Our purpose was to explore the other side of the Island - so the included kayaks and snorkel Equipment and Location was Great!
Absolutely fantástic is Tera , the Manager of the Dive Shop!
Staff at the hotel seemed rather uninterested in their guests, would be nice to feel a little more welcomed/ attended to
Tuktuk was not waiting at dock as promised
Skipped breakfast b/c of strong smell of old fat from kitchen ; asked for a coffee and received a mug filled to the edge of what seemed cheap warmed up coffee. With a good manager and staff training these are minor things that can easily be improved - facilities and location are perfect for those who want to be outside of town

Safe
My door lock was broken so I could not lock my door from the outside. Repeatedly the air in my room stopped. The water available was warm. The tile in the bathroom was broken. Took a long time to get hot water for shower. There was no one at desk by 915 so I tried hiking back to town with my luggage. A guy stopped and gave me a ride part way. All in all pretty bad. Stay there only if you have no other alternative.

Snorkel reef location is great; staff indifferent; room sucks with broken floor tiles; partially disrupted view
See above- rooms falling apart; place feels like it hadn’t been kept up or modernized in forty yrs

The food was excellent!
The staff were attentive and friendly.
Coral View has some issues that come with an older hotel. But the staff work quickly to resolve any problems that arise.

The views, pool. sheets and towels very clean.
Rooms are outdated and no hand soap. it didn’t really feel like a resort.

Loved the location and the friendly staff. Staff was helpful with any questions.
Very low water pressure in the shower. I am sure that is because of water savers because of the availability of water on the island.

Food in the restaurant was good but lacking in variety
Beds were to hard. Location is too far from eveything

lovely dock and very quiet, free snorkels and find and masks and great price this time of year
it’s really too far from town to enjoy the town unless you rent an overpriced motorised vehicle

Despite it is a bit far from the town center, the location is amazing, one of the best in Utila with the Coral Reef accessible from the hotel. The town is also at a walking distance by the sea. The team is very nice, specially Cecilia and Henry took good care of me and were extremely helpful.
It might be a bit overpriced with other places compared to what they offer.
Reception check-in/check-out could also be improved.

clean and comfortable.
In need of some upgrading. No fridge in room.

The view at the front, the coral reef right in front of the property with good access to the water, the ladies who worked in the bar, WiFi and shower good, transfer from the port. Room small but comfy.
The state of the bathroom, missing tiles, very rusty tap and fittings not pleasant to look up. The second pool is neglected and a waste of space. Could do with more comfy furniture in the pool area. Breakfast is a disaster. You can only have ‘typical’, no fruit or choice. We asked for fried egg on toast we’re told OK but still got scrambled from the ‘typical’ menu. It would be so easy to offer basics like eggs, pancakes and put a toaster in the restaurant. In addition the Waiter listens to his phone behind the bar so loudly you can’t hear the music from the speaker. If this was a budget hostel fine but it was very expensive!

This is exactly what we were looking for. A boutique hotel on the beach (with a beach bar). The best place for snorkeling on the island. We saw more creatures while snorkelinng then divinng! Also sunrice and sunsets exquisite! Comfortable large beds. We had a view of the sea and a terrace where we could relax nicely. Hotel restaurant very good. Ceviche and caracole definitely must try. We absolutely recommend.
Rooms large, but under-equipped: no refrigerator, glasses, kettle. Mosquitoes and other insects in the room - repellents would be useful :) Just in case, it is better to be equipped with these things.

They wouldn’t serve us at the restaurant even though we came at times they specified. They fought feeding us the breakfast that the booking promised us.We had kids and the location is very far from alternative food. We were promised a paid for ride from the ferry that never showed. We had to walk 45 min in the rain with all of our baggage.
The staff was very rude and talked trash about each other. Probably to move blame around

Location: Great, quiet area, not that far away from the city centre.
Charming staff and delicious food with vegan options on the menu.
In the price of the hotel you can rent scuba diving equipment, kayaking, etc.
Pier. The resort has also a good size pier with two swimming pools, top roof deck and the bar.
Personally I would give the pier a fresh paint, some net curtains and lights around the lounge beds and easily call the place 5 stars resort :)
No tea available for breakfast. No other dislikes.

nice place but unless you are part of diving course it is a 20min walk into town. quiet location.
generally the facility is overpriced for the quality. It is not a luxury hotel. The restaurant is very expensive. A basic breakfast was included. I was offered pineapple juice which I accepted. When I went to check out I was charged for the two glasses of juice as it was not included in the breakfast. For the cost of the room it seemed rather cheap of them to charge me.

The Coral View Hotel is located at one end of the main road in Utila. If you are looking for a quieter place out of town (where the parties happen) then this is a good place for you. The facilities are good ie you can snorkel off their dock directly onto a reef and they have the reef bar to enjoy a few drinks and two great swimming pools. We went scuba diving and the team led by Timmy provided a great experience over 3 boat dives.
The dinner menu in the restaurant is quite expensive - it needs to be better tiered. Not to worry though as there are numerous other great restaurants you can walk to and enjoy.

great location for the water and free breakfast and snorkels

The location of the hotel was awesome. Just steps away to the wonderful snorkeling experience!! Beach bar was well stocked and had a great appetizer menu
A place to hang your clothes. No hooks or closet to hang up wet clothes or even hang a shirt

I loved their food! The restaurant inside the resort is new and named Shell Del Mar. The included breakfast was great and a good portion, and I had the Lobster Surf & Turf for dinner which was my best meal I've had in all of Honduras! I also loved the bar on the ocean, the sunset there was amazing.
I was happy with everything! I wish they had oysters, the owner and his lovely fiancée were telling me they've been trying to find them and haven't been able to yet. I will definitely stay here again.

let me start up by saying this is the best place you will find in Utila!! Staff is super nice and attentive. The owner is really nice and he even took some time to help me order a surprise cake for my husband! Not many owners take time to make their customers feel
like home.
I loved that you can take water taxis from here, and I loved that they have 2 pools and a bar.
Rooms were clean, and they are updating many things around the facilities. Food is delicious, and drinks are also pretty good.
100% recommend this place, and if your not happy just talk to the staff, they will try their best to help!
The only thing I will say is that if you are going to eat in the restaurant, be prepared to wait a little for your food. Everything is made fresh, so we need to wait a little long, but food is worth the wait!
The other little thing is just the music choice, it would be nice to hear different types of music playing in the hotel or bar, however if you ask them to change the music that’s playing they will change it to your music choice, which is a plus!
