Location was excellent
Our room was at the back of the hotel in the cottages- was disappointed that our room did not have an on suite bathroom- this was outside in a tiny corridor with a separate door and right next to another room- the shower was downstairs - I had an 85 year old who has dementia with me so this was not a good sep up and not what I expected when I booked

This was the worst experience ever. The room was not clean, the staff were very hostile to receiving constructive feedback and requested we leave.
This hotel was falsely advertised. We were allocated a room in a building on an adjacent street. The hotel manager requested we leave or he would call the police. Entirely unacceptable customer service.

Nothing much
No staff, no check in, no breakfast facilities, no dining facilities, lack of checking in and out information

We didn’t actually stay at The Waterfront due to weather, we stayed at their sister hotel, The Harbour House next door so this review is for this hotel.
Nothing

The location is brilliant. The room was quite small but as we only needed a place to sleep it was no great issue. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great
The only issue was that there was no evening meals being served as the chef was off. Again no great deal cos the other hotels were serving food in the evening.

The location
That when we arrived it was closed and a note on the door saying that they had mi we is to another hotel. Went to that hotel they put up on the top floor my husband has disabilities the room was no good and not what we booked. They said we could stay in the closed hotel on our own and go back to that hotel for breakfast. They were rude and unhelpful. It’s shameful the way they treated people with disabilities owner was shocking. We never recommend anyone booking this hotel as you will probably not stay there as this happens often so they said ……..

Excellent sea view. Room fairly modern comfortable bed. Food very good
Cold shower. Despite ensuring power on andvrunnong shower at highest heat. Bathroom tiny hard to negotiate facilties no lift mobility issues made dealing with stairs difficult. Having to walk to another hotel to get breakfast and dinner ln poor weather

Excellent hospitality and friendly locals. The bar food was really tasty, and most importantly, they allow dogs. Mine was truly spoiled with treats from the locals!
The hotel is a great find and our room was super. The only things I would say would be that there was a scorched iron mark on the floor of our bedroom, so perhaps the carpet needs replaced? Also, the LED light was BRIGHT on the TV and I had to put my coat over it, to block out the light so that I could sleep. The light on the outside landing was also on through the night and shone under the door.

I loved the seafront location, staff were over and above especially the lady who searched high and low for a heater for our room. It was 3 degrees outside last night so the room felt like very cold too especially after a shower. Plus we didn’t notice a radiator in the bathroom. Breakfast Girl was amazing doing the job of two people normally, hats of to her sterling service too!!! Breakfast area and cafe area very beautifully done but rooms a huge let down. Needs Major Refurbishment to bring up to todays standards, no chair even in the rooms and no curtains to keep out the light at night.
Well where do we start on the too
Faulty towers come freezing come mouldy silicone in the showers, broken shower door cracked basin in the bathroom, freezing bathroom floors to almost rotten Timbers in skylight I guess from no extractor installed in the bathroom. Room 18 btw. Oh did I mention majority of their rooms aren’t even attached to the hotel they are in adjacent little terrace that was once houses I’m guessing. Ok if they had let you know this in advance and you were pre warned.

A lovely place . ..
The Food was A1 prepared by a top class chief - simply delicious.
The Hotel had a classy feel to it but we opted to stay in an adjoining cottage garden room with with our little dog, which we found comfortable , .and ideal for our needs.
We liked everything about the Hotel .

Great location, friendly and helpful staff and a tasty breakfast with great coffee
The rooms are very small but I knew that from other reviews.

Staff were friendly, we ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was lovely. Beds were comfortable, and due to taking part in a race and therefore having an early start / missing breakfast, the hotel left out fruit, yoghurt and water for us to take on checkout.
The only very small criticism, would be that the bathroom was very small and very close to the bed. However, for the night we stayed, it was manageable.

The breakfast was lovely although mistakes were made with the customer specific order.
Not a major thing but staff, despite being very lovely, lacked a bit of experience which reflected in attentiveness and minor errors in breakfast orders.

The location was excellent, we upgraded to a sea view room. The member of staff who welcomed us was lovely and again in the morning he was apologetic as he was also having to cook the breakfasts, seat the guests and deal with a fire alarm.
Bedrooms are outdated, bar was closed before 10pm on a Saturday night. Very expensive for the quality of room and service.

We did not have breakfast
The facilities were no bigger than a cupboard. This was not on their website as how small they were. Bed was about 2 feet away from the toilet. You sit on the toilet and my husband could not close the door. Room was a disgrace again I had sit on the bed to pass my husband we left after one night could not stand it any longer. For the money we paid it was a disgrace. We would like a refund of 2nd night. Staff promptly told us even before we checked in there was no room cleaning which was not good management.

Clean...Nice staff...food very good ...good value
Didn't find out till after booking that hotel was still on winter time and dinner was in a building a short walk away. Was not really a problem for us but might have been if raining or with friend less able who would have had a real problem. Room not in hotel...short walk round corner in separate building. Feel I should have been told these facts before booking. Food was lovely. Better than we expected for price. Hotel itself in a great location. Staff were all very nice. I would use this hotel again. Great value.

Location and Seaview.
Not being advised until check in that the restaurant was closed until May and that the bar would only be serving bottled beers when it was open, which was sporadic.
Only 1 bulb in the shower room working which was over the shower, therefore making it difficult to shave.
This was my 2nd visit, but don't think there will be a 3rd.
