Very sweet and friendly staff. They helped my boyfriend set up the perfect romantic setting to ask me to marry him by the pool side. It was absolutely perfect and I can’t thank this hotel enough for the wonderful experience they gave us. Next to that the rooms are just beautiful, spacious and so comfortable. The hot tub is great after a day of wandering around in Manuel Antonio park. The views from the bar and our terrace were stunning. We saw many animals just in the hotel like white faced and squirrel monkeys, macaws, tucans,... just amazing. Will never forget our beautiful time at this hotel and I can’t thank them enough!!!
There is nothing not to like, everything was perfect!

Hotel is very clean and comfortable just like in the photos. Randall and julia are amazing at the restaurant and the breakfast/food/drinks were amazing. Monkeys, macaws, parrots, lizards and many other types of wildlife surrounding the hotel! Excellent for a couple retreat!

It was a stunning location and we loved sitting on the balcony and watching the monkeys play in the trees. We also Loved the jacuzzi on the balcony. So luxe and big enough to fit 2 people in comfortably
The room layout was a bit bizarre - the shower was open and just in the middle of the room, rather than in the bathroom or closed. The website photos show the more expensive rooms and I think our hopes were higher to get something that looked more like that. Little touches like the art being aligned above the bed rather than being wildly off centre, or having a separate bathroom would have made it feel more thoughtful and put together. The bed was enormous and so comfy though!

great views and excellent staff! Julia at the restaurant was the best ever!!!
I loved everything! 🤓

Our room was super nice. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Gorgeous views!
Only slight downside to staying here is that it's a bit of a trek from the hotel to town. you have a fairly steep uphill walk. We actually kind of enjoyed it, but just be warned you need to be in decent shape or else plan to drive.

in a great location, staff was super friendly and made me feel like I was in a 5 star Hotel.

The staff of this hotel is extremely friendly and exceptionally kind! I also loved the views from our room and the size of our suite was incredible! Breakfast was nice, but the produce used was not always the freshest, compared to other same-priced locations we stayed at in Costa Rica. Wifi was stable and the parking was comfortable enough. Overall a good stay to visit Manuel Antonio.
I did not particularly enjoy the layout of the rooms: the toilet has a saloon-type door, which is also very squeaky. So, unless you are VERY comfortable in sharing everything with the person you are travelling with, this might be a bit of a downside.
The location wasn't ideal for us either: the gorgeous views mean that you will have to be prepared to hike a mountain to get onto the beach or into town and you would need to take the car to get anywhere really. Personally, I did not mind the walks, but I can see how this could be a problem to some.

View was incredible. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very caring and attentive.
Nothing could have been better. The bath tub could’ve filled quicker but that’s about it.

The staff made our experience amazing. Geiner, Francisco, and Randal were fantastic in particular. We loved the breakfast and the views from the dining area out over the ocean. The pool area was great too and never crowded. We loved that it's a small hotel so you feel like you're at a little oasis. We were able to see monkeys playing in the trees from our balcony, as well as some epic lightning storms at night. We got a massage at the spa and that was wonderful, highly recommend!
We think the stay could have been even better with some minor improvements, like upgraded shower heads and amenities (e.g., hairdryer).

The pool was my favorite part about the hotel. The pool had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The hotel service was very helpful by providing good information about Costa Rica when Asked. Also, it was short drive to Manuel Antonio Beach.
Very little places to park.

The Breakfast was great, and varied every day of our stay. The view was also incredible, we saw monkies, toucans, the ocean, the forest, and an amazing sunset from our balcony and the hotel's deck.
The staff was incredible, able to offer suggestions, offered rides to the beach, and helped us book both a couple's massage, and a jet ski tour!
We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and were blown away by everything in the room.
The Issimo Suites is pricey, no way to get around that.
You will be charged for the coffee pods in the room, a LOT for their laundry service, and the hotel restaurant is both pricey and nothing to write home about.

It was our fourth time in Issimo from 2011. This is our favorite hotel in Manuel Antonio. Everything was perfect as usual, even after pandemia with some restrictions still in place. Breathtaken view of Pacific ocean from our room/terrace! And of course wild life. You can see a lot of birds and 3-4 species of monkey, depends how lucky you are. But squirrel and/or capuchin for sure.

Rooms, restuarant, and views were all tremendous. And a very very friendly and attentive staff. Randall was one of the most accommodating friendly staff members I've ever encountered.

Issimo was a real treasure. The view from the honeymoon suite was incredible, even better than the pictures, and we could see toucans and capuchins from our balcony. Honestly, we saw more animals than our entire tour of Manuel Antonio national park (visit the park though, it's great too). We enjoyed the restaurant and the walk to both beaches (the hidden beach is worth it despite a steep trek back up the hillside). We loved Randall, who helped us with our bags and served us for both breakfast and dinner, although the whole staff was excellent. We were only there for two nights, but it was the highlight of our trip.

We loved almost everything about it. it was relaxing, comfortable, clean, inviting, and the staff was top notch.
I would have to say that my least favorite was not having any counter top space in the bathroom to set personal items.

The location has the most perfect view to the sea! The restaurant and pool are awesome! Has great access to the beach!
I loved it all!

Nice view from the restaurant and pool area.
Breakfast was decent.
Staff was nice.
The room was outdated. The bathroom had a strange set up where you don't have privacy at all including the toilet and shower. We paid a lot to have a nice view from the balcony but the view was partly blocked off by the room next door and thick metal bars. A bit disappointing experience and overall, overpriced.

We had a fantastic stay at your property thank you. The staff is great, very caring and very flexible. one day we had to have breakfast earlier they opened the restaurant for us, at the last minute we asked them to organise a Covid test and they organized it all. The romantic set up in the room was really nice. The bed confortable the jacuzzi was working fine. The view is incredible and you can see many animals /birds from your balcony. The breakfast was great. A big congratulations to the hotel team!
The decoration in general is little outdated but this can be fixed easily. Anyway it did not bother our stay.

The room is beautiful, the view was outstanding and facilities are great for a romantic weekend. The food was great and attention from the staff made me feel like at home! Can't wait to get back!

Everything was great but the shower
The water in the shower changed their temperature and it was very disturbing and dangours because it was steaming water all in a sudden and that freezing again . I told it to the reception . I didn’t get any compensation for it . I didn’t ask but I thought they will offer me

Lovely hotel. The views are brilliant, the pool and lounge area are lovely and the staff are absolutely lovely. It just had a lovely vibe - and was spotless too. The beach is quite a hilly walk (which we didn’t mind!) as are the majority of restaurants.
The price was definitely on the more expensive side in comparison to other hotels in the area. Also, the breakfast lacked variety.

Amazing view and great staff. Very comfortable beds.
Slippery rocks over bathroom floors and in showers. Best rooms are the penthouse suites but you must climb three flights. The front suites also have a first flight of stairs made of uneven stone that is very slippery when wet.
Restaurant is incredibly over priced and at night there is nothing to eat or drink as they use sliding metal doors and padlocks to close the kitchen.
Very hard to get an extra towel. Owner seems to live on site and I don't think his presence has a calming effect on anyone.

the location was spectacular but nothing compared to the staff!!! the food-the service-the room—best trip so far. I didn’t want to leave.

A lil on the expensive side
