Very comfortable quite room, we had 14 for dinner which was a late booking and the food and staff was excellent. Breakfast offered great choice, only disappointment the kitchen manager closed breakfast service without consultation while we were still ion the restaurant.
The haste in which breakfast was ended.
4.1
Room was nice, not sure what made it deluxe but comfortable. Fabulous view!
Spa facilities were lovely and a late swim and steam was perfect after a long day of driving.
Meal choices not to our taste. But plenty on offer if wanted.
Nothing really although hallways got a little noisy but to be expected - think there was a wedding.
4.1
Excellent self service breakfast. Helpful staff, clean and comfy room.
Room with a view rather than a brick wall. More lighting in the swimming pool. Steam room not working for a long while apparently. Golf course was in good condition
4.1
Lovely setting, beautiful grounds, rabbits sharing the golf course with the golfers!
The staff were all very kind and helpful.
Very minor things, but as the question is being asked.....
Not a huge problem, but only towels for 1 person in a room for 2, also no spares in the wardrobe.
Huge breakfast choice, but the cooked breakfast wasn't very hot.
Shower door was not a good fit so water had to be wiped up off the floor.
4.1
The room was nice and clean and I had a good night sleep.
The breakfast options (meat and cheese) were minimal and didn't have scrambled egg. Too many things were order only. The apple juice was watery.

Èxcellent staff
Nothing !! We liked everything
4.1
It was in the old part of the building and very quiet
Not as clean as it could have been. Massive cobwebs behind curtain and across the window. Water splashes on the bath panel as I checked in
4.1
I loved the room, so comfortable, and I did not need to ask for an iron, as one already provided.
The staff were friendly and helpful, reception staff, The Gorge Bar staff and Spa staff. I had a lovely farewell from a cheerful member of the housekeeping staff.
The dinner at 1779 restaurant was not good. The fish (Hake) was undercooked and the chips were cold. I did mention to a member of staff who kindly served me a free non-alcoholic drink, which was very kind of her. The meal was £29.00 and I was not pleased to have spent so much money on an insufficient meal. I did not wish to make a fuss as other diners were present, but quietly mentioned at the end of the meal.
4.1
Nice restaurant nice location and good bar
Nothing really a little dated perhaps in thoroughfares
4.1
Breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful
Rooms are smaller than most 4 star hotel and when i checked out drinks were put onto my hotel bill even though i paid for that separately

Great location to explore the area around! Very polite and helpful receptionists! Comfortable room! Good SPA and fitness facilities! Nice hotel, situated in a lovely beautiful surroundings!
The pool is not that deep for swimming but its good for kids!

The beds and breakfest
Swimming pool was cold. Had a 6 year old that wanted to swim but pool was cold so we didn't enjoy it and didn't stay for long.

Excellent facilities for our needs which unfortunately include those with mobility/disability issues.
Nothing.Ideal

It was clean and easy to navigate . The staff where really friendly and the rooms where cozy and luxurious
There could have been more facilities, and more food options in restaurant and room service . But overall I would go back again

Breakfast was fine, staff in the main restaurant and bar were fantastic.
Staff on reception poor, sent Gemma an email requesting a twin room, never heard back from her. Izzy on reception told us we could have a twin room on Sunday evening!
Room and bathroom were terrible - not been cleaned for ages, bathroom looked dated, tiles, shower head and taps - poor.
Staff at the spa treated you like a second class citizen, as you wasn't on their spa package, therefore requesting for a second towel was an issue. We were told we couldn't have a second towel, as it had been raining the day before and they didn't have enough towel for guest, yet the spa/pool was virtually empty! Asked for a larger towel, they could do that as it was d=for spa guests only, asked for a robe, they couldn't do that, as it was for spa guests only. Swimming truck dryer, broken, and taken off the wall. Spa staff insisted we wear blue plastic covers on our shoes, when looking around the spa/pool, yet spa staff walking around in their own outdoor shoes without the blue covers.

Really lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable.
Bedroom nice but large window looked out onto bar/restaurant patio area so had to keep curtains closed for privacy.
Really nice restaurant menu.
Very good cooked breakfast.

We stayed just the one night with board and breakfast. Everything was good especially the staff.
There was nothing we did not like.

Mould in the bathroom, bathroom door handle broken, bed really squeaky so any movement whilst sat or lay on the bed was loud and kept waking us up during the night

Staff were very friendly, pool and spa exceptional and the area was ideal for walking and visiting the local history museums etc
One evening, the restaurant was a little too noisy, but had a lovely meal. No other issues, all good

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices plus a nice view of the countryside. The room was clean and tidy with a really comfortable bed. Loved the pool and spa facilities
4.1
Food service slow, breakfast cleared on the dot at 9.30 without any warning
Had shower on first morning at 7.15, hot water ran out half way through. Zero hot water the following morning, very poor for a supposed 4 star
4.1

very comfortable and good food.
The bar wasn’t attended enough
4.1
Excellent breakfast with helpful and friendly staff, room clean and comfortable.
Only thing was it was a bit further out of Telford than we imagining. Otherwise, nothing at all.
4.1
Nice quiet location.
Housekeeping leaving dirty towels and bedding all over the floor in public stairway, even over the handrail. Had to step over towels and bedding with bloodstains to get up the stairs to where my room was located. Questioned this with housekeeping and I was treated as though it was me with the problem. Restaurant staff were lovely and attentive, however we were served non vegan accompaniments with dishes labelled vegan. Was impressed with the vegan options available but left concerned that mistakes had been made. Bar staff added food to rooms at the end of the night despite someone in our party asking to pay the bill in full for all of us
