Room and hotel facilities were brilliant
WiFi was really good
Staff were friendly and super helpful with recommendations
Breakfast was okay, we ate out a couple of times as we wanted to try a few different cafes.
The free shuttle that the hotel offers is great, they are happy to do drop offs/pick ups from anywhere close by, and if you want to go a little further it only costs 100-200PHP.
Consider booking day trips in the town itself, they were quite expensive if you book through the hotel.

We had a pleasant stay…. the front desk and restaurant/bar staff is super friendly and helpful - quintessential Filipinos! The drink prices are great - less than the bars and restaurants outside the property.
As for the room, it was spacious and well designed.
The location is off the main road but it was an easy walk to the restaurants and beach. The local road is dark at night and muddy if it rains… but still very doable if you decide not to use the complimentary tuktuk ride.
There is an ongoing building site next door which concerned us but the noise was not too bothersome. We still enjoyed the pool that we had to ourselves for two afternoons even though the property was fully booked during our 4 day stay.
The WIFi signal in room 104 was non existent.

Helpful staff, nice room, well located, complimentary shuttle to town.
Breakfast must be improved : coffee was really bad, pancakes had strange doughy taste, tiny portion of bacon, fruit portion was limited and uninspiring.

We liked the look of the facilities and the pool. The rooms were big and the staff was very helpful. We also liked the free shuttle to the beach.
Unfortunately there is a construction site next to the hotel so it was a bit noisy (of course not the hotels fault). Transport and tours were much more expensive than the usual price in town.

Lovely spot… great session… needs a little updating but one of the best places we stayed in the philippines.

Very comfortable and spacious appartment/room, on a small property with a personal touch. Set a ten mins walk to the beach but with a nice pool to hang out by to chill.

I stayed at Bird of Paradise Bohol Resort for one night and it was amazing! The place is so pretty with cool Filipino designs, a beautiful garden, and a nice pool. The room was super comfortable and had a great view. Included breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, eggs and bread. The resort is near Alona beach where you can do fun water activities like snorkeling and scuba diving with turtles and colorful reefs. The staff was really nice and helpful with everything we needed. Overall, it was a great place to chill and enjoy Bohol!
I liked everything. Everything was great.

We really liked the athmosphere in the Hotel and the really beautiful garden. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was really nice as well. We would definitely recommend the hotel!
Unfortunately it rained a lot during our stay and the water came through the ceiling as well as through the door and the walls. Also the coffee for breakfast could be Improved.

Setup of the place is nice.
Room had leakage.
Road to room is horrible, full of puddles and mud. Can't walk without getting very dirty shoes and feet.

Small boutique style accommodation some 20 minutes walk from the Alona beach. There are only 8 rooms in two floor buildings having private small pool with small restaurant bar. Very peaceful and quiet place. Rooms are nicely decorated and big enough for two persons. The breakfast was quite simple but enough - you select different breakfast (like western, filipino etc). The staff was very friendly and helped to arrange tours (like Bohol country side tour) we wanted. There is also free shuttle tricycle transportation to Aloha beach if you don't mind to walk.

what a wonderful place!
the stuff is amazing, and doing their best to help in any possible way.
the pool is great and clean.
on one hand its somewhat isolated from the Main Street and very quiet but on the other hand I wish it was just a little more accessible.
highly recommend!

the hotel is old and need to be reconstructed or at least refresh. shower didn’t work good enough. bed clothes was wet when we arrived. and very strong smell of the cleaning products. so the price for the room is high towards to the quality of the hotel.

This place is gorgeous! Super clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We liked the ambiance, it was a perfect place to rest and relax. The breakfast was delicious as well.
As everyone else have stated, the road to this place is very bumpy and it was a little hard to find. But the facilities and staff were wonderful.

Room itself was lovely and had a boutique hotel vibe.
Location was poor, had to go down a dirt road to get there & felt unsafe during the night. Had to get a tuk tik everywhere.
Pool was quite dirty.
Dog poo on grass outside room which smelt awful.
Booked driver to collect us and 2 other friends from the airport and take us on countryside tour for 4,300PHP for 8 hours. We only used driver for approx 5.5 hours, he then dropped our friends off & took us to the hotel. The driver then requested more money even though we hadn’t used him for the full time anyway - very disappointing experience.

Room and facilities is unmatched in Panglao. We stayed in the Superior room which meant we had a private balcony. The pool is cleaned every morning.
Breakfast was fine but needs to be pre-ordered the night before.
Really is a little slice of paradise in such a busy town.
Road leading up to the property is dark and can get muddy.

the location was little bit of the main street with a bit of muddy road

We absolutely loved our stay here and wanted to extend it for longer if only they’d had the space! The bedrooms are a great size, have great A/C Ann’s there’s a wonderful pool. It’s a small hotel so you feel very looked after by the staff who are really friendly and helpful.
The location is still pretty good but it’s about a 15 minute walk from the beach

One of the girls that works at the front desk was extremely helpful and polite. She also set us up with a tour to chocolate hills and the tarsier sanctuary for a good price.
The rest of the staff were a bit slow and/or not very communicative. The water pressure in the shower was less than a dribble and the general feel of the property (pagoda-pool-roof and outside) was one of decay and neglect.
There were no screens on the balcony door and the doors did not seal completely, leaving an opening. Thus there were ants in the room, as well as other “visitors".
Finally, there was a lot of noise from the roosters next door, that for some reason were calling throughout the night.

A little slice of paradise!
This little exclusive gem is perfect for a couples getaway. Super romantic resort with very friendly staff. The staff and the fact that it's small (8 rooms) makes you feel at home immediately.
We got help from the staff to arrange exclusive tours of Bohol, island hopping, and renting scooters, it was super easy, with much less hassle than the people selling trips on the street, and at a much fairer price.
So in total: the resort is great, but what makes it shine is the staff!
The only downside to this place is the location. The last 200 metres of the road is quite bad, but I've been told this will be fixed

very friendly staff, big rooms, good breakfast and they let us do an early check in
The room is not so clean and there’s a lot of ants and other bugs inside. Not enough parasols near the pool.

lovely quiet boutique, great sized room, good breakfast choices, nice pool.
hard to find and on a very small dirt path. I didn’t feel safe walking out in the evening.

very aesthetic and they maintain the cleanliness pretty well. the staff are all nice and very accomdating. everyone greets u with a smiling face which is really good. they even offer to book a tricycle to u when u need to go out. the place is quiet but the path getting into the resort is slightly bumpy so it can get muddy when it rains. its kinda far to walk going to the beach but best if you want a peaceful stay because resorts in front beach can get really noisy. strong signal also of globe telco
the bidet length is too short cant barely use it properly. the superior room is good for a group of 3 folks. their internet is good but it sometimes goes off at 1am which might be because of the bad weather too.

The resort was vey relaxing and accomodating
The only thing that I did’nt like was the street going to the resort, they should have improved it.

-very kind and attentive staff!
-quiet and beautiful place
-clean rooms
-netflix&youtube
-way in and out was very bumpy
-restaurant food could be better, but they helped us deliver food from other restaurants as well
-insects in the room, especially on the 1st floor. but staff let us borrow an insect spray so i slept peacefully
8.0 / 10.0
Extremely friendly staff, layout of the place (communal/bar area, pool, rooms) was really nice.
The road to the resort was muddy and bumpy. Not really walkable. The pool design had some "dead traps" (you have to be very careful going into the pool). Food was expensive for what you got.
