Nicest room we stayed in whilst in the Philippines.
Quiet road, a welcome change
Pool is a bonus
Spacious room and bathroom
Has the things you need for a kitchenette
5-10 minute walk to the town
Staff were lovely
It isn't quite as close to the main Alona beach as you might think.
No taxi or tuk tuk drivers knew where it was, we had to guide them

The location is perfect 10 min away from the airport and close to a wide range of restaurants and the beach is 5 min walk. The accommodation itself is clean and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend and it’s very good value for money.

Comfortable place with everything one may need! Staff is very friendly also. Love the bathroom, very much a relief to many other bathrooms we’ve seen. Spacious and clean. The whole place is clean and well taken care of.
It would have been great if there’s some opportunity to hang a hammock, but we didn’t dare to drill a hole in the ceiling ourselves. We had some mosquitos visiting us, but that’s about it. No comments, everything else was perfect. Many thanks for the nice stay!

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Krystal was in communication with me prior to our arrival. We had a late afternoon checkin after a full day of touring around the island. When we arrived they met us with a refreshing ice cold cucumber kalamansi drinks with mint and cold moist washcloths which was an awesome surprise and a much needed one. The staff were so welcoming and courteous. The receptionists were very helpful with any requests for transportations and excursions. The grounds was very clean and well groomed. We enjoyed the swimming pool as well. The 3 BR suite was very clean with comfy beds except we didn’t realize that the 2 bedrooms were upstairs which we didn’t mind. I would stay here again.

Cannot beat the location. 5 mins and you're on the beach front. Reception staff were very welcoming and all facilities were clean and well managed.
Far too many rules. We paid the most for this resort out of all the places we stayed across the Philippines. The problem was there were signs and written rules posted up all over the property. Don't do this, don't do that. On check out we had to wait for the maintenance guy to check our room to ensure it wasn't damaged or we had taken anything. Didn't make us feel great.

The room is very big with a small kitchen. We used it to cook breakfast. The bed is very comfortable. Great AC. Shower had hot water with good pressure. There's a cable tv with netflix. Was quiet during the day and night. The hotels restaurant is great and you can also have the food served to your room for free. Lovely pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach.

secure, inviting, friendly, good location, bar and restaurant, quiet area but still close to the action, very clean.
only thing I could say is that it be nice if there was an Air conditioning unit in the living room area. but that’s being very nitpicking. I loved everything.

I had a great stay here. The resort was very well maintained, and the gardens unique and beautiful. The resort was quiet and the bar/restaurant served very good food and was well patronised. I loved how close to the beach it was, only a few minutes walk. Mini bar well stocked and all of the staff very helpful and courteous.
I really don't have any complaints, everything met or exceeded my expectations!

The lication is a short distance from the city area and the beach. Very accessible.
The stairs going up to the 2nd floor is very steep. The distances between steps are quite high. Quite dangerous to go up and down.

The owners and staff were so helpful, cheerful, and friendly. The food was excellent. Location was perfect. Near enough to the beach but free from the noise of the beach crowd. Our unit had all the comforts of home and was always clean.
Best holiday ever!

Reviews from previous guests allowed me to book this place! Seriously, this is value for money.
The place gives you privacy and accessibility. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, which is like having the beach in your backyard. The beach area near it is also the same one where you get dropped off from your island hopping tour so it's very convenient. No need to ride a tuktuk/tricycle to get back to your place.
What I also appreciate was that even if I booked a very affordable place for two, the place we got was very spacious (probably 50sqm or more?). The toilet and bath was really clean, and the unit's design was very local. I also love the care and foresight they have put in the place you're staying in: (1) the TV was adjustable to be viewed from bed or dining, (2) the water dispenser was accessible both from the bed and dining area (so it's easy to get water too when you wake up at the middle of the night), (3) the microwave included a microwavable container you can use, (4) they have a safe for your valuables, (5) they have a guide booklet helpful for non-local tourists, and (6) all faucets -- even the kitchen sink-- have warm water. All of these little details on top of the minimum expectations you have for a good hotel.
Moreover, I need to emphasize that they have good food in their own restaurant: Rumor Draft Bar and Restaurant. How good is it? Let's just say if you eat here every day and not eat anywhere else in Alona, you're not going to miss anything! Not even in terms of ambiance. You don't have to eat in Mist or Molly's.
I also need to give shout-out to Shine, one of the receptionists who made sure we get our preferred itinerary sequence for our island hopping tour (which made sure we get Virgin Island all to ourselves, and see the sea turtles near Balicasag beach) -- which made our vacation trip complete.
The only thing I didn't like was when I checked out and opted to transfer payment to their Gcash (via Unionbank), it took long for them to confirm our payment (to be honest they haven't confirmed with me yet as of writing). It's because the Gcash account isn't viewable by the reception, and only accessible to a certain "Marc" who also owns the Gcash account. But it's okay, because the owner gave a go signal to let us go and so we didn't miss our flight back to Manila.
I would suggest future visitors to settle your remaining balance via credit card for a quicker transaction.

