Come visit this charming 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage near world renowned Whitepoint Beach . Located in Whitepoint Estates perfect for romance or with the kids. Enjoy your morning coffee while sitting on the deck listening to the birds and the ocean. Have a relaxing fire in the outside fire pit, have a swing . Lots of privacy but only a 10 minute scenic walk to White Point Beach Resort where you can use all the resort has to offer (as part of your stay at Shellot) including a pool,hot tub,sauna and also a game room with pool table , ping pong and more. Enjoy a drink at the bar , have a meal at the dinning room or relax and enjoy a spa treatment. Get in a some golf at Whitepoint's on site course . Take a drive along Nova Scotia's coast and take in the beauty or find a spot to do a little fishing if you want . Only 10 minutes to Liverpool for shopping .
Hot tub / paddle boats / spa / pool ( indoor n outdoor)/ sauna / restaurant / ATM / weight room / games room are all at Whitepoint lodge 5 min drive and or a 10 minute walk (Due to Covid 19 some services not available ) ... 15 minutes to shopping. Check in at 4 pm ....check out at 10 am

Great cottage to stay at, walking distance to white point resort through a small pedestrian bridge (does not show up on google maps though). Very clean and very quite! Great spot to relax at

Several miles drive on rutted gravel roads to reach cottage. All furnishings are pretty worn, but the beds are comfortable. The bunk bed squeaks so loudly at the slightest movement that it must awaken any sleepers. Bathrooms are clean but small, tired and outdated. Kitchen has basic stuff.Multiple different flooring types, each room seemed to have different cheap linoleum except for the deeply scratched solid pine floors in living area and hall. Decor is mostly yard sale stuff, mismatched and not very attractive. Interior painting on a couple of the walls appeared to have been left not completed. Host was very responsive when a fuse blew (because we used hair dryer in one bathroom at same time as ceramic electric heater in the other bathroom). Will probably look for a better quality place for our next stay.

Very quaint. Three good sized bedroom. Lots of living space. Easy kitchen to work in. Great wrap around deck so you can follow the sun or hide from it.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at your lovely and spacious cottage again this year .Nightly campfires with roasted marshmallows were so much fun . The grandchildren had a wonderful time with all that White Point resort has to offer …games room, indoor pool ,pickleball courts and kayaking . The beautiful sandy beach is always a bonus too . This was our second time staying in Janet and Greg’s cottage. It was very spacious and was extremely well equipped. It was ideal for our 3 generation family and it was great to use the amenities at Whitepoint Resort ( pool, beach, etc) and then come back to relax on the deck or BBQ in such a peaceful setting. We are sorry this is the last summer they are renting their cottage as all of us (adults and children) have enjoyed it here immensely. Hats off to the Corkum’s who have been such awesome hosts!

This was our first trip to Nova Scotia and it was the perfect location and the house was exactly what we needed. We traveled with 3 kids ages 2, 3, and 4. We had most meals in but spent most our time Enjoying the outdoors. We especially loved visiting Summerville and Carters beach. We also took advantage of some activities at white point. Absolutely beautiful place and I enjoyed some Peaceful walks around!

Janet was extremely responsive and the property was clean and had everything we needed. Location was awesome and it was a beautiful setting! Enjoyed sitting on the deck while drinking my morning coffee. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

We (5 Ladies) stayed in this cottage for 2 nights for my mother's 70th birthday. We all had an amazing time. The cottage, though a little outdated, was extremely clean, and had everything you need. The king and queen beds were very comfortable. The bunk beds were good for smaller people or kids. When you sit on the patio you can hear the waves crashing. This cottage is a 10 min walk to Whitepoint Beach resort. ⛱️ We used the facilities at Whitepoint. Swimming, sauna, and jacuzzi were great! My aunt and mom even got in to a massage. We went back in the evening for dinner. We had an amazing meal at the restaurant and then went into the bar area for some live music. We would definitely recommend and would book this cottage again!

