I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Arcangel in the historic center of Cusco, on three occasions and I cannot recommend it enough! From start to finish, my experience was absolutely wonderful and was perfect as my base in Cusco as I went and did the Inca trail and a wellness retreat.
First and foremost, the location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's right in the heart of the historic center, just a stone's throw away from all of the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. I loved being able to step outside and immediately immerse myself in the vibrant culture and energy of Cusco.
But what really made my stay so special was the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The team went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I truly appreciated all of their efforts.

The hotel is located within the historic centre of Cusco and within easy walking distance of everywhere you would like to visit. The area felt very safe with locals and tourists always nearby exploring as we were.
The hotel entrance is straight off the road with staff around to help with bags etc. There is a wonderful large lounge and dining area in the local style with lots of wood……. can’t think how to describe but will add a photo at the end.
Our room was located at the top of a flight of stairs it was clean with twin beds and has an internal view into a sort of courtyard. There is no lift to the first floor but there are rooms on the ground floor. Beds were firm and very comfortable. Breakfast was good.
As there are people arriving and departing at strange times for tours you can hear noises so bring ear plugs if you don’t want to be disturbed.

We had stayed here three days earlier so this was a flying visit on our way to Ecuador the following morning.
Everything was as before. We enjoyed our last evening meal at Jack’s Cafe at the end of the road, food was excellent.
Just some strange noises of people coming and going for trips at odd times.

it was a pleasant 2 blocks to the main square and our room had a lovely view and a balcony. The staff was extremely helpful with a cell phone plan issue. Each day there is fresh coffee and and a very good breakfast.

Excellent location and choice for Cusco, just a street or two away from main center. Everything was good, we stayed one night so not much chance to enjoy the place better, and we were at breakfast by the time it started, but was good anyway. The staff arranged transportation to the airport for us.

Great location and value for money. Nice little hotel with clean rooms. Breakfast bag can be ordered the previous day if you go on an early tour.
Wifi is disconnecting a little and probably not the fastest but works. Breakfast is small but tastes nice, you get scrambled eggs, one glass of juice and a small bowl of fruits, bread and butter/jam.

Kind staff. Hotel is run by a wonderful family!
Room was very spacious.
Full kitchenette, including fridge, microwave, pots, pans, mini-stove, kettle, utensils, plates and washing-up liquid. You can save a lot of money if you're doing a longer stay here.
Bathtub-shower combo on elevated platform with good toiletries (bar soap AND liquid hand soap, individual body wash, individual shampoo and sometimes conditioner) and plenty of towels.
Good TV.
Large dining/lounge common area with 2 workstations and printer. Across from a semi-public bathroom that was spotless.
Free breakfast had fresh-squeezed orange juice, eggs and coffee, and they will bring it to your room.
Laundry service for a reasonable fee, OR they even let you use the laundry machines (if you have anything delicate that you want to do yourself)!
Very good COVID sanitation measures. Automated gel alcohol dispenser and free individually-wrapped face masks at entrance. Alcohol spray of luggage on check-in.
Good location, only a 5-minute walk from Plaza de Armas. It's on the east side, so while it's not close to the supermarkets, you are close to lots of other food options.
Wi-Fi was my biggest problem here. I very frequently got disconnected, and had choppy audio/video during teleconferences. There were also a number of times when the TV had no signal (presumably using the same provider for both TV and Internet). I did see a router near the 100's on the right side of the hotel, so if you are relying on Internet access for anything, maybe try to ask for one of those rooms.
Room service seemed to disregard the 'do not disturb' sign on the doorknob. On one hand, I appreciate how hard-working they were, cleaning my room even on days when I left very close to the stated noon cut-off. On the other, I did get caught in a state of partial undress on one of the days when I did not expect them to enter.
I think there may have been a small leak in my room. Large flies seemed to be able to enter (and disappear back out) the sunroof, and I found a small amount of water under this same sunroof one night when it was raining hard.
A couple times, I also found one or two small insects on the bed. I didn't wake up with bites or anything, so harmless, but it was still alarming on my first night.

It is a small hotel with nice decoration. We stayed in the room with lovely Balcony to look at Cusco by night. The bathroom is big with strong shower. The hospitality of Staff is unreal.
None.