Nice big room. Aircon silent. Good bathroom. Openair restaurant with good food and drinks.
Not enough stuff in the restaurant. Waiting quite a bit for food.

The resort has everything and the place is quiet as it is away from all of the resort locations. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation itself seems like it is brand new.
Hope that the trail to the beach will be developed soon. Though advertised as less than 10 minutes by walk to the beach, the actual trail is a little underdeveloped and is too risky.

The property itself, the serene yet so near to the beach location and most exceptionally its staff who go out of their way to please their guests.

It was very clean very modern and comfortable
The only thing I didn’t like was the two separate blankets on the bed for each person . I’d prefer one big blanket but honestly the place is so nice and so well kept .

From the moment my friend and I arrived we were made very very welcome. The quality of materials in the rooms is top class and the resort is small and quiet. The staff especially Shine and Venice were very helpful with directions, arranging a visit to Bohol Beach Club and organizing transport.
There is a nice bar with friendly staff and real ale on offer. Olaf the owner introduced himself and was very convivial.
If there was a problem, the staff immediately addressed it. I would certainly recommend this place. We booked initially for 2 nights but stayed 3 and would have stayed longer but had to fly back to Manila.
A very nice place
Not a lot. Maybe some fruit in the room would be nice but it’s easy to buy your own

Good location, very close to the beach, maybe 5 min walking, and maybe 10 min walking from the central area, We arrive at lunch hour and they give us tip to go the to restaurant just next to hotel, Vanilla sky resort restaurant, wish was great by the way :D

Olaf and his son Mark were ever so friendly, from the moment we arrived till the moment we departed we felt like VIP guests. Their new bar/restaurant served amazing food, and was very popular with other expats living on the island of Panglao (always a good sign). The staff were equally helpful and courteous, and there was always someone on hand to deal with any enquiries. The location was fantastic, close enough to stroll in to Alona Beach (10 mins), but far enough away that you could enjoy the peace and quiet. An added bonus was that a more secluded area of Alona Beach could be accessed only a 5 min walk from the hotel.
I really could not find fault with the place!

We had a great stay! Shine and all staff were very helpful, kind and lovely. They helped us with various queries and recommendations. We really appreciated the great service. Also the resort was beautiful and we felt very comfortable. It was well located with a 10minute walk to the main shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to the start of Alona beach. We definitely recommend this place.
It would have been even better if the resort's restaurant/ bar had been ready as it was still under renovations. However, there was an italian restaurant next door that was a good option.

This spacious villa was perfect for our family holidays with three grown up kids.
Beach side is very noisy with a lot of loud music, this place is only five minutes walk from the beach and has a huge advantage to be very calm. There was a construction work just behind, but it wasn’t that bad and anyway we were out most of the time when it was on. I highly recommend!

The hotel was very clean, and very close to the beach. In 5 minutes you are at Alona Beach. Also, it was in a very quiet place. Panglao is a very busy and noisy town, so, it was a perfect spot. The room was very big and with a confortable bed. Nice pool and helpful staff. I just wish we had a mosquito net to be perfect!
Hotels should have rules and, I admit it, for that fact the hotel was super organized. However, these rules shouldn't be so strict and written to the clients in underlines. It makes it a little bit rigid and, sometimes, we felt like we were in the army and not in the paradise of Panglao. Still, I must repeat that the hotel was very clean and organized and overall it didn't affect our stay. It is just how we felt reading all of the information. The administration should only chill with the exclamation points in the emails and all the underlines in the rules book in the room.
Also, I strongly suggest that the hotel should have a mosquito net in the bed. Many mosquitos every day and even after staff went to the room and sprayed with some antimosquito we were victims of those tiny bugs.
And a fee for early check out (before 7 am)? Never heard before...
