Because of resources, the breakfast was not at a high standard, however the staff were excellent.

Nicely decorated inside breakfast was good and cooked to order. Room was a decent size.

Some renovations are in progress but did no effect visit. Maybe if you stay during day could be some work noise

I hadn't realised that the hotel was being renovated ( though that didn't bother us) or that the spa wouldn't be in use, which was a pity.

Ok - needs more attention to the details

The room and hotel were very very clean - amazing seeing as it has renovation work going on. The room was very well decorated and the shower was powerful. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in any hotel.

There was a bit of a lack of attention to detail - working at the desk meant my husband couldn't watch TV at the same time, the room needs a standard lamp over the separate table. There wasn't anywhere in the shower area to put shower gel or shampoo, meaning you had to put it on the shower floor, which is a risk. The room was really hot and the aircon was fixed at 25 degrees - the dial to change it never changed the temperature. When we checked in it seemed like the receptionist had never met a gay couple and couldn't work out that one room with a double bed was what we wanted.

Very disappointing hotel experience

Apparently the breakfast bar is good but it is only available from 8am which defeat the purpose - we couldn’t benefit but we’re not compensated for booking rooms with breakfast

There is rubbish everywhere- no spa facilities- old carpets outside the window - old everything on the car park& we were charged for 1 car on the car park Staff isn’t particularly friendly and doesn’t care about the client experience Both our bedroom cards were disabled and we couldn’t re-enter our bedrooms on Saturday

It was my wife's 70th birthday so would have chosen to eat in. However not a complaint.

A very friendly welcome, a nice room clean warm good breakfast

Sadly we were not impressed with evening meal menu, however that was our choice whether to eat in or out

Good small hotel

The bathroom was spotless. Very good location. Economical.

Car parking is very limited, and the front desk lady didn't know much about the town central car park, and the work going on there. Would be good to know in advance dining offers.

Overall i don't think this hotel is value for money, having paid over £150 for B&B (inc. car park)

THE location of this hotel is good. The staff was friendly. The food was ok, we had burgers. Breakfast was a hot buffet which was also ok.

The decor of the hotel is dated. It generally lacks atmosphere and it is dark, particularly the restaurant. I had asked for a twin room and called the day before our arrival to confirm this but when i arrived it was a double! Also the car park is charged at an extra £9 (not £5 as advertised) which is a bit steep. We saw a dinner offer for £49 advertised so we booked a table for 7pm. The waiter came to fetch us at 6.30pm and asked if we could dine earlier to suit the chef which was fine. when we got to the table and given the set menu, the waiter told us that actually there was no offer on Fridays! the manager gave us 20% off the food bill as a compensation.

Wouldn’t stay here again

The location was good for walking into town.

The rooms were very poor there was hair on the bathroom floor, the bathroom was disappointing as bath was gross. The spa was a joke!

Comfortable room, friendly staff, well located establishment with parking

Softest fluffiest bathtowels ever! Ironingboard in the room was a big plus! We only realised later on during our travels, what a bonus the free parking onsite was.

Plug in bath collapsed into the hole. Had to open it with a teaspoon and keep spoon wedged underneath to allow shower water to drain.

Good hotel for a city break in Salisbury

A friendly independent hotel, within walking distance of Salisbury Town centre. There was ample parking with a small charge. A small but nice spa on site was a bonus. The hotel was clean and staff welcoming. The breakfast included with our room price was also good.

It would have been good to have some toiletries. Even though our room looked newly decorated , the bathroom could do with some attention.

Lovely staff .. nice room good location

Very noisy at times .. can hear others talking so made it difficult to sleep. Room was not cleaned for the duration I was there .. fresh towels was given but floor and bed not cleaned.

Pleasant staff but hotel needs some sparkle back

Staff were polite and pleasant. Rooms were spacious and with good amenities.

The building is looking tired. There were old plates and crockery in the conservatory in full view. This didn't make a great first impression. I called ahead to the main reception to try and book a spa session and was told to go over when we arrived and book direct at the spa. When we arrived the spa was booked and no space for the full day. We were in a standard double. The bed was hard and very springy. In the early hours there was some very loud noises that seemed to be coming from bathroom pipes.

Although the hotel was disappointing, the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was good, although we paid extra to have it. The best thing about the hotel was the location, car park (£6 per night) and friendly staff. We paid a reduced rate to use the spa and that made up for the dated hotel.

The room was dated and the carpet was drab. The mattress was sagging, old and uncomfortable and had no mattress cover. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet basin properly.