A quiet, secluded cottage surrounded by lovely trees yet a short walk or drive to White Point Resort. The cottage is larger than it looks from the photos. Plenty of room inside and a nice deck outside. A plus, especially for those with children, is access to the facilities at the resort, including indoor and outdoor pools and a game room. The beach at the resort is stunning. It should be noted that the roads in the Whitepoint Estates area are gravel. Also it should be noted that there is an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom only. There are standing fans in the other bedrooms. Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in Liverpool which is about 15 minutes away. The resort also has a restaurant and golf course. A trip to Lunenberg was a highlight of our trip as was a hiking excursion to Kejimkujik Seashore (but make sure to use heavy duty insect repellent if you are going when it's warm.)

Going to this cottage has become tradition for my family and friends. For four years in a row our two young families have loved Janet’s cottage. It’s a prime location and the cottage is cozy and comfortable. The wine and chocolate from Janet are a nice touch :)

We really enjoyed our mini vacation at Shellot Cottage. It was great to enjoy the pool, beach and other amenities at Whitepoint Resort but then to come back to this spacious accommodation which is located in a quiet and peaceful setting. Everything we would ever need was included and it was perfect for our family which included 3 generations. Janet was a great host and promptly answered all our questions and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were so pleased to receive an unexpected treat basket which was a great surprise! We are already planning for a return visit!

Came to White Point Beach area for our nephew's wedding, loved the location and ability to use the resort's amenities. Place was bigger than it looked on website. It served our family well. Would book again if we are in the area again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shellot Cottage. The place was clean and very comfortable. The grandchildren enjoyed trail walks to White Point Lodge and the beautiful sandy beach . Everyone took advantage of the many amenities the Lodge had to offer….games room , indoor pool etc. The cottage outdoor games were a great hit too . Thanks again for providing a wonderful stay . Enjoyed some family time here at Corkum’s Cottage. The cottage is as described and even larger than we anticipated. Beds are comfortable and kitchen equipped and large enough to cook meals. The walk to the resort is 10 min and we were given access to any activities as described. This is a great option for anyone looking ti be close ti the ocean and resort but wants more space and perhaps some cost savings.

My 4 year and I loved this spot! Lots of nature trails with deer, bunnies, birds and salamanders for us to explore. The beach at Summerville is truly one-of-a-kind and if you’d rather stay close you can check out the awesome Sandy beach just a short walk away at White Point. Janet was so lovely and gave us great ideas for our rainy days. The cottage is bigger and even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Truly a lovely spot. Thank you so much!

Cottage was exactly as pictured. Walking distance to White Point with access to their amenities. Kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed (coffee and filters, oil, salt, pepper, etc). Janet was easy to communicate with and even left a thoughtful treat basket. Great spot on the South Shore for families or groups of travellers.

A beautiful home on a gorgeous lakeside spot was the perfect getaway for us. Sitting on the deck drinking my tea while enjoying the fall colours and lake view, listening to the birds and squirrels, was pretty much perfection. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working when we stayed but we really enjoyed the sauna and going in the lake (which was not as frigid in early Oct as expected!). Close to Pidgeon River Provincial Park, we took in hiking there a couple times. Fabulous location. The house itself looks newly renovated with everything up-to-date (new appliances, showers, etc.) and very clean. Lucy was a responsive host, helping us troubleshoot any little issues or questions quickly. Hope to be back!

It is tough to please teenagers. We looked for an interesting vacation spot for each of my kids interests. This cottage was perfect. With access to White Point beach and pool and close to Liverpool for dining and activities everyone found something they loved. Relaxing in the cartage was everyone's favorite too.

We had an amazing time at the cottage! There was plenty of room for all - 3 moms and 4 girls! The kitchen was great for making meals, lots of utensils and plates, and the large table made for great breakfasts & brunches where we all could sit! The deck was amazing, and we used the back yard for some star gazing. The beach was fantastic, the nature trail was used most often to get to the resort. We saw a few bunnies on the way and the girls took their annual photo on the large rocks near the walking bridge. Beautiful!! Definitely a great place to stay and Janet was great at equipping & communicating with me leading up to and while there. Would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for allowing us to make some wonderful memories! ~Beth
