The room was beautiful and very comfortable, loved the homemade biscuits 😋

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

The pub and the staff were great food was good the rooms need a little TLC. It was lovely and warm in the rooms
The pillows were very thin and the room was a bit tired

It was a shown in the pictures, had some pretty views. The room was very spacious for us. Very clean, the bathroom was lovely size had a bath and separate shower perfect for both adults and children. Had a kettle in the room with some lovely biscuits was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely. Great options. We will definitely be looking to come back in the future
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

The room was very charming and comfortable. The views are lovely and it is so quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious. It is a great place to stay.
We are not pet owners and there was a pet odour in the room. But it did not ruin our stay.

Atmosphere
4.3
Everything. The breakfast was very good and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was very comfortable. Great for the dogs as we all had individual apartments, so as we had a young dog I could take her out early without disturbing anyone else.
There was nothing I could say I didn’t like.
4.3
Grounds nice to walk around, staff friendly, large room. Bath and shower in room. Comfortable enough. Breakfast was nice.
Grandkids enjoyed their iceceam desserts.
Problem with sofa bed but this resolved quickly.
Meal was rather expensive, grandsons chicken strips over cooked. But he was so hungry he eat them anyway.
Room was ok, but could do with a bit of a revamp, most noticeable were the curtain rail and curtains which had lost most of there hooks so lots of sagging and gaps.
4.3
Friendly staff, nice clean and spacious rooms, good food! Shame about the weather for us (not something they can help obviously) as looks like it would be lovely in the sun with lots of outdoor spaces and tennis courts that are free to use! Would go again.

Staff were so friendly and helpful!

Very good rooms very comfortable, ground floor level, perfect with dogs, easy car parking had really good tasty breakfast, good selection.
We felt just 2 biscuits a little bit stingy also no little toiletries, quite unusual, didn’t really matter but just shows quality for a fairly high price
4.3
comfy beds and lovely rooms. Beautiful location. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast
They called us to say the bar and restaurant was closed for the evening we were there which was a shame as part of the reason we booked was to have food and drinks in the evening. otherwise everything was perfect.
4.3
Loved the location. It was very peaceful, the courtyard gardens were beautiful and the surrounding countryside stunning. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff very kind.
Nothing.

wonderful spacey room, quietly located - very friendly people

it’s location and accessibility.
the bedroom shows need some attention. unusually there was no shortage of hot water but I was unable to adjust the temperature, my wife thought I looked like a lobster.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, especially Amy who gave excellent customer service. The food was second to none. I'm so glad I booked!!
Nothing- I can't fault this place. Everything was excellent.

the bed was sooooooo comfortable I slept amazingly and the full English breakfast was delicious. the bacon was lovely thick slices 😍
that we weren’t there longer but that was due to being stuck in traffic on our way
4.3
Superb food. Fish and chips in bar on evening of arrival and excellent American pancakes and bacon on morning of departure and poached eggs. Chef was very professional and meals well presented. Location was rural. Locals friendly in the main bar and staff both helpful and courteous.
Worth visiting Shaftesbury a medieval Saxon settlement with Gold Hill. ( From the Hovis advert 'nought taken out' ). With a fantastic view south over dramatic countryside.
Curtains in bedroom were too light and short. They didn't fit properly and did not run along runners. Hooks were missing and they were difficult to draw closed. Looked like they had been fitted by amateurs. It was a shame as it detracted from our visit. The price of the stay was not reflected in the quality of the room. I would have expected a proper Nespresso coffee maker. Although the bathroom had good facilities including a rare bidet it was cold as the radiator was not good enough to heat the room.
4.3
The breakfast was cooked fresh and very good. The bed was very comfortable.
Think the room was a bit tired.
4.3
Nice little bar and a sofa upstairs to relax in. Large bedrooms nicely decorated and clean, also large bathroom with shower and a bath. Complimentary bottled water in the rooms. Friendly manager on arrival.
Room was very cold on arrival so we had to keep our coats on. Very small tv for the room size. Mix up at dinner when ordering so waited an hour for food and then not all options were available. Breakfast options were limited. We were compensated for the dinner wait.
4.3
The food was exceptional. So was the service. The family room worked really well for the three of us.
4.3
Lovely spacious and clean room. Great view from room. Probably the biggest bathroom we have ever had. Breakfast was amazing and staff we met all very friendly and helpful.
We didn't feel that the information about the pub/restaurant being closed was Lear enough in the email provided. You needed to have scrolled quite a long way down through the info to see this but it wasn't a big problem as we found suitable alternatives
4.3
nice location / nice people / food was good
mould in room corners, smelled stuffy, dirty Bathroom, lots of broken items just felt it was not maintained properly
