This is a beautiful house in a lovely location. The hosts provide everything needed and more e.g. tea, coffee, toilet rolls, kitchen paper, salt, pepper. The weather was not perfect but we still went to a sandy beach twice and to Pepper Pig World which my granddaughter loved.
Nothing to dislike

The property is superb. Perfectly located for getting around the New Forest and Lymington. Very clean, fully equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. Tom and Claire obviously take great pride in ensuring people that stay in their property enjoy their stay. The welcome pack and guide book to the house is an excellent touch. We would have had happily stayed longer if we’d had the time! We would have no hesitation in recommending the property and would definitely stay again.
The only niggle was that the showers were not powerful enough and the temperature control for the en suite shower was not very good. I’d like to point out that this is the only flaw with the property and did not dampen (no punintended!) our stay.

Well-located for the New Forest.
Quite hard to find as Google maps puts it in a different place. However, this small problem was compounded by roadworks and temporary traffic lights right by the drive to the property.

The property itself was great and done up very nicely. It has a great lounge and kitchen layout which provided us some excellent family time. The hosts were very accommodating and responded swiftly to any questions. They provided exceptional service. The experience allowed our family to enjoy the local area.
Very minor point which can be easily resolved; some bulbs were missing or not working, and we had to contact the owner/host to receive new ones. Some extra loo roll and kitchen roll would be handy. These points shouldn't take anything away from the positives of this booking.

We have just returned from our stay at No3 Buckland Cottages. My wife, parents, our 2 dogs and I had a great stay… the house was comfortable and worked well for 4 adults. Generally very clean and the garden was great for the 2 dogs. As a base for driving from, it was well located and close to the main road which links to all local attractions.
Even though the house was great as a driving location, for walking it was not so good. With 2 dogs, we had hoped the Buckland rings would have been a great place for them to have a run around. However, the fields were being used to graze cows… these fields are the only link to town as you can’t walk down the manor road (which we assumed from looking at the map). As such you have to walk north from the house to Sway road, which can be difficult to cross and has no footpath, cross into the field and across to the road back into town. If the cows were not there, it would be less of an issue, but as such, we had a Cow pat dodge walk at night after a meal (which was awesome) at the Monkey Brewhouse. This issue may only be seasonal and we may have been unlucky to stay when the cows were having their holiday too!

Beautiful cottage - clean and cosy, like a home away from home. Super comfy reclining sofa and chair in the sitting room. Ample outdoor seating and dining space. Kitchen very well equipped with plenty of places to sit and enjoy a meal. Upstairs, beds and bathrooms were comfortable and very nicely decorated and arranged. Brilliant location with wonderful Monkey Brewhouse just moments away.
Such minor details, but property could have benefitted from a larger style BBQ and a coffee table in the sitting room.

The patio doors need adjusting to make locking up easier and the lack of electrical points in bedrooms made it tricky to plug in something by the bed, you had to move furniture to find plug sockets in one bedroom.

Everything was perfect.

Great property and location. Lots of seating areas for relaxing.
No dishwasher tablets despite having a dishwasher - we had to go out and buy some. No air fresheners in any of the three bathrooms. Not essential but a cafetière would have been nice - we bought our own filter coffee with us and then had to go out and buy a cafetière. There was a coffee machine but no capsules for it.

Great location for exploring the New Forest. Buckland Rings just at the end of the Lane, ideal for morning walks with the dog. Lovely enclosed garden , quite a sun trap. Everything you could need in the house, home from home.
