Lovely little place under new management. Staff really lovely and helpful. We are in the pub which was lovely and had a good pint too. Lovely beer garden.
Looking forward to what they do with the place to put their own stamp on it.

Location
Our room was very small , and a bit outdated !!

The beer garden, restaurant and dinner. The Champagne Room was great. Loved the shower
No breakfast. The water taps in the shower needed a good clean from limescale
2.0
Bed was comfortable and clean
‘Tired’, veneer lifting, water stains on wall, bathroom controls damaged, dirty patio furniture, no WiFi, no cooked breakfast

Only slept in room so did not use the pub.
Room was very tired and not in the best condition. Bedside lamps in dangerous condition. Bathroom lighting almost non-existent. Bathroom moldy.

Rooms need some updating

Welcoming and lovely old village pub with guest rooms. Good food but bit limited choice on menu. Cosy log fire in the bar area. Clean and warm room
Stains on bedroom carpet and bed a tad small for us.Great service at breakfast but it was a little overcooked.
5.0
The quality of fixtures and fittings in the room
Nothing - outstanding room

The owner was very friendly and helpful, as was the bar staff. The ale was good....the departure went well!
No vegetarion or fish option on menu although the website shows veggie and fish options.
So it was ham,egg and chips for my wife...without the ham (although a reduction in price was kindly given)
The chips seemed to be re-warmed, or perhaps were oven chips, otherwise just weird.
The mash seemed to be mash-get smash or otherwise just weird.
The squid was deep fried into a fossil like state.
The room was poorly hoovered and the dust collection down the back of the bedside table was strangely impressive.
The sound insulation between us and the room above was terrible, with a young couple returning to their room at around 11pm and then playing loud music and humping until 2am....we had to get up at 6am.

Lovely countryside and not near any roads
Friendly staff
It was fine for a couple of nights

Easy to park on the stone covered parking area in front of the property. Friendly greeting on arrival. Attentive staff showed me to my room. The room was spacious and bright! Furnishings useful, traditional style. Huge and very comfortable bed with high quality bedding. My room opened onto a little private courtyard style garden. Tv was easy to use and large.
Sadly I found the previous guests used towels still in the bathroom. The powerful shower, whilst delivering copious hot water was not fixed properly in its holder, so it completely drenched the entire bathroom plus my clothes and my hair. It needs a new fixing! There was no hairdryer available. The tea tray had the usual tea and coffee but no biscuits, which would have been nice. I was not able to stay for breakfast as I had transport issues and did not get back to my room until 3 am, so I overslept, then had wet hair to deal with!

Location is lovely, along a narrow country road. Nice and quiet area.
Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Room was very nice and I loved the big bouncy pillows.
Breakfast was lovely, with locally sourced produce and a selection of cereals and drinks.
Only down point would be that some of the bathroom fittings are looking a bit tired but still in working order.

It was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Really welcoming on arrival and throughout and nothing we asked was too much for them
The walls are fairly thin, to be expected with an old building. But it's depends on what room you are in and the other people staying there. As we were on the bottom floor the people above us were rather noisy.

The breakfasts were excellent served by a very friendly lady who went out if her way to welcome us and make our son's wedding weekend special.
The manager also friendly and helped us make the weekend special.
Food order slow on two occasions.

Exceptionally friendly staff, they let us have our room early at 3pm as we were going to a late concert locally! They provide a fantastic breakfast, we will be back for another stay! It is also dog-friendly which is a bonus!

Staff very helpful and supportive

The rooms aren't attached to the pub. Room was very comfortable. Bathroom very nice. Loved having a cafetiere in the morning (and brown sugar too!) Bedding was great quality and the bed was very comfortable. Loved having our own private patio off the bedroom. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The patio could do with a sweep as we were very aware of walking debris onto the carpet - this is just a minor observation.

Staff were amazing - really helpful and great local knowledge. Lovely room and pub in peaceful rural setting. Food was good.
Surprised for the price paid that my room wasn’t cleaned/ bed made/ glasses etc removed or cleaned each day.

Location was excellent
The manager mat was very helpful couldn’t of done enough
Nothing it was great
3.5
The staff were so friendly and very attentive, breakfast was superb and the location is beautiful.
The owners are quite new and so I’m sure the following issues will be resolved soon… The towel heater was faulty and stuck on a high heat and so made the whole suite too hot. The sink was cracked and so was the underside of the toilet seat and do need replacing, the extractor fan was not working. The TV was not working and we were told it was due to an issue with the satellite and the housekeeping needs more attention as the previous occupants half finished shower gel and shampoo were left in the shower and lots of cobwebs on ceiling.

a quaint pub with huge potential .
the room was well equipped .
nothing was very clean . our bedroom overlooked the bin area . no big deal but we got the impression that hygiène wasn’t their priority .

Loved the room and the balcony
Wasn't keen on the breakfast. The bacon was too fatty and the sausage was very big. Probably just not the same as we are used to at home.
