Great value for money, fantastic location, great to have a pool, basic rooms but comfortable.

Breakfast buffet was great, the location was superb, one block away from the bars and restaurants of colourful and lively Getsemani. The one stand out thing here are the staff, they were all incredible, even when one of the chambermaids broke a bottle of aftershave in our room, they went above and beyond to compensate us, even though we accepted their initial apology as accidents happen. They still offered us guaranteed late check-out on our last day and complimentary lunch as an apology. The air conditioning in the room was amazing and needed as it was real feel factor of 49'C when we were there.

The pool was great but it does need some maintenance, a few missing tiles and the pool deck has very little shade, a few parasols would make the space more usable.

First trip to Cartagena!

Very comfortable king size bed, great breakfasts and the staff were wonderful, always smiling and happy to help in any way. I also had a massage at the hotel (Andrea) and it was the best I've ever had! It was my birthday while we were there and, when I came down to breakfast there were balloons and a lovely cake waiting for me. The staff all gathered round and sang "Happy Birthday". So kind and thoughtful!

The bathroom was very small and cramped, with a huge step up to the toilet and the walk in shower.

It was an awful experience. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

It was awful, the facility had NO running water because the pipes were broken. Besides, the elevator was not working. They knew all this was happening before we did the check in, they should have told us before checking in. Now I have to be at the airport and I have not taken a shower because they have not yet fixed the pipes.

They offered me a bucket with water to take a shower, it was unacceptable.

Nice place to stay

For the price you pay I thought it was closer to/in the city centre. It’s a 15/20 min walk, and may be dangerous at some points (we were unlucky that someone tried to to steal a chain on our way back to the hotel)

It was ok, I was here to attend a wedding with friends, spending most of my time at their apartment.

The Hotel was in an excellent location just inside the walled city but with great views across the harbour and towards the Castillo de San Felipe. Only 15 minutes walk from the heart of the City. I loved the fact that it was a traditional building with a cool courtyard full of giant palms. The bedroom was cool and comfortable with an enormous comfy bed.

I wasn't personally over keen on the breakfast. Plenty of fresh fruit yes. Not much choice of breads, and a lot of hard litle pastries and tasteless weeny rolls. The same one cheese and one meat nearly everyday. Over a 3 hour breakfast window the eggs weren't very nice and the hot choices limited as were the choices of cereal. Could do a lot better.

Disappointing, overall was good, but totally misaligned with expectations on the price quality

Location

The hotel is quite dirty, there is not a lot of staff and it felt more like a hostel than a 5 star hotel. My review would have been different if I had paid $40 USD per night for a "2 or 3 star hotel". But for this price and for a "5 star hotel". I am positive that in the next star review (whenever that might be), this hotel will get reclassified to 3 star

this is where I will be staying whenever I come to Cartagena no where else easy walk to the old town

the hotel is very very beautiful and clean. the rooms are just amazing I stayed in room 204 duplex room with 2 big queen beds the breakfast was nice too

I would stay again

the building is beautiful, the views from the rooftop were unbelievable beautiful. staff were really helpful and kind. breakfast had a great selection and it was well balanced. plenty of places for coworking and relaxation. the pool is really nice.

the old building is prone to mould and our room ceiling was partly covered in it.

Pretty patio, location, breakfasts.

mould above the bed, also air-condition was covered with mould. Excess of damp.. I was promised to change room, but didn't get it. Overall place is nice but needs maintenance. Staff should be more responsible for what they say. I was informed about taxi price and when it came, price was higher

There was supposed to be stuff at the bar after 10 or 11 am(can't remember the exact time), there was nobody so guests can't get towels either, that was same everyday during my stay at the hotel. The guests toilet by the pool had to toilet paper until late that afternoon when we checked in. We had a duplex and the windows on the façade didn't have curtains, so the sun was hitting the room/bed upstairs.

Great location and breakfast.

Bed and breakfast were great.

The location and cleanliness was great. The only down side was that I arrived to the hotel at 11:30, was told that check in wasn’t until 3pm but it could be at 2:45 if the room was ready. I walked out to eat lunch, came back around 2:45, was informed the room wasn’t ready. At 3 pm was told again that the room wasn’t ready. At 3:15 the room still want ready and they didn’t know when it was going to be ready. After speaking w the manager he said the room was going to be ready in 15min. I finally checked in at 4pm.

Very good hotel for the price

Very nice hotel in a good location - about a 10 minute walk from the Walled City. Good rooftop pool area.

Our bathroom door didn’t close and the lighting in the room is awful. There is no natural lighting and very minimal artificial lighting. It would also be nice to have a kettle for the room for coffee and tea.
