, we weren’t too fussed about it as the beds were big enough but if it wasn’t possible to change them then reception shouldn’t have offered.
