great location to town can walk everywhere.

absolutely scandalous that you have to pay €16 for parking just because we were on the ‘room only rate’.

Extremely disappointed

The reception area was beautiful the bar and the decor of the reception and hotel

Staff on Sunday were lovely when we arrived. Stayed Sunday till Tuesday and to say the least how I felt in the room with my daughter whom is autistic no air con & had 3 fans going in the room was awful tried explaining when checking out and all I got was oh we are not used to the heat when we get it, I wasn’t able at that point 2 even go further with the experience we had because I felt towards the lady at reception wasnt understandable and given the fact I was drained from the room we washed on the Sunday night & couldn’t wash Monday with how it was, just wanted 2 go home when checking out as I stated I was drained & just wanted 2 go home. My daughter was upset on Monday night from the temperature and I vomited awhile after we had food because I was so uncomfortable & hot. We had stayed before last October I think it was and our stay then was lovely. But for two nights €269 for myself & my daughter is like throwing money in the bin for the stay we had.

Business traveller

The hotel is well located. Parking in multi-storey pay for, with this paid if you have breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, and with free wifi. Breakfast from 07.00am was very good and food in the evening very good also.

The wifi was not secure and occasionally dropped out.

A very comfortable stay in a lovely hotel

This is a lovely hotel in Portaoise and it more than met our expectations. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was excellent. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the reception area and the bar is adjacent. We would happily stay here again.

We'd booked a twin room, got a double. Rang reception and they sent someone up straight away separate the double and dress both beds. They were so comfy, 2 folks that don't sleep so good actually had 2 great nights sleep. The hotel is beautiful, we used it as a base for travelling to Dublin for a match. Was perfect. The food we got in the bar was also beautiful. Staff all over the hotel were lovely, each one was so friendly and helpful.

Only thought the price for parking was a lil steep. €16 per day, cost us €32 altogether. Otherwise, every was brilliant.

Would probably not return - there’s better value to be had elsewhere - for the rate charged for a Monday night I frankly

Very little to like about this property - it’s centrally located but lacks any warmth that might endear itself to repeat business.

Celtic Tiger property, cavernous and cold. No USB charging in-room or sockets by the bedside. Room was cold and stark - relatively uninviting. Bathroom was poorly tiled and shower curtain wasn’t fit for purpose. Bar is cold and devoid of atmosphere - food is mediocre. Staff are ok but not necessarily d there to delight the customer. Very expensive parking at €16 per night for a small provincial town in Ireland.

Absolutely spotless hotel 🏨 the decor is top class. I would highly recommend this hotel has everything you need and the food is delicious.

Everything was perfect..there nothing you could fault about this hotel..everyone there should be applauded. Thank you all for everything. I really loved it..be definitely be back.
