The owner is very nice and wants to help
The common area is nice
The dorm smelled a lot (humidity) so all your clothes were the same if you leave them out of your bag
The room should be cleaned because there are spiders and dust under the beds…
finally, the mattresses could be changed because they have been enough used

I liked Sarah so much, such a sweet host with lots of creative ideas and vision for young backpackers. Great location; lush green mountain and a lot of activities in the area.

It was the right price value.
No hot water in shower.

Excellent staff, like to be in your own family!
Good position, temperature, fruit from the garden, the visit of hummingbirds every morning, hamaca.

Kitchen was very well stocked! Enough mugs and plates, pots and pans for everyone to cook with! Also, loves the baskets they put in the kitchen for people to store their stuff as well as the bathroom baskets. And the different options for hikes and waterfalls with the directions already printed out! Definitely visit the watering hole, Rio Macho is the nicest river to swim in in all of Costa Rica.
Upstairs bathroom never got restocked with toilet paper but it's ok cause the downstairs ones were always stocked and perfect.

The best thing was that they had made booklets for their guests with ideas of what to do and recommendations and just very useful information and they had written and printed out many treks and routes you could do.
Also, everything was clean and the common area very nice, everybody usually hung out there after coming back from their days trip. The kitchen is nice too. The whole hostel is quite small but that makes it so relaxed and chill.
The window didn't have a view, it went outside and half a meter further there was a big wall. The second window went into the hallway. So naturally the room wasn't very well lit by daylight. But who wants to be in the room when the common area is so nice anyways?

Great room and facilities, super friendly staff/owners and helpful. Easy to get around , lots to do and see . Great area .

Warm welcome, well equipped kitchen, good amount of toilets/showers, clothing lines inside the dorm, free coffee
Nothing was really clean-clean. I noticed upon arrival that all tables were dirty and the pillows on the chairs had a good amount of animal hair on them. The top bunk beds in the dorm were sprinkled with debris from the roof and/or lizzard poo, same goes for the shelves in the bathrooms. It can easily be improved by cleaning and wiping down everything more regularly.

Great place for the hostel traveler. Clean, safe, well equipped kitchen with eating and lounge area. The owners and staff were there as much or as little as you wanted them to be. They were super helpful, when I needed it. Good wifi. Written recommendations of places to see and bus schedules posted. Very convenient to town, markets, food, bank, pharmacy 3 short blocks away. Great pizza a block away. They offer laundry service or a place to hand wash your own. Very well organized and comfortable beds with good lighting. I'll definitely come back here when I return to the area.
Only thing annoying that I consider part of hostel life is town dogs barking at night. Not any fault of the owners and most people in hostels know to bring ear plugs. If you forget, they can be purchased at the pharmacy in town.

Nice guesthouse with friendly owners. There's a shared kitchen, cool shady common area, enough toilets and showers. They even have a fire-heated tube/pool, which we happily used one night with other guests. We had come earlier so the dormitory we'd booked was not ready yet. The owner immediately offered us a small, windowless, but cozy double room for the same price.
The shared kitchen and bathrooms could be cleaner.
