The position was great.
We had a room in the attic which was difficult to reach and we felt it was a potential fire hazard.
The biggest issue was the NOISE from live entertainment. It pulsed through the building and was particularly bad between 11 and midnight (when it ceased)
Also noise from refrigeration unit was very audible in the room.
Not a restful night at all!
Cooked breakfast and staff were definitely not up to standard.
We have been travelling across the UK for the past 2 weeks and have experienced anything like this night

I liked that the room was clean offered all that I needed. The shower was amazing nice and warm and powerful. The room had plenty tea and coffee and nice biscuits. I ate 2 nights in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Any time I spoke to staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here.
The only issued no matter what I did the water flooded the floor from the shower. Design fault with the shower base.

The views from our room were great. The beach is across the road. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more attentive. There was a lift directly to the floor where my Mother’s room was which was important due to mobility issues. The bar and reception areas are clean and welcoming.
The room was very comfortable and functional with unhindered views across the firth towards Arran. A real delight to sit and have a coffee and look out at after waking up. The room itself though would benefit from some modernisation to bring it into sync with the front of house areas which are modern. Having said that the room was very comfortable, warm and pleasant to stay in and I’d recommend it to family and friends.

Our room had a lot of space and a great TV. It was clean and we always got new towels. The breakfast was great with everything you want. The location is great - directly on the beach. Dinner in the restaurant was astonishing. I didn't know you could get such good food in Scotland.

Room was clean and airy. Bed comfortable.
Shower was lacking in power and maybe a glass door would have been preferable to curtain.

The room was very clean; the dogs were genuinely welcome; the beach was delightfully close and the hotel offered us sanctuary. Staff were extremely approachable and friendly.

Good location, exceptional staff, excellent food and decent bar facilities
Shabby room in need of upgrading

the room was very dated, wanted an extra £15 for a room with a sea view, the picture of the room on booking.com certainly wasn’t the room we got!

Good full breakfast - warm and well cooked.
Dogs were welcome. Arrangements were made for guests with pets to dine away from the main dining room.
Walking distance to the clean and pleasant beach.
The staff were pleasant and responded to residents' needs.
The cold and hot breakfast selection could have been more varied to cater for those who have a restricted/vegan diet.
One evening meal has to be returned - it was cold in the centre. The meal was returned to the table after being reheated to an extreme temperature.
The property is described as pets may incur a charge. This is not MAY - pets are welcome at an ADDITIONAL charge. The price of our night's stay was increased by ÂŁ10.
The shower turned off after a longer period of use and resetting the isolating switch was the only way to restart.
The room was very noisy with the room opposite being asked to quieten down by reception after a guest had complained. Perhaps we picked a bad night, but the hallway does appear to suffer from being a sound corridor.
