The staff were very helpful and answered all my questions quickly and accurately.
The bed was quite loud and creaky.

Excellent location, friendly staff, lovey bar with a good range of beer, and good breakfast.
Bedroom was very cold and dirty and the bed was very uncomfortable. We were told the central heating would come on at 7pm, however, there was no heat in the bedroom or bathroom radiators. We asked for a portable heater but were told there was only one and it was in use by another guest. Room was dirty - cobwebs everywhere, filthy carpet and dirty windows. The one half of the double bed was practically broken and unusable. It was our worst stay in any UK hotel. The rooms are really letting down this pub/hotel.

Lovely little hotel with lots of character. Staff were all really welcoming and accommodating.
Limited breakfast options if you're vegetarian. But dinner menu is great.

Quaint, great breakfast
Usual pub noise

A surprisingly good size bathroom compared to the standard of the hotel and the quality of the food.
Lifeless food, sagging pillows, curtains hanging off the rail and tasteless furniture. It wasnt even cheap. If thats 3 stars then inflation has happening across the board ... Honestly for what could be a wonderful opportunity for a tourist trap of a traditional old english pub it made me ashamed to be English.
Sorry to be so negative, I am a hugely positive person.

we don’t recommend this place at all. animal heads hanging off the walls which doesn’t look nice at all! rooms look NOTHING like the pictures and it’s like they were photoshopped, the bathroom was a joke as the power shower was so loud and old and the shower curtain was half the width of the bath tub. it was like a budget room for over £200 which we felt we were mugged. the front door lock and the bath room lock didn’t work! it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all and within the hour decided we need to leave and found another place to Stay which was not far from there and was like a different world. can’t really say anything positive about this place to be honest.
avoid this place.

great location, amazing staff and the best food we’ve had in years!
some broken taps and only the one towel in our room

The staff were friendly and the food was good.
The bed was comfortable.
Room was small and dark and the furniture was scratched and scruffy so maybe relace these bits of furniture. The room was too warm also.
The location was pretty but not much to do at all, we left a day early and moved on to Portishead marina which we wish we had gone originally as it was lovely.

Location
The room was far too hot even though the heating was not on and it was not a warm day. Room 10? Was it above the kitchen? Slept badly because too hot

It was very convenient for our needs and the staff were extremely accommodating.
The pillows were appalling and when our room was serviced we weren’t provided with clean mugs for the following morning, an oversight I’m sure.
