Sehr freundliches Personal. Essen/Frühstück/Preise absolut ok. Schöner Aussenbereich beim Restaurant. Gepflegte Anlage.

The location is convenient and really lovely with the restaurant and pool situated under beautiful shady trees next to the river.
The lodge has so much potential but currently looks tired. The service at the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast was very poor included and supplies such as milk and coffee not refueled once finished.

Die Lage ist gut
Sanitäre Anlagen.Aircon funktionierten nicht. Toilette war bei Ankunft verstopft. Klimaanlage kühlte nicht. Frühstück ist das Geld nicht wert.
Personal wirkt etwas unmotiviert/ aphatisch

It is a bit of a construction site > goods is half build or half broken down > Room is very nice and clean > some staff are very nice and friendly.
The walkway to the rooms > lots of debris > electrical wire running across pathway!

The breakfast area was nice.
There was reconstruction work direct in front of our lodge.

It was my second time in this lodge in Maun. My first time was 8 years ago and i think this place is very unique, beautiful peaceful. I recommend this lodge, you have a beautiful river with cows and donkeys. The chalets are very nice , confortable and big. The dinner, breakfast are very good and not expensive. I thank you all the staff, very professionnal, with smile, the best staff in a hotel after 6 hotels in Botswana.
Take care don t wait to book a room lastminute...i wanted to stay 2 nights more but it was overbooked unfortunately i had to change my hotel.

Staff were lovely, rooms we’re comfortable.
No notice provided at booking for power outage from 9am-4pm with no backup generator. Food often out of stock in restaurant too. Grounds in a state, needs a lot more care and maintenance. Little water was supplied in the rooms to accommodate number of people staying.

I loved the history of this place. Sitting on the deck at the bar overlooking the river was lovely.
The place has aged and is no longer situated adjacent to wildlife zones (although a herd of elephants did come to drink while we were there) with a goat/cattle farm now filling the view.

Island Safari Lodge is not what it’s is described on their page! we stayed 9 days and it was absolutely disgraceful place. lodges need good renovation work, simple things like bed linen , it was holes and stains on them, rooms are old full of spiders.
the only thing that made our days in island safari is the staff! staff were amazing! very helpful and understanding. they work long hours 7 days on 7 off, and still have lovely smile in their faces! owners of the lodges have to be ashamed for paying so little to their staff for 15/17 hrs a day work.
1. no laundry facilities (if you travelling with kids there is no where to wash clothes)
2. old and stained bed linen with massive holes ( in 9 days that we stayed I asked 2 times to change them, as they would not change the linen , only tidy the room)
3. swimming pools are filthy
4 . food in restaurant have only 4/5 choices , yet it’s big menu with different food, but in all 9 day if our stay it was out of stock 🫣
5. prices for drinks and food is overpriced and portions are very small.( adult meal in island safari is like our irish/ English kids portion)
6. overpriced activities ( so if you are staying there, source in neighbouring lodges i.e Crakodile lodge for activities they have 3 times cheaper)
7. the island Safari lodges are filthy, old and never upgraded.
8. location is far from town, you can’t go walking. you always need a taxi.

They were great. They were accommodating. They help onto our lost objects. They were gracious and the food was delicious.
The showers in the chalets need some work...and there are some squirrels living in the huts, but other than that, amazing!

The staff was friendly and catered for our needs (Vegetarian), Beautiful location and lovely ambiance.
Internet could be extended to the rooms and more channels added to the the TV.

The staff and lodge is great.
The Social platform (drinking etc), across the river, not just removing the peace from a paying traveler, but polluting the river with bottel, plastic and waste.
Disturbing the natural lifestyle... Hippos etc
The full experience was not at all on any traveler's scale.
There were no boating from this lodge, but a lot of boats did pass, but the excuse are due to.... so-called to low flows... rather for no maintenance at the Jetty cutting the reeds back for boats to launch.
Management should assist in this matter and realise why the lodge do not have international visitors booking the full lodge.
They should be removed from this and other traveling App's... if this sound and water polution continues.

Pleasant rooms would have liked to have stayed longer. Good food with varied menu and nicely presented. Unfortunately could not do a river cruise as there was not enough water (rains came the day we left!!!!) Lodge is in a lovely setting with some nice trails around the private island. Recommend the lodge

Great location on the riverbank, with picture perfect sunsets.
Staff great and the food (breakfast as well as dinner) as amazing
Big rooms.

great location next to the river, lovely private park to go running in, main building cool place to hang in, staff super friendly and helpful, they offer several opportunities to do excursions into the natural world.
my bungalow smelt very damp, no way to charge devices (old 3 pin plugs). locals party on the other side of the river and stuff up the connection to nature!

Very relaxed..
Beautiful scenery.
Room comfortable- spacious with a decent size bed.
Food was good.

The location is pretty good, nice peaceful area during the daytime. The drive from the gate up to the actual lodge is quite nice, there's wildlife to see if you're in luck. The food served at the restaurant is tasty.
There's a bar across the river that's really loud at night. Obviously nothing the hotel can do about that but it's a pity as it ruins the tranquil vibe there would otherwise be. The swimming pools are in need of a deep clean.. I was quite disappointed I wasn't able to go for a swim. The water coming from the taps is brown, I'm sure the water is fine but it still feels weird.
3.5
The room was basic with twin beds with nets. Shower and bathroom were adequate. Breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. The room was far from the main building and difficult to find in the dark.
The lodge was fairly expensive and the quality did not match the price. We have stayed in better accommodation for a lower price.
3.5
Food, proper coffee and location
When I needed it most the WiFi went down with the power and they had no generator

currently a bit run down but looks like they are trying to improve it
it was fine and good food but I think due to pandemic it has somewhat got tired.
