A Wonderful Experience

Wonderful hosts in a lovely home, comfortable room with all the amenities, excellent breakfast, great location. Closest to Dover Castle and easy walk from train station or ferry.

Nothing took away from our good experience here. Highly recommended!

Cozy stay in the heart of Dover

Amazing stay! The owners were a lovely welcoming couple, the room was bigger than expected, the breakfast was hearty and prepared fresh. We would definitely come back and stay again!

The TV was at an odd angle and we had to move it around a bit, but it was on a rolling platform so it wasn't too bad.

We loved our stay and we would and have recommended Caste House to our friends that are planning on visiting Dover.

We loved the location. The friendliness of the owners and their attention to detail. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. A vey important factor for us was bringing our dog and it met all of our expectations for being dog friendly.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Room was lovely. Central to shops and restaurants.

Host dogs were an issue. For a pet friendly place, no garden for a quick toilet trip. Have stayed in much better places for half the money. No help offered to carry luggage upstairs. £50-£60 a night is a more realistic rate

Lovely comfortable stay

Location perfect close to town and castle and lovely pub on the next corner. Owners friendly and helpful, our dogs loved there nights sleep .

No Parking.... but managed to find a place to park across from the hotel on castle hill .

A lovely bedroom, dog-friendly. coffee making facilities.

The breakfast was too greasy. Also I thought £20 was too much for payment for bringing the dog for on night’s stay.

For my purposes the location, comfortable room and excellent breakfast were all good value for money

I was travelling as a foot passenger to France and the ferry was an easy 10 minute walk, so for me an excellent location. The full English breakfast was freshly prepared, not just pre-cooked and left on a hot plate, and it was delicious, one of the best breakfasts I have eaten in a hotel.

Very very pleasant.

Great made to order breakfast with good choices. Really nice room, large, view and very comfortable. Nice bathroom. Convenient to "downtown" and to a good pub. Very helpful hosts - we had a couple of requests re: Covid test results and getting a taxi which they answered.

Not handicap accessible but not something we needed but someone else might. Stairway to get to second story narrow and winding. Again, not a problem for us and they carried our luggage upstairs! So, I can't really say this is something we didn't like as it was not a problem for us. Would certainly stay here again.

Very nice house, very kind persons. Very good breakfast, even for a veggie and glutenfree as me. They gave me good counsel for eating outside in the evening. Very clean and nice.

Great location for ferry, good nights sleep in comfy room

Location was excellent for getting ferry early in the money. Free car parking on road outside. Room was lovely and clean, sadly we weren’t able to have breakfast due to early ferry. Ample supply of tea and coffee Stayed in attic room so lovely and quiet, great nights sleep - comfy beds

The breakfast was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel or guest house. Good location for visiting the castle and town, very close to an excellent pub too.

Absolute Perfection

This place was so much more than my wife and I could ever have imagined. We loved the location, just being down the hill from Dover castle and just a little ways from the beaches. We loved the room, it was picture perfect! Our host gave amazing recommendations and the breakfast was to die for. We will be recommending this place to everyone that we know will be in the area and we hope to be back soon.

I only had a small room by request, which would be tight for anyone other than single occupancy but, all things considered good value accomodation.

Breakfast and the owners were amazing! The room was also cozy.

The heater was not turned on so the room was a bit chilly.
