Lovely place to stay in queenstown

Overall the accommodation was lovely and very evident upgrades had been made.

The room was lovely but it did have a very unpleasant smell like cat wee that was very present throughout the stay. The bunk beds also need to be tightened and rails added so they are child safe.

Location OK.

Door was warped so I had to really shove it to close it. As a single female, I did not feel safe in the room with a door like that. The bathroom basin taps were so tight that I couldn't turn on the hot tap. When I managed to turn on the cold tap, I couldn't turn it off. The room felt cheap and I am not referring to the modest price. I booked and paid for 2 nights but decided one night was more than I could tolerate. Needed a high rise pillow for side sleepers.

Good value for money

Met our expectations from advertised: good value for money for 2 bedroom motel, cosy with heat pump, room has fridge with basic cooking facilities (microwave, single hob, toaster/grill, crockery etc), good location can walk to town.

Only virtual reception but easy key collection and drop off. Hair drier didn't work and microwave had bad burnt smell making foot smell too. Dated but I would expect this for price

Check-in and check out process was easy. The phone receptionist was quickly and helpful. Electric blanket is available and warm on every bed. The price is reasonable for the facilities. Cheap but still can give you the comfort for the night. It's ok for 1 night stopover.

Only have the very very basic kitchen utensils available. Not sure if the room is cleaned properly

Budget lodging that is clean and comfortable.

My stay at Mountain View Motel went smoothly. It's budget lodging. No insurmountable issues to report. Check-in was virtual (over the phone), which made me relieved I had a travel SIM and a strong signal. Parking was easy. Everything was clean and functioned as expected. Communication was clear. I slept well there. Easy come, easy go. If I found myself back in the area, I'd most likely return.

Wifi was unreliable. I resorted to using my phone as a hotspot, which worked well.

Check when booking that you dont book for Queenstown New Zealand.

After a journey of 4.5 hours across Tasmania, we realized that we had booked accommodation in Queenstown NZ This was all that was available .

the room looked nothing like the pictures online. my room seemed very old, cold and dirty. there was a random piece of wood with rusty nails hanging out of it against one wall, the door looked like it had been forced open and then the pieces just glued back together. didn’t end up staying the night as I didn’t feel safe at all

A perfect location for a short stay

The location is superb: easy to find, a short walk from the city centre

We didn't have any issues, but the tourists who came at the same time as us couldn't get in touch with the reception: the mobile connection was a bit shaky and no one was manning the office. Luckily, our phone worked and we helped them as well.

Good low budget stay

Great value for money, parking right at the room door. Clean, fluffy towels in the family room.

The backpacker room we rented had a very strong mouldy smell. It’s very clear the hotel runs two levels of service (which we both experienced combining a backpacker and motel room)

Wonderful if they fix a little issue :)

Basically i loved that place because it was spacious and no other people there. Only thing which kept me from a 10 star rating were the annoying beeping fire alarms in several of the other locked rooms nearby, they each beeped every like 60 seconds Beautiful location, plenty of parking Good to know: If you book a 'Single Dorm room' its not a dorm room you share with other people but a private room. They may call it dorm because its shared bathrooms. @Owner: Other accommodations would call it like - (Budget) Single room with shared bathroom - (Budget) Twin room with shared bathroom - (Budget) Doubble room with shared bathroom You would probably get more bookings with that naming..

Reasonable price for an average 2 bedroom unit

We stayed here as it was around the corner from Queenstown railway station where we were catching the 9.00am steam train. We were close to Empire pub where we had a nice dinner.

Unfortunately the kettle was faulty and we couldn't make coffee at night or the morning.

The effort the owners had put into make the place look nice. Good price.

No human to manage the reception. Clearly, when guests are expected to check in, the reception needs to have someone there. Providing a phone number is not good hospitality. We had to ask the shops to make a call as we didnt have a sim. Other guests helped us. We couldnt get into the room for these reasons, for about 2 hours, then it was getting dark.

Everything I expected

The unit was clean and roomy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I loved the artwork at the end of the buildings and if we had been staying longer would have made use of the camp kitchen.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get the Tv to change stations but not a lot of good reception in that area anyway.
