Lovely hotel and food. Swimming pool and spa excellent.
A better bar area for children with a pool table would be nice. A park for children?

Clean in beautiful setting within the golf course
Noisy floor boards

Good location
Very tired hotel.
I was put in an accessible room so set up for someone in a wheelchair not 6’2”
Toilet seat broken.
Lady at reception kept calling me love and not very helpful.
4.0
Large/spacious rooms, arranged the accessible rooms we asked for, lovely pool & spa, tasty breakfast, excellent location
Toiletries ran out on day one but weren’t replenished despite daily room cleaning, carpets & decor a little tired, low power shower, limited lifts are a risk for disabled access to lower floor, breakfast was very slow to be topped up when running low, golfers seem to be an unfriendly/snobbish bunch!
3.5
The surrounding area and views.
The restaurant was amazing nice gym and pool
Our room (Superior with balcony) looked a felt very tired with loose wobbly fixtures and handles and a big chunk missing in the side of the bath and cracks on the tiles. Also screws sticking up on the balcony decking.
3.5
Staff very approachable & friendly. Great food in only restaurant open No18 brassiere, pool & golf course superb
Full range of restaurants not available. Professional Golf tournament ended on the Sunday & still main restaurant shut until Thursday. Seemed to be lack of numbers of staff. Long waiting times for meals, plates, glasses & used tables left for a long time.
4.5
All very good, helpful staff, food very nice.
4.5
Dinner options were very good and the room was well equipped and a good size.
It has the feel of an upmarket country club and so quite relaxed and friendly but with high standards.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic which wouldn't be such a problem for a leisure break but I was there on business.
Everything else was first rate and so I might have just been there when they weren't quite at the top of their game.
4.0
everything. helpful staff, good food, great gym and spa facilities. golf lesson was great. overall everything
it looks slightly tired. I stayed there about 6 years ago and it doesn’t look like it had been touched in that time. tables looked very damaged and tatty in the bar. that said this would not stop me revisiting

Location
A bit of a revamp required, stuck in the 90’s. Lick of paint wouldn’t go amiss.

Lovely detached cottage with everything you could need. A real home from home. Great pool and gym area. The pool was perfect for the baby and 5 year old.
Nothing

great staff, reasonable breakfast
open wi-fi blocking some websites.

the bed was comfortable
The staff were not so helpful
5.0
The room and bathroom was quite big, clean and comfy, nothing to fault here. We had Elemis Spa toiletries in the bathroom, even hand lotion. The breakfast was extra 12£ per person which seemed a lot at first, but they did not fail. Hot and cold buffett, coffee, juice, pastries and even a pancake-making machine. It was great!
The spa area was top notch: 3 pools, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and sun loungers. All clean and well kept. The changing facilities were clean all throughout, and it even had a flat iron and hair dryers.
The hallways could do with a bit of renovating
3.5
Swimming facilities and sauna was pleasant. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were fairly priced for the type of venue.
The room was very basic and the floorboards were very loud with some stains on the carpets and chairs. The bed was comfortable enough and the tea and coffee supplies were nice.
4.5
The bath was lovely.the black out blinds are effective.the pool area is fab.
Quite outdated carpets throughout corridors but that's aesthetic not an actual issue

The spa
3.5
Had golf for partner and spa for me. Friendly, helpful staff. Spa facilities were very good.
decor looking tired… bathroom floor grout missing
2.5
The spa facilities were okay, the food was also quite nice but expensive .
Well where do I start , the room was basic and dated , after paying £140 for a one night stay at St Mellion International (lol) in a superior room I did expect some degree of quality , it was more look a Travelodge room or a standard room at butlins . The carpets were very worn , bath would sink when you sat in it plus the tv was one that was borrowed from my grandmother . The robes that were supplied were flimsy , creased and worn and the bedding was old and frayed .

Good breakfast & evening meals
No problem with staff.
The temperature! OK it was January but inside temperature ruined whole weekend as we were so cold all the time.
Room heating on full but still arctic!
Disabled access not good as lift to main floor out of order ( Had we known this, we wouldn't have booked )

I've stayed here before - its comfortable and (although I didn't use them) has good facilities - gym, swimming pool etc.
The hotel really needs to sort out the taxi situation. The reception staff no longer make taxi bookings, instead, guests are handed a list of 'local' taxi companies and are invited to make the bookings themselves. Of the 10 taxi companies on my list, no less than 6 say they no longer serve the hotel. I waited 2.5 hours before I finally got into a taxi that was willing to collect me.

it’s really tired now. I’ve been here many times over the last 10 years. and little has changed. it urgently needs a decent refresh.
creaky floors, grout missing on bathroom floor tiles, wonky doors, grubby carpets…
also all night next door rooms toilet cistern was running, very noisy!
