Good location, friendly staff & good breakfast
Cheaper than other hotels but still expensive. Probably making the most of the demand due to horse racing meeting.

Clean room, breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.
Bed was a little firm for me personally. Found the evening menu a little expensive.

Staff were so pleasant and welcoming, very helpful, nothing was to much trouble.
Room was clean, spacious and quite, I was in a corridor room and was surprised what good value for money this room was as was their cheapest room, but you wouldn’t have known! Great location too for the high street. Oh and a really tasty freshly prepared breakfast in the morning included in the price.
Nothing, everything was wonderful from start to finish and will happy stay here again when attending the races.

Good location for the races and town.
Very expensive £157 for the basic room with a window to the corridor. Double bed was very small and room and facilities looked tired and dated.

Restaurant foods are delicious.
The shower facility operates not too well.

The reception staff and cleaning staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s a great location, right at the bottom of Warren Hill. Easy walking distance into the town. Average size rooms with good bathrooms.
The restaurant was a huge disappointment. The staff were rude and didn’t seem very organised. We felt rushed, as if they couldn’t wait to finish their shift. The Sunday dinner was definitely not worth the price! Only 2 meat choices and 2 veg options. Potatoes I presume were meant to be roasted but were more like over boiled. Our meals were cold. Other customers sat on a table next to ours loudly effing and using general foul language which isn’t acceptable, especially when we had a young child who could clearly hear. So I would not recommend the restaurant.

Comfortable bar, and breakfast was good. All staff very friendly and helpful. Good location in centre of town. Plenty of parking available. Good shower and comfortable bed.
Room was smaller than we are used to and there wasn’t a window looking outside, only onto a public corridor.
