Beautiful, heritage building
Long walk to the room, lift out of order.
Bedroom very dark, no dressing table with lighting and plug socket for hair and make up.
Bar staff used fingers to add garnish to drinks, very unhygienic!

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Tolle Atmosphäre.

Stunning vintage style hotel, very friendly and classy, I've stayed about 4 times now, beautiful hotel.
Slow service in the bar area, you need more staff.

Beautiful building. Very convenient location - close to Oxford Road station and amenities, shops, theatres etc. Normally areas by train stations are not the best, but this area was still very nice even considering proximity to the train station.
Very good breakfast. Room decor was tasteful. Plenty of space in the rooms. Super large mirror. Loved the plants around the building and in the room. Nice toiletries and I liked that lots of additional extras were available to lend or have if requested.
Room was a bit cold when we first got in. But staff offered to provide a heater - which in the end was not needed as we turned thermostat up when we went out for dinner and it was fine when we got back.
Could do with some more lamps/lights - room was a bit dark. Also more coffee pods.
Pillows were not the best (quite lumpy) considering the quality of everything else in the hotel.
None of the negatives ruined the trip - just mentioning as with some small improvements it could be perfect.

An amazing building, centrally located, with incredible decor that maintains the original features, all within walking distance of Manchester Piccadilly station and major attractions.
Absolutely no complaints!

Relaxed, stylish and impressive building. Everything that's great about Manchester. Great style, history, friendly people cool vibe too.
Very very small thing we had stunning meal but the pastry on the apple strudel was not right it was hard to cut. That is so picky as everything else stunning

Huge luxurious rooms. Grand architecture. Interesting historical touches everywhere you look. Great breakfast. Good gym.
The place is an absolute maze.

The building is really impressive
The fact that the bar is open to the public and gets extremely busy on a weekend, it wasn’t the luxury hotel bar experience I was hoping for, having to queue 15 mins for a drink. The rooms weren’t great, a bit tired looking, uncomfortable beds, paid for a premium room but definitely wasn’t worth the money. Most of the staff had very poor and unprofessional appearances

From the minute we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by Adam, who made us feel really welcome. We then checked in and they booked us a table for our evening meal, then Adam took us to our room. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. We took the dog, and everyone was so kind and made us feel they were pleased she was there. Nobody made us feel awkward, or that she wasn't wanted there.
Our room was really spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable, with a selection of pillows to cater for most peoples choice. The decor was absolutely beautiful and made the most of the amazing original features of the building.
We went down for our evening meal and the food was absolutely amazing. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, and again nothing too much trouble. The quality of the food was superb. They even brought a bowl of water for the dog to drink while she lay under our table waiting for us to finish our food. Other guests commented saying they didn't realise pets were welcome and how lovely the staff were to her. They said they would bring their dogs next time.
We stayed for 2 nights, but wished we had booked for longer. It was a fantastic experience and we will be back again soon. Thanks again to all the lovely staff for making our stay so great.
There wasn't a thing we didn't like.

We booked the premium rooms which were comfortable with a good size and comfortable bed. The breakfast was also very good.
1)Check-in was slow and confusing. At check-out we were promised a email receipt but that did not arrive and we had the chase the hotel for it
2)WIFI did not work, you had to sign up to their rewards programme but the app did not work, not a great experience
3) My room had a connecting door so the noise level from the next door room was terrible. I was like the people next door were in my room. So a big minus for sound proofing
4)Beware this hotel is many buildings meshed into one. It makes for a very interesting hotel but there are stairs involved to and from lifts

Totally gorgeous property - the lobby, hallways and bar were a feast for the eyes! Staff were outstanding. Location was good for me this trip: 15 min walk to the university and right across from Manchester Oxford station. Happy hour/ free wine at 5-6 pm was a lovely touch! I also saw some celebrities while I was there!
Restaurant (refuge) menu limited/small plates - not ideal for a single business traveller and the bar stops serving food at 5. It would have been fine if there were other options nearby but there really wasn’t. Loads of coffee shops and a sainsburys. A take out burger place across the street Also i found it really loud in the bar most of the time which is great fun if that’s what you’re after but after a long day I was looking for a quiet pint and some casual food. Temperature control in the room could have been better but there was a window that opened so that helped

The Kimpton chain provides the best customer service we have experienced in a hotel
The hotel has, in our opinion, yet to sort out its bar facilities. The main bar is very noisy. There should be a more intimate location with subtle background music

Had to request to be moved as no shower in the room. The breakfast was cold even the coffee was served lukewarm very disappointing.

It is a stunning property in general, the architecture is breathtaking
The room was beautiful but it was noisy, make sure to take ear plugs, our room was next to some tracks that was fairly loud

Breakfast was exceptional, it’s the best cooked breakfast. I think I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, good quality food, fantastic hashbrowns, crisp and delicious. Lovely fruit salad and fantastic muesli and granola.

Friendly staff. Lovely bar/ public areas and really enjoyed the complimentary early evening drink.
Ive stayed here several times and this is the first occasion i felt the room looked a little 'tired' . There was a very slight 'drain' odour in the room and bathroom door was catching on the floor (room 187) . However only there for one night so didn't mention.....hopefully a one off.
(I also think as this is a premium room might be time to change the mattresses)

Decor. Facilities. Closeness to Graduation Ceremony.
Arrived by car! Location for unloading luggage dreadful and dangerous.Owing to Health issues - couldn’t manage luggage from car park.
Found an alternative Car Park to hotel suggestion which was more convenient.
Hotel more suitable for short stay business customers.
