The comfortable bed
The room was stuffy and window couldn’t be opened enough. Dark. No wardrobe just rail. No drawers. Small cupboard. Advertised as delux but quite basic. No fridge or room service or breakfast ( we knew about that). No desk or work table.

Convenient location. Clean. Friendly and responsive staff

Parking at the hotel was convenient. Lovely hotel owner and staff. Room was large and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The place was modern, well furnished and quiet
Centrally located
Easy to reach
We have been offered an upgrade
There were pods for coffee machine, but no coffee machine, instant coffee instead
The curtains need improvement

Large car park on site. Modern room and decor. Nice outside area. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Nothing not to like. We had an excellent stay.

Bed very comfortable and Location and staff good.
Just far too small. Kept hitting our heads in bedroom and bathroom. You could only stand up straight underneath the apex of roof in the bedroom. Spent most of the time hunched over. The shower was far too small. We believed we had booked a spacious suite but infact it turned out to be a converted garage at the bottom of driveway. Downstairs where kitchen area, bathroom and shower are was just too narrow and couldn't relax at all in there. There is only 1 window which is a small skylight in the roof of the whole property.

Fantastic location, really friendly reception team & the bed was awesome. Best night sleep for a while. 100% recommend and hoping to stay again
Bathroom was quite small & the door to it wad sliding rather than a lock door so not much privacy. Luckily we've been together several years!!

Lovely place. Friendly, very helpful staff. Couldn't be more helpful would go above and beyond to help nothing is too much trouble for them. Loved our room cosy, clean and nice and quiet. Lovely facilities, just enough for what we needed. Beautiful location, well kept peaceful garden to enjoy. Nice car park felt secure there. Will be returning without a doubt.

From arriving to the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly team. We had arrived earlier than our check-in time, and the Hotel team took that on board, and got the room ready and available instantly. The owner was a very kind man, and very helpful to providing me with useful information about the local area, directions and helping with arranging dinner plans. He was also very attentive to my family and children, and made us feel very welcome and safe. We also, last minute decided to stay another night because we enjoyed it soo much, and he was very helpful in arranging that seamlessly. I will certainly be staying at No.5 Durley Rd again on my next visit to Bournemouth!
The hotel did not serve any food, but I didn't mind too much as there are many local places to grab food.

Cheap, clean accommodation. Fine for an overnight stay not spending too much time in the room. Room clean and looked recently refurbished.
Only one means of escape from upper floors. Not all doors marked ‘Fire Door Keep Locked’ within the staircase were secured, and the siting of an ice machine at the base of the only stairwell could probably be better positioned given it is the only means of escape.

Location was okay
Mattress was slanted one way no bath or really anything in the hotel was booking chocolate hotel and redirected to this one banister in the room covered in dust checked out early definitely one to avoid upon speaking to people they used to both be run by the same people but are no longer and this place has been getting worse since

Room was spotless... Host very helpful and welcoming... Parking adequate.
Unfortunately room was noisy.. Poorly soundproofed... Next door guests talking until very late.. Kept us awake!
Bathroom a little small.

Free easy parking on site.
good location walkable to town and beach
Air con in room
Room clean
Friendly host
The room was quite expensive but we did book late and it was a BH weekend so probably accounted for that and usually more reasonable.

- hair dryer was good.
- Staff were rude when we arrived and were not listening to the problem we had when trying to book in and there was nobody in reception.
- Hairs all over bedding and bugs in bed.
- couldn't open windows for fresh air so room very hot.
- cracks in bathroom sink.
- shower drain blocked so shower tray flooded.
- not good value for money at all.
- steam from shower warned could set off fire alarms as you couldn't open the windows.
- wouldn't have stayed here more than one night.

Excellent value for money, had parking, easy to find, convenient location, easy check-in, friendly staff.
Just lacking in the little refined touches that would make it 10/10, and the size of the room is a little on the small size - but perfect for a short weekend stay in Bournemouth!

Location was excellent, free parking was convenient (but avoid parking under the trees). Room was sufficient although felt like student accommodation.
Check in set up wasn't great, or maybe my experience of it wasn't the best it could have been.
As the bed faced the window the room would benefit from having a black out blind.
Fan on the same switch as the light in the bathroom. Annoying at night.

Location was fabulous. Apartment was clean.
No one to greet us. Had to phone for access. Basement room which wasn't a preference , bit tired. No staff at all or on site.

Location - close to beach and town. Free parking.
I stayed two nights and didn’t see a member of staff once, the building is unmanned most of the time and if you forget your key there is a £50 call out charge to let you in. The room smelt of paint (I think) but it definitely wasn’t freshly painted, so perhaps touched up, or another smell. The towels had lots of bleach marks over them. The bed was very uncomfortable, with a big dip on one side of the the mattress (room 4). The TV remote had no batteries in it, but as there was no staff, I was unable to ask for any.

The bed was comfortable
Plastic bins in public areas full of take-away food waste was there when we checked in at 3pm & still there at 12 noon the next day.
The loo roll holder fell to the floor when I touched it.
The loo flush kept running after it should have stopped as it couldn’t pop up due to green limescale clogged between the short & long flush buttons.
The electric shave light didn’t work.
The mirror lights above sink didn’t work.
The gentleman in next room made a phone call that started at midnight & he talked all night till 6.30am so my partner & I didn’t get a wink of sleep.
Tacky A4 laminated sheets of paper stuck to walls in public areas requesting ‘quiet please’
Laminated sheet of paper on door reminding guests to take keys when going out or. £50 call-out charge is demanded which seems unreasonable (maybe after 10pm) as the owner/manager had told us he only lived over the road.

The WiFi was quite useless
