The friendliness of John and J and hospitality provided by them. They run an extremely efficient service. Extremely friendly and the food was lovely and freshly cooked all locally sourced. The golden girls had a great stay/ fond memories. Watch out john and J we will be back. See you next time in your Ayrshire establishment! The welsh and Scottish girls!
Nothing, Everything was what we expected

Traditional accommodation, the hosts were very nice and welcoming. Food was great and so were the drinks, plenty of choice of whisky. If you have time the host can sort/recommend some activities to do while around and if you are into fishing he owns a large property of a river and can sell you a license to fish in it and give recommendations. I will be back one day foe that
Nothing. Some people might think the building and decoration is outdated but it is it's charm and what makes it traditional. I wouldn't want it different and wouldn't change it. The food menu in the pub doesn't have any prices nor there is a price on the drinks you can see without asking.

The location was convenient to break our journey and visit Killin.
The hotel decor inside and out was at best 'tired'. There was no chef so we had to drive out again after a long days travelling to get dinner. Particularly frustrating as I selected this hotel mainly because food sounded good and the location.
Breakfast was the smallest cooked breakfast I have ever had at a hotel.

Property history was key to booking! Loved how the room was decorated, huge windowsill to sit in and look over the amazing scenery. Amenities were all there- shower nice and warm. Really loved the pub/breakfast area - fire in the evenings so cozy. Great owners- helpful and nice! Hope to stay again sometime 😀 Liked being out in the country-Pictures of the property in a rainy dark night looked cozy and welcoming-exactly what it is
Older facilities are well maintained but the bed was not as comfortable as expected and quite creaky with any movement.

Owners very friendly. Breakfast was good, but no choice other than cooked breakfast. No juice or cereal available. Bedding was very clean.
Very creaky bed, thin walls could hear next room talking, noisy pipes on central heating knocking all the time, tea and coffee not refilled. Lightning in bar way too bright, needs better ambiance. No evening meals available.

The host, Sue was very friendly and welcoming. The room was a reasonable size but was at the front next to a road which, although in the middle of the countryside had a fair amount of traffic passing by. The bed was comfortable. The shower room was very small, but clean. There was a limited choice on the menu for dinner, especially as we were told there was no chicken available so we were limited to what we could choose which was pretty average, As for breakfast, it was a cooked, which was very basic, e.g. no mushrooms, or something on toast! No juice, unless you asked for it, no cereal. Not exactly value for money! Wouldn't stay here again.
Lack of choice for dinner and breakfast. Noisy room at times due to passing traffic.
