The location
Property was very damp, beds were cold and damp ok first arrival, hot tub didn’t look clean and the whole place could do with a good scrub/bleach as black mould on several places.
3.0
The area was nice, the pool facilities were good (outside pool is small and was only open from 2.30) everything could do with an upgrade and some TLC.
The pub food was nice.
The lodge needs some serious upgrades and a refresh and a good clean. When we arrived there was a dirty wet towel in the downstairs toilet (note there is only 1 tiny shower usable for the whole lodge) and the decking is dangerous, numerous times we tripped on loose decking boards and the stairs are dangerous with loose floor boards too. The beds are uncomfortable and it would be nice to have a fan upstairs in the main bedroom as it was still reaching 27 degrees in the evenings.
The lodge next to us was having work done so during the day it was noisy if we were at the lodge. The water pipes were noisy in the downstairs bedrooms.
We had to ring for the code to the lodge as the one provided didn't work and when phoning a few different numbers when we finally spoke to someone they didn't even know there was any bookings for that week and we had to confirm we had booked through booking.com.

Very nice set up, great value for money, in a good location, ideal for what our group wanted which was a weekend away
Only one thing and that’s if I was being super picky was the water pressure for shower was great but this is expected from electric shower
