The location was great with access to the beach, shopping, dining, transport etc.

Full breakfast was good, location very good. The room had a barthroom hot water. Beds were comfortable. I got what i paid for.

The location is superb, very close to the hovercraft terminal, bus depot, beach and everything else you need really.
3.5
The location.
Staff were ignorant,I wasn’t even asked my name or reservation number,my friend came to check in with me and when I asked her to come and check the room with me ,the woman( who gave me my key, I presume the owner)was very rude , she actually raised her hand and shout” stop non paying guests are not allowed in rooms,we were so shocked as to the way we was spoken to,the hotel needs a complete refurbishment,I was offered a sea view at a discounted rate, I wasn’t informed about the noise from the roadworks though, when I asked to move rooms I was told that the hotel would have to upgrade another guest so that I could change rooms and they would not refund me my money ( I was fuming)Being a vegetarian I was woken to the smell of bacon everyday, some how the smell lingered to the top floor I don’t know and that all you could smell through out the hotel was bacon Also the tv was that small and so far from the bed ;you would have to sit on the floor to watch it.NEVER AGAIN WOULD I STAY THERE!

The location and brilliant views
Lots of stairs to negotiate with luggage. The shower was a bit stiff.

Our room looked out onto the pier so granddaughter had a fantastic view of the train, fastcat and hover crossing to Portsmouth, lovely breakfast of your choice 😋

Didn't have breakfast! Bugs in bed. Poor hygiene
Cleanliness. Pretty grubby everywhere. Definitely not COVID friendly.

The location was perfect. I was blessed to have a seaview room. I liked having my own front door key so I didn't have to be let in.
The stair carpet could do with a facelift. The TV remote control was held together with tape and the batteries appeared to need changing. My first night in the room was cold as the radiator needed bleeding. Both of the last 2 problems were sorted out promptly once brought to the owner's attention.

All we liked was the island and the view from the room
The b&b was terrible, we go away every weekend and never stayed anywhere like that before, the bed had all blood spots and bugs, it was dirty, the bedding and towels stank, the shower was useless couldnt even shower the pressure was terrible, and the toilet had a bowl underneath because it was leaking.. was so uncomfortable sleeping in the discusting bed.. and it stunk of mould on the entrance..

Everything went well. Beach is not far away. Hoverport, bus station and Ryde Pier for the Fastcat are all nearby if you are a foot passenger or with a pedal cycle !
Nothing to dislike at all.

Location is perfect - nice and quiet- heat was on - good value .
Needs a little more upkeep - 2 light fixtures not working - can't read at night .

Location only
I see that the owner/manager/host seems to think I left a one-star review because of a change of date request I made (which was not possible, I understand). That is NOT the reason and they should stop making excuses for every bad review they receive (please read other visitors' bad reviews). My review is not to do with anything other the room being dirty and very low standard. Shower curtain stained, grubby carpets, no hook to hang anything on, damp ceiling, I could go on. I could see from the general state of the place that there was nothing to do about it and most places in IoW were booked up so I just had to do with it for a couple of days. Places like this should not be allowed to run, though.
Oh - small detail, but will give some insight, I think. When we arrived, we were at the door after ringing the bell for a couple of minutes. We could see the host from the window walking around the breakfast area (ground floor). Finally she came to the door to let us in, and when I said we thought maybe she did not hear the bell, she said " I was upstairs, you need to give me a little bit of time to come down and open the door". I think this is an important sign about how the place is run.

A nice place to stay, with a good view from the front rooms. The public car park is close and convenient.
The information on booking.com is still incorrect - breakfast is not available before 8.30. This did cause me a problem as I was booked on the 9.30 ferry. It was sorted by the hotel by giving me a full breakfast refund for the final night. Car Park - the payment instructions (council produced) could be a lot clearer. This is probably very easy if you have a smart phone with the app but I was trying to pay with money and lots of coins are required.

The view overlooking Ryde beach and pier
The room was shabby and tired looking. Beds were grubby and the wallpaper was peeling Bathroom was too small with cracked sink and bad shower. Not enough hanging space or shelves. Definitely paying for the view only

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend Seahaven House for anyone visiting Ryde.

Location was key for my stay for visiting family.
It was a basic room beds were comfortable but furniture needs updating as draw unit was coming apart when putting clothes in. And it was difficult to close the curtains without having to stand on the window sill.

a guest slamming doors gone 01-00 in the morning

Really lovely friendly staff. Great location. We hardly spent anytime in the room so for the money we paid it was good for its money.
The shower was really cold and not powerful. The carpet wasn’t very nice, it was very old and looked dirty.

the location was right on the sea front and there was parking right by the property. The owners kindly told us of a way we could pay for 3 days parking at a cheap rate which was handy. The breakfast was good.
We took one step into the property and thought were are the dogs!! Everywhere was shabby and still in the 70s and when we got to our 2 rooms the shower was leaking in one room and there was a plastic bowl under the toilet in the other. The bathroom shelving unit was rusty and the t.v. was minute. I would not expect people to pay such a high rate for such a old fashioned property. The owners really need to update this property and not rely on a great breakfast to make customers happy. My kids kept asking can we go home early!! Please listen to your customers.

The location is amazing near the ferry, the coastal path and the main street of Ryde.
The room was great and spacious with an amazing view and a comfy bed. And the breakfast and the welcome were very good.
