Breakfast and dinner very good
We found the room was too small and especially with a dog as well.
We didn’t like the fact there was no en suite.
4.2
Full of character, very clean, friendly staff, great food, beautiful village setting with its own castle, great location for visits around the area
Our room was very small and the shower also was too small for adults really with a high step in and out of it. The beds were very soft. I think we were in the smallest room, other rooms are much bigger but weren’t available when we booked.
4.2
A beautiful hotel but not easy to find. Good hosts and nice atmosphere.
Internet connection was poor
4.2
Beautiful village location. River and an old castle with a moat. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. Good to have parking too.
The mattress was a little soft for our liking.
4.2
Breakfast was banging
Mattress was a bit old
4.2
The whole experience apart from booking the double room with the external bathroom but that was my fault for not looking into it properly but it wasn’t actually that bad. I was just a little conscious about not going to the toilet too late.
Nothing

Lovely old inn. our room was towards the back with very pretty views
nothing, we had a lovely time thanks

Beautifully decorated property , lovely area. Breakfast was very good , although would have liked brown bread instead of white.
Had a problem with the shower , it flooded the bathroom floor .I think it needs some attention .
4.2
the room was very homely
shower drain didn’t drain quickly so thought shower was gonna over flow

Lovely stay
Not enough plug sockets in room but a small gripe
4.2
the staff were welcoming and helpful , the food was great
Wi-Fi not working, not the staff’s fault but made it difficult at times
4.2
V friendly staff, good sized room, nice restaurant.
Some unavailability for food both at dinner and breakfast and unfortunately the WiFi was down ( not the pubs fault but frustrating).
4.2
Great location having been at the centreparcs spa.
The welcome was really warm. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. And breakfast was delicious. It was a perfect stay.
nothing.
4.2
we booked The Castle room which was spacious and comfortable with a lovely tiled bathroom
nothing

The age of property
I overlooked we’d only get a bath in our room.
4.2
Very attractive property in a very pretty setting. Staff very helpful.
4.2
Excellent location, only a few yards from the castle. Room was very clean, Pretty village.Attractive decor. Good centre for touring, Cheerful, hard working staff. Pleasant gardens,
Very limited times for dining. As a result we only used the dining room once for our evening meal. Fairly expensive restaurant. Limited areas for relaxing. Only on small area which was often occupied by staff. The toilets were cleaned during breakfast. As a result there was a strong smell of disinfectant wafting into the breakfast room. Basic breakfast. No fruit and the same cereals every day. Crunchy nuts, chocolate coco pops and weetabix. The plates piled up on our table as on no occasion were they cleared. Excellent cooked breakfast.Tea and hot chocolate were only replenished once during our stay. These are minor issues, easily fixed, and did not spoil our stay.

Great staff, decent food, idyllic village location.

The location was excellent as we we’re going to Longleat the following day.The Breakfast was very good.
The Breakfast was really nice but did take along time. The dinner was disappointing in that there was a lot of items not available. Also the Sea bass not great. As for the Room there was a lot of noise around and about outside ie music continuous from another Room and also from the Kitchen area.Car park not great for the amount of rooms.

Breakfast was v. good wonderful selection and service excellent,
Dinner was delicious. Again great selection and the service from Natalie was exceptional. Thank you Natalie!
If we needed to stay in the area again would definitely try to book at The George.

The bathroom and room were lovely - the breakfast was very good.
When booking, the bookings.com allocated a room but we were later contacted to say it wasn’t a dog friendly room and we were moved. Bookings.com need to be clearer from the outset.
The room did smell a little of dog before we arrived with our dog!
4.2
lovely location. The staff friendly helpful and efficient
4.2
The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel was excellent.
The room was very basic. The decor was drab. The dark furniture including the bed was poor quality.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and splashed out on a sirloin steak which was chewy and the vegetables not cooked enough.
4.2
We couldn't eat breakfast as still full from the delicious evening meal served the night before, beautiful location, quiet and full of rural character.
4.2
Great location in a very pretty little village. Nicely furnished and comfortable bedroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. The castle, which is just opposite, is a must to visit.
The restaurant was dull, couldn’t see out the windows as they had (rather dirty) big wooden Venetian blinds. The meal was mediocre as the fish was greasy and I didn’t feel very well after eating it.
4.2
The breakfast choice was simply brilliant. I chose a smoked salmon and cream cheese omelette which was cooked to perfection and my partner poached egg, salmon and hollandaise on a muffin.
Afterwards we explored the chuch and castle. Nunney is a delightful village with little through traffic.
Nothing!

We ate lunch in the pub on arrival & it was excellent.
Our room was very quaint.
Breakfast was huge & very tasty!
The staff were all exceptionally friendly & helpful.
The furniture in our room was a bit of a mix-match! It was a shame because with a bit more attention to those sort of details, it would've looked so much better.
