Kind staff. The room was huge and comfortable. I was given an accessible bathroom, which it is great that they have but was not suitable for me. A friend joined me for coffee at the hotel and the staff were welcoming and kind. Good location next to the station.
Would've preferred a non-wet-room bathroom. The room was very dark because the small window is adjacent to the entrance to a storage room and could do with better lighting as an option.

This is a great Hotel! The staff was immensly helpfull and forthcomming! We enjoyed our stay and I can recommend the restaurant that`s part of the hotel too. Definitely the best place to stay, if you`d like to enjoy a real british experience. Thanks again, keep up the good work!
Didn`t had any thing to complain!

Was in one of the new rooms, it was absolutely amazing. Very clean, spacious. Great location. Only 10 / 15 mins walk to beach. Nice big beer garden. Breakfast in the morning was very good as well. The staff here are so friendly & very welcoming. Will definitely come here again. 10/10.
Absolutely nothing.

The newly decorated room was lovely and very well thought out with nice touches and a good range of lighting. The bed was super comfy and the large TV was good. All super clean. Great shower with Bramley natural brand toiletries. Friendly and helpful staff.
Perfect location for the train station but this is a bit far from the centre & beach. It was quite a walk to town but there is a bus.

Lovely large room, beautifully decorated
Fire alarm at 9am 😬 but I'm sure that's just a teething thing

The room was comfortable and clean.
Pressure to the shower, repair the loose headboard, curtain at bathroom window. Poor parking

it was ok for the price
absolutely awful stay. the receptionist said the bar below was closing at 7pm as it was a Sunday. I was kept up until 3am with possibly staff singing terribly to karaoke and drunk outside my window . it was awful . I had a 6 hour car journey today and I felt dreadful as no sleep. the reason I booked the hotel was to have a rest. absolutely disgusting. I’ve never stayed anywhere so dreadful. if you have hotel guests then show some respect and let them sleep for the money they paid for the room. receptionist didn’t want to be there either. I wanted to go out and tell them to stop but I heard them all being volatile as so drunk. ruined my weekend to see my son I hadn’t seen for two years because of covid . DO NOT Book this hotel. I want my money back!!!! even had little kids cleaning the rooms. not proper cleaners. absolutely dodgy set up.

The staff were very helpful and tried to make the best of the situation.
The linen was clean.
There is a "massive renovation" planned. The building smells damp and the room tatty and crumbling.
No food available or car park because of the renovation.
Hopefully after the renovation things will be much improved and the hotel will be a pleasant place to stay.
We asked for an easy access room, which they said would be provided but there were 3 flights of stairs and an over-bath shower that was impossible to negotiate.

- The bed was comfy.
- The location of the hotel was absolutely amazing for what we wanted. We were coming for Brighton Pride and the hotel is RIGHT opposite the train station.
- We were able to check in, park our car there and collect a room key early in the day so that we could get straight to Brighton and enjoy the day out without having to worry about a check in time.
- Bed sheets and towels seemed very clean.
- I wanted to ask about early check in so I called the property numerous times and never got an answer. I then messaged them using the “contact the property” link on Booking.com and never got an answer. I also enquired about it on the online form I filled out that the property sent prior to arrival and still heard nothing in return. Luckily, when we got there the early check in was absolutely fine but we travelled there not knowing if we’d be able to or not.
- The shower/bath was NOT clean. Mould and missing tiles.
- The shower was awful - literally trickled and was not even luke warm!
- The room had lots of peeling paint, what looked like a large patch of water damage on the ceiling and holes in the wall; generally very tired and in need of a serious lick of paint.

I love this hotel, always very clean and great staff both in the hotel an the pub
sorry to say but the bathroom needs attention,
it’s very clean but in need of decorating

Hotel was probably excellent in its day. Now very tatty and need of a refurb. No breakfast was included in the price. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, and irons and boards were readily available. 😰
The room we were in was facing the railway station so a little noisy. The pub part of the hotel also had music playing until 01:00 Sunday morning with a dj
4.5
Unhelpful staff more interested in the football on tv and the locals in bar, room dated, paint flaking off ceiling, bathroom stained and dirty.
Loud pub below, with music till early hours.
Tiny carpark only room for 3 cars and was full when arrived.

The staff Steph,Martin and Chris were brilliant. We had a ball with them
Premises were a bit dated but they are due to have a massive refurbishment.. would love to return when done.

Once checked in, it was a mammoth task to drag all our belongs up 4 flights of stairs with a 2 year old. Once in the room it was just so unclean and quite frankly disgusting, we went down to reception to try and speak to someone and after waiting for 10 mins gave up as no one around. We took photos of everything but it was disgusting, bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and absolutley no pressure at all in the shower. I'd of done better using the sink tap. Stains all over the carpets and walls, including a massive boogie. The bed was adequate, not the most comfortable but got us by. Upon going to make a cup of tea we decide we'd rather forgo than use the kettle which was absolutley disgusting in need of a good clean and to be honest seen better days. We also only had 2 plug points in the room one of which was loose and coming away from the wall and the other behind the TV.

Perfect location, nice room.
because of wind-banged windows, my husband didn't slept well.

close to the station
not clean at all. Disgusting.
No reception, had to go to the bar next to the hotel to check in and out.
4.5
Very much in need of a good clean & renovation.
The smell of old cigarettes still lingers in the hallway 🤮. Wallpaper changing from ceilings was quite shocking. But, the sheets were clean so we had a good sleep.
Cleanliness & refurb needed
4.5
bed was comfortable
room was very dated with lots of wear and rare cleaning could have been to a better standard found socks and boxers in bed side cabinet
4.5
Location good for me
To keep charging customers but not attending to anything. The place is being sold and is run down. Requies a lot of work. Such a shame. Obviously decided

Room was warm/cosy and bed reasonably comfortable. Good location for our purposes.
Bar/pub in hotel played very loud music until 1am on the Saturday night (we were on the top floor and it was still disturbingly loud). TV didn't work, we reported it 3 times, only fixed on our last night. Shower didn't work very well & needed descaling. The room door was left unlocked by staff on one day. Electrics were a cause for concern - main light needs fixing, no bulb in bedside light, sockets a bit loose etc.
4.5
A really traditional pub with beautiful ornate bar and friendly staff . we had free parking and although everything was very old the bedding and bathroom were clean ! coffee and tea making facilities and no noise from the bar below even when full of football fans !
The reception could be better, had to look for staff
4.5
Great location good size room for the price
Bar closed early wasn't made aware of this when checking in
Would of been nice to have 1 or 2 drinks at the bar or take to my room after a long day driving
No bedside lamp
