Enjoyable, comfortable for the most part with the most enjoyable meal we've had in a while.

Excellent meal and friendly staff. The owner was very helpful and accommodating

Noisy fridge (sounded like gun shots from time to time, at night too) , no door between bedroom and bathroom for privacy

Namibian hospitality and experience at its best

The whole experience at Vastrap was excellent. The host made us feel welcome from the beginning. The room was clean, well equipped and more than up to standard. The WiFi signal was exceptional and stable throughout our stay. We had both breakfast and dinner,both was value for money and served with finesse. Thank you for your hospitality.

There is really nothing I would have changed.

Wonderfully surprised

We were surprised with this venue. We have stayed a few times at another establishment on the B1 in Grunau, but thought we would try something new. You have to turn down from the B1 but luckily it is not too far from the B1. They have a really nice swimming pool area which was nice as we arrived on a very hot day. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. They offered dinner but we decided to BBQ as we had a self catering unit as well as a double room. We could buy wood and ice from them. We were offered drinks at the pool. Only discovered the lapa with the restaurant and bar the next morning when we went for breakfast. Really nice area. Breakfast was amazing with lovely fruit grown on the farm. The service was really good. Self Catering unit was very big and had everything that we required. We will definitely stay here again.

The aircon in our unit didn't work well, so it was a bit hot. lots of bugs outside when you BBQ, had to cover everything. But then that said... it is nature and should be expected.

Pleasant

They had a pool, dining and bar areas. The room had an Aircon in it.

There were so many mosquitoes in our room it was difficult to sleep and get rid of them. Not what we needed travelling 2000km over 2 days.

Ideal location for a stop-over when traveling from South Africa to Namibia

Friendly and accommodating owner and staff. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast

It is not that clear on booking.com that some rooms are not self-catering. The establishment expected us for dinner, but we had planned on having a braai. The owner was very accommodating and we did braai. Just make sure exactly what you are booking. The room we stayed in had a lot of mosquitoes.

Superb

We did not stay for breakfast as we had a selfcatering unit. We loved the fact that the owners supplied us with meat to braai with on arrival. We had a barbeque in the entertainment area which is usefull as the weather was not great for an outside fire.

Kitchen sink was very low and the tap was loose which made it awkward to operate.

wonderful place…. want to go again!

absolutely superb, chalet no. 1, huge rooms, massive open plan lounge, kitchen, dining, bar & indoor braai. 2 bedrooms, both en suite. scrupulously clean. owner did a fantastic dinner for me (vegan) and my brother (omnivore). the breakfast was just as good, best vegan breakfast I have ever had in South Africa. cannot praise this establishment enough! wish we could have stayed more than one night. the stars at night were phenomenal, so many. and a full moon. fabulous place.

I cannot think of a single thing I disliked!

It was wonderful staying over at Vastrap Guest Farm. What a lucky choice!

We loved the serene farm atmosphere, the comfortable accommodation and the friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts and their staff. The meals served were delicious. I would recommend Vastrap Guest Farm to anybody visiting Namibia.

Good stop-over when travelling from South Africa to visit the Fish River Canyon

Good stop-over when travelling from South Africa to visit the Fish River Canyon. Room was very spacious, clean and tidy.

We wouldn't liked a double bed, as we asked for it in our booking, but received two twin beds. The owner was a little bit rude when we phoned to say we were going to arrive late due to issues crossing the border. Nonetheless, her husband received us around 20:30 and assisted us to find our room.
