The position was perfect, away from the main hub of Looe but close enough for an easy walk. The sea view was just a treat
I have nothing to dislike about the property

It's nice to be able to use pool & facilities anytime, the staff were very friendly & accommodating, & breakfast choices excellent
The room we stayed in could do with updating, the ceiling near to door outside was cracked & damp & the light looked bit unsafe, also the TV could have been more central to the bed

Views, location
Weren't helpful about having some sort of early breakfast in room because l needed to leave before set breakfast time, which was 8am.
Also water run in bath was brown.
I asked for some sort of compensation for that but they weren't interested.

Staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very nice, we were upgraded to a room with a sea view and balcony which was a nice surprise, the room was spacious, well decorated, clean and well equipped. I don't think it's as tired as some reviews make out, it is only a 3 star hotel after all so expectations should be aligned. The pool and spa area had a lot to offer and were very nice and clean. The gym was closed for renovation so I'm sure it will be great once open again.
The view was great and they provided complementary binoculars in the room which is a nice touch. Location is great if you intend to walk the coastal path as we did and just a short walk into Looe town center.
Communication of the additional charge for taking a dog was poor, they didn't confirm there was a £12 per night, per dog charge until the evening 2 days before our stay (the last day before you are charged for cancellation), this should have been communicated when they confirmed my request to take a dog on the day I booked, it left me feeling I'd been had over. I feel a daily charge is excessive and difficult to justify, I could understand a one-off fee for a deep clean of the room at the end of your stay regardless of length of stay.
