the position overlooking the Seven River was exceptional, we even got to see some of the Queens Baton Relay from our bedroom. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. it was no problem having breakfast at their sister pub 50 meters up the road. All the staff in both establishment’s were lovely. The evening meal and the accommodation were great and great value for money.
It was a pity that there was not a shower curtain over the bath.

Did not have breakfast but evening meals good liked the comfy chairs and lovely river view
Only a hand held shower over bath not possible for me to use due to arthritis in hands lighting in room poor and no bedside light on one side of bed

The hotel was situated close to Ironbridge which is only a small place with not very much to do in the evening. The food in the hotel was excellent especially the breakfasts and the staff were pleasant and efficient
There was nowhere comfortable to sit to have a drink after eating in the hotel all the tables and chairs were rustic in style. The building is very old and the route to our room was complicated and narrow and we only had skylights, no window.

Very cosy cute room, large bath tub, very good breakfast, very nice man serving breakfast even though on his own and re a fire the previous day he was doing 'everything'.....serving /taking orders/tea/coffee...rushed off his feet.... but still helpful and friendly
when I arrived...pub was heaving with people...I could not get attention of any staff to book in....there was no reception for hotel rooms.....I eventually managed to stop a member of staff who was serving food and at bar....was a rushed show how to get upstairs and given a quick number for door lock.....not a good experience at all...not impressed....but 1 member of staff helped re request for extra milk....he was good...No parking for guests....small car parked shared apparently with other hotel...but for pub customers also...

The room had a river view. It was big, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is in the Malt House next door and it was excellent. Full English with orange juice and a cup of tea.

Location is perfect for Iron Bridge. Breakfast was amazing.
No hot water, they run hot water via an immersion tank and as soon as someone runs a bath it's all gone. Staff suggested we wait a few hours before trying again ? Not good enough. Ratings would have been far higher if they fix the Hot water problems.

Room 3,no bathroom mirror which made shaving a problem for me & make up for my wife very difficult.Room had energy light bulbs which are not very bright. Stayed previous week in 7 & also stayed in room 5 which both had a quirky charm about them.
No bathroom mirror

location.
staff extremely busy in the pub and had little time to deal with guest problems. Asked for more coat hangers as only two supplied, only two more given. Room dingy, lamp not working query not resolved. Hot water intermittent, basin not draining, no shower screen/curtain so couldn’t use over-bath shower without soaking bathroom floor. Flush handle not working properly, had to be repositioned otherwise water kept running. Grout needs replacing and whirlpool bath jets badly soiled and grimy.

Check in was easy and friendly . We were shown to our room ,just as well , as upstairs is a lot bigger than it looks from outside.Low beams and creaky floorboards add to character and charm of place.
Ironbridge very quiet first week January but if you like to eat early there is plenty of choice still ,great base for a few days
Lighting by bed could be better but we managed , due to bank holiday there were no spare lightbulbs for one sidelight - staff tried to sort though.

Breakfast was excellent, a wide choice, we chose full English, generous portion well cooked and served hot.
Central heating switched on, which was needed in the bedroom.
Lighting in our room was too dim to read comfortably. Radiator in bathroom would not turn off, so uncomfortably hot.
