Great location and views from the room were awesome. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

The location and set up were both perfect for our family.

The room, although at one time was fantastic is looking a bit worn-needs an update. Also, our key cards for our doors kept not working! We stay in lots of hotel and have never had that issue-perhaps needs an update too?!

Excellent property, wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Great location and superb front desk staff. Some issues experienced with housekeeping, however service recovery from front desk was excellent.

Property would be great if it included a fitness centre.

Great hotel

Excellent location close to everything in the CBD. Really easy walk to the dock precinct and Elizabeth Street Mall. Would be fantastic location for people needing the royal Hobart hospital as it’s across the road, and next door to Ronald McDonald house. Bed and pillows were nice and comfortable, made for a great night sleep. Every staff member I spoke to was lovely, especially the housekeeping team. I hope to come back to Hobart one day and will choose this hotel again.

Ventilation in the bathroom - hopefully this is being addressed in the renovations currently taking place. Some noise one night from a chopper arriving at the hospital across the road, was not a big deal for me but light sleepers may struggle. This only happened once in a 4 night stay and other than that, there was minimal noise.

Great facilities & location near the city & Dock

The staff were exceedingly helpful, when we arrived. The booking.com site had indicated we would have at least a microwave in our Queen room, however upon enquiring Mantra informed us that such was only available in a one-bedroom apartment. We were thoroughly thankful & delighted when the Mantra reception staff upgraded us to an apartment with no question as we were there for several days due to a hospital admission

Terrible service

Parking was easy

Went for breakfast at 8am to be told can't be seated for an hour as a large sporting group had the entire space. We booked a rate including breakfast. Very poor communication from the staff, if we were advised on checkin we would have arranged our plans differently. We were unable to wait, no apology offered by staff and no offer of reimbursement.

Great base for a few days while I worked and my wife touristed. Comfortable room. Good desk. Close to the action once I finished work.

Wifi ran out twice - both times during meetings. Perhaps a greater download limit next time.

Good, would probably not stay here again

Was a good location, staff were friendly

Fan didn’t work in the bathroom, parking was not mentioned as a chargeable amount nor was it explained to us that it was $18 for a 24 hour period so we ended up going over by 20 minutes and had to pay $24. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

We were happy with our stay at Mantra Collins and would recommend it to our friends.

The Mantra Collins location in central Hobart is excellent and the discount parking at the multi storey car park immediately behind the hotel is a good feature. The reception staff were exceptional in attending to our needs. The room was clean; with good quality towels and face washers and the bed very comfortable. The room was quiet and we slept well every night.

Fantastic Stay.

Our stay at Mantra was excellent. The location is great, closer to everything including shopping centre and food stores. We did not even need our car, we could walk to all the close-by attractions and food venues. We got a one bedroom apartment and a king room and the hotel upgraded us from the King room to the one bedroom apartment which was fantastic. The room was very clean, spacious, bed was very comfortable. They also included breakfast in the price. I had poked eggs, avocados and smoke salmon and a pot of tea for breakfast and it was FREE (all included in the room price already). Definitely will come back next time we are in Hobart. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Mantra.!

the only thing is the parking. it’s next door at $18 for 24hrs I think there should be a better deal done with the parking management.

The hotel does not have complimentary parking - there is only street parking if you're lucky. The other option is to park at a 24 hrs parking facility close by, for around $18 per day.

Perfect location and breakfast

We caught the bus from the airport and got off at the first city stop, walked to the hotel. The location was fabulous - close to the city and the harbour. The breakfast included in the tariff was amazing. Great coffee! We had a view from level 10 of the harbour which was lovely.
