This is not a hotel. No body answered the phone about 10:00pm It is an Indian run accommodation
Nothing
Nothing at all. Night staff did not open the door. I saw him in the basement room before 10:30pm. No body answered our phone before 10:00pm. No offer for earlier check in, but I really just wanted to get the keys. It is an Indian run hotel, a member staff lived in the basement room. I asked him to help me, he just ignored me. How could a hotel have no one for emergence contact before 10:00pm and thereafter. It claims to be a hotel. We paid a lot of money for 2 double rooms. No one was available in the "hotel" about 10:30pm. No messages or telephone calls from the hotel. But I could only find the message after we tried and failed to get our access for almost an hour. Message was received after we drove long hours to get home. We wanted the accommodation for the night just because I did not want to drive home immediately after our social event in Bath. It was so embarrassing as we had our guests with us for the stay. Everything was ruined. Before 10:00pm. The telephone was unmanned. This is not a hotel. No hotel could be like that, I have never come across anyway. Appalling

Dirty , dilapidated and smelly. Unfriendly manager,
Close to town with free parking but only when available It was available when we needed it Also on a bus route
Dated , grubby and dark basement room and mould in the bathroom. Strange smell in the bathroom ? Pest or mould spray ??? We usually strip beds to assist staff but I wish we hadn’t , my mattress was badly stained , yuk Didn’t feel at all comfortable there, definitely wouldn’t have eaten there Called the manager before to request early check if possible, we were prepared to pay extra The answer was “No” very blunt We only saw the one man in a dirty t shirt who seemed to be the manager and only member of staff . The so called swimming pool clearly hadn’t been used for years, full of dirt and rubbish We wouldn’t stay again

comfortable stay, close to local shops and town centre
period property close to town centre. friendly and attentive staff
outside grounds were a bit tatty, view from room 11 wasn’t very nice, a derelict garden lean-to and the car park room could have done with an extra small table or draws to store things

We had a pleasant stay at Wentworth House.
I liked the small conservatory attached to the room that gave access to the garden. The garden was nice we arrived at 9 and their was still plenty of parking space, and it was free. We didn't book breakfast and I asked on arrival but missed out as they had only bought enough for the booked breakfasts. We were asked if we wanted breakfast the next day and we had breakfast the day after.
I think it's a bit outdated. The 4 poster bed is loud when you move on it the pillows were a little flatter than I normally like. The shower goes hot and cold and did burn me. The shower head doesn't stay up. There's no welcome information in the room I would of preferred that with a little welcome message some info on the hotel and the WiFi and what not. And the decor is a little old fashioned but it didn't effect our stay. I slept really well.
